What is it with the Indians and infielders? Bench depth? Injury insurance? No idea...hmmm...this is an interesting question then! Is it better to have a surplus of infielders like the Cleveland Indians or a surplus of outfielders like the Minnesota Twins had?

Cleveland Indians signed SS Jose Hernandez to a 1 year, $1.8 Million contract.

Ok....they may be great in a few years, but for now they would leave a hole the size of Asia in the line-up. They trade Sosa, they need to replace him with a solid bat. DuBois is a B/B- prospect. He could be a useful player, but he's probably not a star in the making. Kelton's a C. There's no telling if he can ever be a big league regular or not. So you are telling me that me being hopeful in this situation probably is just wishful thinking? Can you give me ANY good news involving the Cubs or Orioles? Or should I just prepare my "Wait till 2006" signs? Dubois did hit .316/.389/.630 in 386 AB for AAA Iowa. He also had 31 HR and 26 doubles so the guy clearly has some power to his bat. For the Orioles: SP Matt Riley should be a solid addition to the rotation. He has a career 1.27 ERA in the minors despite struggling a bit last year with the Orioles. If he can cut down the walks, he should be fine.

Oh bloody hell! I'm officially fucked now...blargh. How the hell am I supposed to beat a guy who has Brees, Holt, Moss, KJ(who I ironically traded to him...), JJ, and T.J.! *looks at his roster* I have a very slim chance...sorta. SA faces the Jets and Pittman faces the Aints D. Kinney/Bennett both face the Raiders D and Kennison/TG face Denver. Jaguars do face GB though...damnit.

The Anaheim Angels are also close to signing Esteban Yan to a 2 year roughly $3 Million contract according to the LA Times. Pretty good steal for the Angels if Yan can repeat last year's performance where he had a 3.83 ERA.

Anyways, just ordered Zoo Tycoon II with a bonus Monkey or Zebra(?) Pen for my sister off Amazon. $34.99 with the free super save shipping and should ship Dec. 14th/15th so I wanted to hear what others have or will be getting family members or GF/BF's.

I'm all for the rookie draft idea *thumbs up...then grabs Cedric Benson* I also think we should designate automatic keeper slots(along with the original 6 max.) so that we can keep them for say a maximum of 3 years. This way, if a rookie doesn't pan out by then the owner can cut them or trade them to an owner who thinks he may still have value.

"Foosball fucked up my perception of soccer. I though you had to kick the ball and then spin 'round and round. I can't do a backflip, much less several simultaneously with two other guys." "One time a guy handed me a picture of himself, and he said, "Here's a picture of me when I was younger." Every picture of you is of when you were younger. Here's a picture of me when I am older. You son of a bitch, how'd you pull that off? Let me see that camera..." "When you go to a restaurant on the weekends and it's busy they start a waiting list. They start calling out names, they say "Dufrane, party of two. Dufrane, party of two." And if no one answers they'll say their name again. "Dufrane, party of two, Dufrane, party of two." But then if no one answers they'll just go right on to the next name. "Bush, party of three." Yeah, what happened to the Dufranes. No one seems to give a shit. Who can eat at a time like this - people are missing. You fuckers are selfish....the Dufranes are in someone's trunk right now, with duct take over their mouths, and they're hungry. Bush, search party of three, you can eat when you find the Dufranes."

Honestly...whoever wins the AFC Championship will take the Super Bowl. New England: Has scored 20 points or more in a game all season long except once. Very capable offense that is now even more dangerous with Corey Dillon running the ball. Secondary will be getting healthier by the playoffs and their defense is as solid as they get in the NFL. Indianapolis: Good luck trying to stop that offense. I have doubts that New England could stop them considering how hot Peyton and Edge are. The Colts D is their big weakness and has gotten exposed numerous times but if they keep the opponents score low, the Colts should romp. Pittsburgh: Roethlisberger is Brady V. 2 in that he does enough to get the job done and doesn't make many mistakes. Duce and Bettis can both hit 100+ yards if starting and Bettis is a dangerous goalline back. Their D is also very solid and really stepping it up as of late.

The First CD(Dawn to Dusk) on Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness is really fucking good. In particular I love the stretch from MCATIS to Bullet With Butterfly Wings.
-
Also with Kelly Holcomb out, Luke McCown makes his first NFL Start against the Patriots D. Should make for a nice entrance heh.
-
I cheer for the AFC East teams(and Indianapolis Colts) as long as they aren't playing the Patriots.

What does your team need to do in the offseason?

TE is definitely exploding as more of a utilized position this season. It's almost like getting a pass catching TE is now the way to go and it's definitely paying off. Antonio Gates: 69 catches, 795 yards and 11 TD Tony Gonzalez: 64 catches, 838 yards and 5 TD Eric Johnson: 65 catches, 684 yards and 2 TD Jason Witten: 58 catches, 667 yards and 5 TD Those 4 guys place in the Top 17(incl. WR) among catches on the season! Other Valuable TE's... Randy McMichael: 51 catches, 622 yards and 4 TD Alge Crumpler: 43 catches, 709 yards and 6 TD Jeremy Shockey, Daniel Graham, Bubba Franks, Mark Campbell and Dallas Clark all have 5 TD. Marcus Pollard despite only 20 catches has 6 TD on the season.
