Damn this week...*tosses an exploding Jester head into the Harlequins lockerroom and locks the door as loud coughing can be heard* Bill Schroeder was absolute shit for me this week as was Delhomme(Yet his stats weren't as bad as Bledsoe...Bledsoe had 3 INT's and 1 lost fumble but gets like 7 points just cause of completions..WTF!). Didn't help that Emmitt was out and the guy I picked up to replace him had a bye week nor the fact that I CLEARLY put Kleinsasser in place of the questionable Desmond Clark but I guess it didn't count until next week's matchup...blargh. Damn David Givens for doing squat after last week's hot game too...fucker! My only shining star was 'Shoeless' Joe Horn at almost 20 points and Pats D at 13 points. Bet your ass, next week I'm pulling out every single big gun I got and I'm going for the most points possible. Bledsoe = 153 yards, 23 completions, 3 INT's, 1 Fumble Lost(7.26 points) Delhomme = 148 yards, 6 yards rushing but only 12 completions(0.86 points)...That's just fucked up man Blah...Bledsoe got 12 points on completions to incompletions compared to Delhomme's -3 points on completions to incompletions...*sigh*

Simple...Jericho goes out with Trish a couple times. They begin to have a nice fling when Christian tries to get involved with Trish. Jericho turns Face, saving Trish from the heelish Christian who continues to try and ruin their relationship while slowly building heat for himself in the process. Finally Christian abuses Trish, whatever and Jericho makes the save. In the PPV Match, Trish aids Jericho in the blow off and Jericho gets the gal, voila. Toss in Jericho slowly falling for Trish throughout and slowly weening from trying to prove he's better then Austin, or in the end Jericho could prove that Austin was just like Christian thus turning Austin heel or something. Jericho = Pretty over as a Face Christian = Major over now as a heel due to his obnoxious character and genuine "what a horrible person" type heat(I'm thinking Triple H after he took Steph from Test type) Trish = More over for sticking with Chris and being a bigger fan favorite for the females Not the greatest thing but the best I could do directly off the top of my head

WWF 97' also had "shock" TV and they did well too(The racism angle that got cut off, HBK and DX running rampant, etc.) however the "wrestling" side did even better money wise for the company however the WWE shied away so both sides do have merit however the wrestling side is the less riskier(no pun intended) road to take in terms of making money whilst keeping sponsors, etc.

I think this would work very well as each match, you could see Benoit and Guerrero trying to one up the other by having a better match and trying to prove to Vince that they deserve the shot at the Title first. This allows for a heated rivalry with both men even watching each other's matches at ringside, hiring other wrestlers to take the other one out, etc.

I personally enjoyed the love triangle however the problem with the current storylines is that they are either too vague in making use care for the characters or plain insulting our intelligence as viewers(Come on, Guerrero dousing Big Show with raw sewage!?!). I will say that I grew up watching the WWF/E from the Early 90's on so I might be a little old fashioned in my thinking however most of my favorite feuds/storylines were based in simpler backgrounds. Just because a storyline is complex doesn't necessarily mean it'll be great and also the storyline itsself is a major factor too because the better ones were usually wrapped up or given a better resolution(Unlike the Love Triangle or Higher Power which I also enjoyed...till Vince made it himself *sigh*)

Mind backing up your opinion with some facts rob? You keep saying how we all follow Wade Keller(Which is bullshit anyhow to generalize a mass populace like us into one group) and tell us we're wrong yet you don't give any opinions besides our ideas won't cause ratings to rise because it isn't shocking enough. We've pointed out for you to check the ratings threads, etc. as evidence for our belief but where's yours?

Also have you had access to the backstage area RVD420? Just cause you "almost" got in as a writer doesn't mean you know more about the business, it just means you can write pretty well according to their standards. Face it, you know just as much as we do so don't pull this holier then thou bullshit on us. Fact is, some of our storylines are not only original but pretty good(Check out the Fantasy Folder or the EWR Forums on Ryland's site for proof) but we choose to use them as a fun outlet rather then trying to get onto the writing staff.

Chris Jericho Kurt Angle Undertaker Steve Austin Christian Rob Van Dam Edge Scott Steiner Those are just some of the names that could be more entertaining if given something like an angle based on hatred or jealousy all os these guys you mention are good, but they are not the total package like rock or austin is. out of the three most important things that makes a wrestler, none of these guys has more than two. those being charisma(in ring), mic work, and working consistantly good matches. angle and jericho are the only ones who are close, but not quite as good total package wise. Remember when The Rock was the blue chipper, Rocky Maivia? Remember when Steve Austin was The Ringmaster? Back then, people probably would've thought the same thing as you're thinking in that they didn't have the total package(Hell, Foley admitted in his back that he thought Maivia should've been canned when in his blue chipper days) so it's not about the total package but rather how the wrestler is presented. Heck, they may even evolve into a total package.

And they're certainly doing a good job of that. Because you know ratings are so much better than they were in 98-00. one reason ratings were so great then is the talent. with austin and rock being used properly, they had some of the best entertainers of the century on the same show. there is no possible way that cant draw. Nowadays though have just as good talent... We aren't arguing your contributions, etc. Not me at least, I'm just arguing the fact that Crash TV isn't the way to go because once again, times are changing and this business is cyclical. Once something begins to die down and not work as effectively, it's time to try something new(Like what the WWF did during 96'/97' as they moved into the "Attitude" era which ironically was similar to what ECW had been doing in 94' and 95')

the backstories themselves don't need to get people talking though, the main thing is the results of the backstories! Bret vs Austin, Austin wanted to get rid of Bret so he started dismantling Bret at every opportunity to get him out of the WWF which in turn bought forth the great Canada vs USA angle(Bret detested Austin to the point where he turned on the US as well)
