Hmm... Detroit does have WR Mike Furrey ya know OG Justin Blalock out of Texas is the only other "premiere" offensive line talent it seems. Other guys to keep an eye on OL wise: OT Levi Brown out of Penn State (6'5", 328 lbs.), OT Joe Staley out of Central Michigan (6'5", 300 lbs.), OG Josh Beekman out of Boston College (6'1", 321 lbs.), OG Ben Grubbs out of Auburn (6'3", 318 lbs.), and C Doug Datish out of Ohio State (6'5", 295 lbs.)

My 4 Wildcard Teams AFC: New York Jets and Kansas City Chiefs. A healthy Trent Green is a huge difference maker. NFC: Carolina Panthers and New York Giants. I'm kind of holding out hope for either the San Francisco 49ers or Minnesota Vikings to make it though, just cause I hate the Giants.

I like Matt Cassel and think he could be a solid play if pressed but I'm not sure if he'd be able to carry a team on his back like Derek Anderson did today. Seriously, what's up with the sudden rookie QB explosion? Jay Cutler tonight, Matt Leinart, Vince Young, Jason Campbell, Tony Romo, and now Derek Anderson w/Frye's injury. Anybody know the record for how many rookie QBs have ever started at least 1 game during the same season?

Here's the Dolphins schedule from 1972 and the W/L... 1: Kansas City (8-6) 2: Houston (1-13) 3: Minnesota (7-7) 4: New York Jets (7-7) 5: San Diego (4-9-1) 6: Buffalo (4-9-1) 7: Baltimore (5-9) 8: Buffalo (4-9-1) 9: New England (3-11) 10: New York Jets (7-7) 11: St. Louis (4-9-1) 12: New England (3-11) 13: New York Giants (8-6) 14: Baltimore (5-9) Going undefeated is all nice and dandy but for my Top 10 SB teams, they don't make the cut. That schedule overall is utterly deplorable and the only reason they ranked 11th was because of their postseason run and SB win. The best team they faced during the regular season was barely above .500! 6 of their opponents barely had 5 wins. Can you seriously tell me that without that wicked easy schedule, the Dolphins would've gone undefeated? Can you name a single season where a "top" team had such an easy schedule to run through? A good SB winning team is dominant in the regular season AND the post season, not just the post season. Just look at how many points they averaged in the playoffs. They beat Cleveland 20-14, Pittsburgh 21-17, and Washington 14-7. You're telling me they should be ahead of the teams I listed in my Top 10? They didn't even win convincingly in the playoffs and the SB. For comparison... The 1985 Bears (15-1) lost to a 12-4 Dolphins team. The 1998 Broncos (14-2) lost to an 8-8 Giants team and a 10-6 Dolphins team. The 1991 Redskins (14-2) lost to an 11-5 Cowboys team and a 10-6 Eagles team. The 1984 49ers (15-1) lost to a 9-7 Steelers team. The 1986 Giants (14-2) lost to a 7-9 Cowboys and 10-6 Seahawks team. All those teams won Super Bowls while losing at least 1 game in the regular season to very good opponents, unlike those faced by the 1972 Dolphins. They all lost to teams that went at least 9-7 while also playing in much tougher divisions. So that's how the 1972 Dolphins don't crack my Top 10.

My Top 10 SB Teams since I couldn't do only 5. I mainly used dominance not only during the regular season but also the postseason as my basis for which teams were the most dominant. The 1996 Packers, 1969 Chiefs, and 1966 Packers are underrated IMO, especially the Packers. I have the 1972 Dolphins knocked out because, while undefeated, they played a notoriously weak division (#2 was 7-7) and the only team they played above .500 during the season was the Chiefs at 8-6. The Dolphins won that 20-10. #1: 1985 Chicago Bears (Averaged 28.50 points and allowed 12.38 points a game over the regular season). Averaged 30.33 points and allowed 10 points (2 games were shutouts) a game in the postseason. #2: 1984 San Francisco 49ers (Averaged 29.69 points and allowed 14.19 points a game over the regular season). Averaged 27.33 points and allowed 13 points (including 1 shutout) a game in the postseason. #3: 1978 Pittsburgh Steelers (Averaged 22.25 points and allowed 12.19 points a game over the regular season.) Averaged 34 points and allowed 15.33 (2 games were 10 points or less) in the postseason. #4: 1991 Washington Redskins (Averaged 30.31 points and allowed 14 points a regular season). Averaged 34 points and allowed 13.67 points (7 and 10 points in 2 games) a game in the postseason. #5: 1992 Dallas Cowboys (Averaged 25.56 points and allowed 15.19 points a game over the regular season). Averaged 38.67 points and allowed 15.67 points a game in the postseason. #6: 1996 Green Bay Packers (Averaged 28.50 points and allowed 13.13 points a game over the regular season). Averaged 33.33 points and allowed 16 points a game in the postseason. #7: 1975 Pittsburgh Steelers (Averaged 26.64 points and allowed 11.57 points a game over the regular season). Averaged 21.67 points and allowed 12.33 points a game in the postseason. #8: 1969 Kansas City Chiefs (Averaged 25.64 points and allowed 12.64 points a game over the regular season). Averaged 17.67 points and allowed 6.67 points a game in the postseason. #9: 1977 Dallas Cowboys (Averaged 24.64 points and allowed 15.14 points a game over the regular season). Averaged 29 points and allowed 7.67 points a game in the postseason. #10: 1966 Green Bay Packers (Averaged 23.93 points and allowed 11.64 points a game over the regular season). Averaged 34.50 points and allowed 18.50 points (10 in the SB) a game in the postseason. Honorable Mention: 1972 Miami Dolphins (Averaged 27.50 points and allowed 12.21 points a game over the regular season). Averaged 18.33 points and allowed 12.67 points (7 in the SB) a game in the postseason.

#1/#2: Salvage... no. Plaxico gives a half hearted effort at best, David Tyree and Sinorice Moss are both injured, and Amani Toomer went on IR. Tim Carter and Michael Jennings are operating as their #2/#3's and Eli can't do well with players who realistically are #4/#5s on the depth chart. Eli Manning himself has been playing poorly. His last 4 games in QB Rating... vs. Tennessee: 59.10 (12) vs. Jacksonville: 51.90 (11) vs. Chicago: 28.30 (10) vs. Houston: 76.30 (9) The Giants aren't winning any games if Manning continues to be so poor. His accuracy was solid against poor defenses (Tennessee/Houston) but the O-Coordinator has been limiting him tremendously. His YPA the last 4 games: 5.1, 5.6, 3.8, and 6.4. As for the defense, the following starters are injured: Michael Strahan, Osi Umenyiora, Barry Cofield, Brandon Short, Carlos Emmons, Sam Madison, and Corey Webster. They've also lost LaVar Arrington and Justin Tuck to IR. Their upcoming schedule is brutal too. They'd be lucky to finish out 1-4. vs. Dallas @ Carolina vs. Philadelphia @ New Orleans vs. Washington

Just fun... screw those who don't like it. Brenda Lee - "Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree." Classic for a reason. Chuck Berry - "Run Rudolph Run." WHAM! - "Last Christmas." It is WHAM!... If I were the Lions, I'd try and trade down to around pick 7-10 and grab another 3rd round pick. Go O-Line, go D-Line in the 2nd, get a QB and another O-Line (with the extra pick) in the 3rd, and fill out positions in the 4th - 7th.

Kansas City/San Diego is also another fun "playoff" type game to keep an eye on in terms of impact. I didn't see Nolan but dug the suit look on Del Rio. I wouldn't mind seeing some coaches bring it back.

I presume it's an uncatchable ball by either the receiver or the defender (think Vick overthrowing a WR). Other examples would be a deep ball being overthrown, a ball being thrown at the feet of a receiver, etc. A recent example would be the swing pass that Brees threw to LT that lead LT too far and bounced out of bounds.

Found this on Stats Inc regarding Vick and his incompletions in 2006. Michael Vick: 127 incompletions 10.2% are dropped 34.6% are poor throws 20.5% are passes defended 7.1% are intercepted Here's a comparison to other "average" quarterbacks David Carr: 87 incompletions - 11.5% are drops - 17.2% are poor throws - 25.3% are defended - 6.9% are intercepted Chad Pennington: 109 incompletions - 11% are drops - 23.9% are poor throws - 25.7% are defended - 10.1% are intercepted Charlie Frye: 112 incompletions - 12.7% are drops - 28% are poor throws - 23.7% are defended - 10.2% are intercepted J.P. Losman: 98 incompletions - 4.1% are drops - 33.7% are poor throws - 19.4% are defended - 7.1% are intercepted It's clear that the most damning thing against Michael Vick as a QB is his unreliability to be accurate from 5 yards to 50 yards. Even those proponents saying the drops are killing him, there are QBs in the league where their receivers are hurting them more. Tom Brady: 11.9% are drops. Peyton Manning: 10.1% are drops. Drew Brees: 12.4% are drops. Philip Rivers: 10.1% are drops. Eli Manning: 10.1% are drop. Donovan McNabb: 19.1% are drops (holy shit!)

This season Ashley Lelie: 18 catches on 42 targets (43%) Michael Jenkins: 26 catches on 57 targets (46%) Alge Crumpler: 36 catches on 69 targets (52%) Roddy White: 19 catches in 41 targets (46%) Warrick Dunn: 14 catches in 18 targets (78%) Last Season - Brian Finneran had 50 catches in 81 targets (62%) The top players have an insane number of targets for a reason (minimum 85). While Vick has spread the ball around a bit, that's hurt him more than helped him IMO. He needs to continue targeting Crumpler/Jenkins and start getting Dunn more involved in the passing game. Dunn needs to start being split out like LT, Bush, and Westbrook are and let Vick use him as a 2nd/3rd WR in those formations. The loss of Finneran is a huge loss. Finneran is like having a second Crumpler on the team at 6'5" and Vick will do better when Finneran returns to the team next season (season ending injury, right?).
