As dominant as the Patriots were against Cleveland, their defense still worries me at times. Two of the interceptions were deflected passes (Asante made a really nice snare with his right hand on the ball out of the air) but they also allowed 287 yards and 2 TD to Anderson. The Browns could've added a TD if not for the first deflected INT and the Patriots red zone continues to struggle (Gostkowski had 2 field goals of 20 and 25 yards). I definitely think the Colts and Cowboys could give them a fight. Broncos have an outside shot if they can give Cutler time and establish a running game before the Patriots get up too big. Wright only had 15 carries but there were times where he was doing decent damage. Wright had 6 runs of 5 yards or more and Lewis' only run was for 11 yards.

Most Important/Influential Matches of All Time

2001-11-18 Survivor Series - Trish Stratus wins the vacant Women's Title over Lita, Molly Holly, Jacqueline, and Jazz. From late 2001-2004 (and into 2005) there is an underrated and strong Women's Division in the WWE similar to the IC Title during the mid 90's. The WWF(E) is the only major company to have a strong woman's division of this magnitude in the US. The following all were making an impact during that time frame: Trish Stratus, Molly Holly, Victoria (The Austin/Rock/HHH of the division IMO in terms of all three always being around the title at some point), Lita, Jazz, Jacqueline, Gail Kim, Stacy Kiebler, and Torrie Wilson with Ivory on the outskirts. -
Harley Quinn's FCS Rankings Notes: Montana holds onto the top spot with a hard fought win over Eastern Washington but I'm just waiting for them to falter. New Hampshire stays at 13 mainly due to their record and their inability to play any defense whatsoever it seems, even if the competition is very stout. They had a 21-3 lead at halftime at one point and nearly let Delaware win. Nicholls State, San Diego, and Yale all make big jumps due to record and strong showings all season (esp. Nicholls State). Alabama A&M gets ranked after a big win over Southern while Sam Houston State and Eastern Illinois are both on the verge of getting knocked out of the rankings. 1: Montana (5-0) - Won over Eastern Washington 24-23 [1] 2: Massachusetts (4-1) - Off Week [2] 3: Northern Iowa (5-0) - Off Week [3] 4: North Dakota State (4-0) - Off Week [4] 5: Appalachian State (5-1) - Won over Gardner-Webb 45-7 [5] 6: McNeese State (5-0) - Won over Texas State 41-20 [6] 7: Southern Illinois (6-0) - Won over 10 Youngstown State 24-17 [7] 8: Wofford (5-1) - Won over Citadel 28-7 [8] 9: James Madison (5-1) - Won over Northeastern 21-14 [9] 10: Hofstra (5-0) - Won over Maine 38-13 [12] 11: Youngstown State (4-2) - Lost to 7 Southern Illinois 24-17 [10] 12: Delaware (5-1) - Lost to 13 New Hampshire 35-30 [11] 13: New Hampshire (3-2) - Won over 11 Delaware 35-30 [13] 14: Yale (4-0) - Won over Dartmouth 50-10 [18] 15: Montana State (4-1) - Won over Southern Utah 7-3 [14] 16: Nicholls State (4-1) - Won over Northwestern State 58-0 [22] 17: Delaware State (4-1) - Won over Bethune-Cookman 24-10 [19] 18: San Diego (5-0) - Won over Valparaiso 41-27 [23] 19: Western Illinois (4-2) - Won over Indiana State 19-7 [21] 20: Drake (5-1) - Won over Butler 37-19 [25] 21: Alabama A&M (5-1) - Won over Southern 33-18 [uR] 22: Sam Houston State (2-3) - Lost to Central Arkansas 35-14 [15] 23: Eastern Illinois (3-3) - Lost to Eastern Kentucky 28-21 [16] 24: Richmond (3-2) - Lost to Towson 23-21 [17] 25: Southern (5-1) - Lost to Alabama A&M 33-28 [24]

Man these playoffs are great... Walk off 3 run HR, extra inning game with bugs, and now Colorado's lights go out!
-
Red Sox: Tom Yawkey (More so for the racist attitudes)...
-
Towson beat 17 Richmond 23-21 for the first "upset" of the FCS weekend. 13 New Hampshire narrowly beat out 11 Delaware 35-30... once again making me wonder where the hell to slot New Hampshire despite their up and down season record wise. In other FCS Spotlight games (earlier post in this thread) Fordham beat Lehigh 28-18. Morehead State beat Davidson 49-21. Wagner beat Robert Morris 20-13.

2002-11-17 Survivor Series Hardcore Match: Trish Stratus© vs. Victoria - A solid, fun match with some neat spots (including the slingshot into the trash can in the corner) but the ending was rather abrupt as Victoria didn't have a clear finisher at the time (The Widow's Peak would debut the next night) so the double suplexes caught me by surprise. **1/4 2003-01-27 Monday Night Raw Chicago Street Fight: Victoria© vs. Trish Stratus - Even better than the Survivor Series match and I love the fact that the girls played OFF the Survivor Series match as well. Victoria is the one to slingshot Trish into the trash can this time, knowing Trish was trying to repeat the move from the PPV match. Trish uses a trash can lid to actually make the handstand hurricanranna not look contrived. Trish busts out some offense (flying clothesline off the guard rail and a flying Thesz press off the apron). They play off the fire estinguisher spot, this time with Richards spraying Victoria after it "malfunctions" when Trish went over (in the SS match Victoria sprayed Trish). Only downside was the ending again seemed abrupt with Victoria sending Trish off the apron and face first into the barricade for the win (camera didn't catch this cleanly but the replay made it clearer). *** and one of the better Diva matches in the WWE's history. Could've been ***1/4-***1/2 if it went a little longer. Also, it's a testament to the girls that the crowd goes from a "We Want Puppies" chant to legit getting into the match (check out the nearfall on Trish after Victoria's superkick/Chick Kick). Even minor moves like a neckbreaker and a slap(!) were getting "Oooh's" from the crowd.

Probably matching up two teams that take the number of pitches (more so Boston but Anaheim's been doing its share tonight) that they do.
-
Nice to see TBS on the ball with the technical production values for the Sox/Angels game...
-
Angels take the 3-2 lead thanks to a Cabrera double.
-
Glad I'm not the only one who noticed the lack of a loud, clear mic'd crowd at Fenway... what the hell, TBS? The 2 run single was miniscule crowd sound wise in comparison to NESN broadcasts. The crowd should be the same as the Indians crowd but the micing is leaving a more subdued sound.
-
"Let's Go, Fausto" chant... nice and loud too. Sweet. A-Rod down 1-2 now.
-
Seriously... that has gotta suck playing like that. Perspiring, getting bitten by a hundred swarming bugs... ugh.
-
Wow! That's one way of scoring the game tying run... go Indians go.
-
Busting out the bug spray to fend off the things... awesome.

I'll nominate the 1993-05-27 Raw: Shawn Michaels vs. Marty Jannetty match. Set the stage for the "big feel" events/matches and that "anything can happen" feel on Monday Night Raw and later Monday Nitro. 1995-11-20 Raw: Shawn Michaels vs. Owen Hart (Collapse angle). Further cemented the above as well as setting the stage for Shawn Michaels' run from the Royal Rumble to WM12 and as a result of WM12, we saw Bret Hart move on to Steve Austin and culminate in Survivor Series 1997. 1998-01-18 Royal Rumble: Shawn Michaels vs. Undertaker. Exacerbates Shawn's back injuries that had been cummulating during his career, leading to both his "retirement" and the changing of the guard to Steve Austin's WWF Title reign and the 'height' of the WWF. -
The San Diego Padres claimed Luis Rodriguez from the Minnesota Twins off waivers. He hit .219/.281/.303 last season at age 27 in 173 plate appearances. Not sure on his defensive metrics (MIB? Al? Somebody?) but I guess his one "upside" would be that he was a just crappy hitter against righties when hitting lefty (.221/.276/.328 in 2007 in 135 PA - .246/.310/.360 in 408 career PA). Mr. Leg Kick (Brad Ausmus) seems close to signing a 1 year extension with the Houston Astros too.
