Emmitt Smith is out so Arizona will be trotting out Rookie QB John Navarre(for those Michigan football fans) and RB Larry Crooms. Chad Pennington will share practice reps with QB Quincy Carter throughout the week. Vinny Testaverde will be starting this week for the Dallas Cowboys as well.

How's everybody doing if they're using position by committees?(Example: Playing the best matchup that week in a position like QB or RB). I've mostly been riding Favre throughout the season but am contemplating looking at the better matchup for the playoffs. Week 1: TG 4.26 Plummer 18.50 Week 2: Favre 12.98 TG 1.98 Week 3: Favre 37.40 TG 22.04 Week 4: Favre 8.40 TG 15.62 Week 5: Favre 19.72 TG Bye Week 6: Favre 22.08 TG 10.60 Week 7: Favre 21.72 TG 10.76 Week 8: Favre 8.56 TG 32.26 Week 9: TG 25.16 Favre Bye Week 10: TG 11.74 Favre 33.44 Week 11: Favre 18.92 TG 19.84 Week 12: Favre 27.10 TG 6.02 Total: 218.04 RBBC Week 1: SA 34.60 KJ 7.00 QGrif 31.70 Week 2: SA 4.50 KJ 7.00 Week 3: SA 25.40 KJ 0.80 Week 4: Pittman 7.20 BJ Sams 18.50 SA Bye KJ Bye Week 5: Pittman 8.00 SA 21.40 BJ Sams 13.60 KJ 0.00 Week 6: Pittman 9.30 SA 14.70 BJ Sams Bye KJ 0.50 Week 7: SA 6.50 BJ Sams 9.65 Pittman 20.40 KJ 12.50 Week 8: SA 32.80 KJ 10.70 BJ Sams 3.40 Pittman Bye Week 9: SA 28.00 KJ 2.30 BJ Sams 4.70 Pittman 33.80 Week 10: SA 15.90 Pittman 7.80 TJ 0.00 Week 11: SA 15.60 TJ 8.20 Pittman 22.60 Week 12: Pittman 24.30 SA 3.90 TJ 9.40 Total: 324.05

What does your team need to do in the offseason?
HarleyQuinn replied to therealworldschampion's topic in Sports
New England Patriots Potential FA's: G Andruzzi, Joe 29(Re-sign to a 1 year contract) RT Ashworth, Tom 27(Re-Sign to a 2-3 year contract if possible) WR Brown, Troy 33 WR Givens, David 24(Re-Sign to a 3-4 year contract) T Gorin, Brandon 26 DE Green, Jarvis 26(Re-Sign to a 2-3 year contract) T Klemm, Adrian 27(Re-Sign to a 2 year contract) G Neal, Steve 28 FB Pass, Patrick 27(Re-Sign to a 1-2 year contract)) WR Patten, David 30(Re-Sign to a 1 year contract) K Vinatieri, Adam 32(Re-Sign to a 2 year contract) Needs: - Another solid WR to replace Troy Brown(Maybe shift TB to CB permanently next season) and possibly David Patten. They currently have P.K. Sams, Deion Branch, Bethel Johnson, and David Givens to hold down the fort but could look at a FA WR to come in ala Dedric Ward and J.J. Stokes in previous seasons. Candidates: Dane Looker(St.. Louis), Cedrick Wilson(San Francisco), Kelly Campbell(Minnesota), Tai Streets(Detroit), Reche Caldwell(San Diego), Plaxico Burress(Pittsburgh), Troy Edwards(Jacksonville), Corey Bradford(Houston), and Travis Taylor(Baltimore). - Could bring in a younger FA T and G or could go that route via the draft. Definitely look at getting younger in the LB corps as the youngest players we have now are Banta-Cain(24) and Chatham, Colvin and Kurpeikis all at 27. Candidates: G Ben Hamilton(Denver), G Bennie Anderson(Baltimore), T Kareem McKenzie(Jets), T Matt Willig(Carolina), G Matt Lehr(Dallas), G Marco Rivera(Green Bay but 32), G Eric Heitmann(San Francisco), T Orlando Pace(St. Louis) and T Floyd Womack(Seattle). - Defensive Line is very young and has great depth. - Cornerbacks are young but could use some FA pickups to add depth since Law and Poole are both getting up there in age. Potential CB candidates: Fred Smoot, Ken Lucas, Jimmy Williams, Allen Rossum, Renaldo Hill, Andre Dyson, Charles Woodson, and Gary Baxter. - Maybe draft a kicker in the late rounds as insurance behind Vinatieri due to his age. - Definitely look at grabbing a solid FA backup QB. Potential players could be Quincy Carter, Mike McMahon, and Gus Frerotte. Market is very thin though so they may be better off drafting one. -
Wow...I'm making everything dramatic aren't I? First making it to the ACC Championship Game and now potentially making it to a Bowl Game if I win!

Weekend Boxoffice Report, November 24-28
HarleyQuinn replied to Youth N Asia's topic in Television & Film
As a huge SMG fan, I'm glad to see The Grudge is still raking in a moderate amount of money and a shitload as a total. -
Actually, the Madness Draft was completely random in terms of who picked where...the names were drawn out of a hat for the order.

I like that idea Flik as it worked pretty well for the NBA H2H league IMO. It'd also allow owners to choose A)How many they want to keep and B)Decide who is truly worth keeping rather than trying to find 6 guys to keep just to say they kept 6.

Remember the Colts/Packers shoot out? The Colts were up 35-17 entering the 3rd quarter. Suddenly entering the 4th quarter, the Colts are up 35-24. The Colts managed a FG to make it 38-24 before the Packers scored another TD to make it 38-31 and with-in a TD of tying the game. Week 5, the Colts barely beat Jacksonville 24-17 despite the Jaguars putting up 11 points in the 4th quarter. Then they lost to Jacksonville 27-24 thanks to a 53 yard FG with 38 seconds left(Jags scored 14 in the 4th quarter) and lost to Kansas City the following week 45-35(Chiefs scored 14 in the 4th quarter). In Week 9, Minnesota scored 14 points in the 4th quarter and only lost by 3 points. If I were Peyton, I'd be running that score up till high noon because if my defense is going to be giving up 14 points alone in the 4th quarter than I'd better be making sure that we have enough points so they can't beat us by scoring 2 or 3 TD's.

I'd go with Ward who should see more throws since Plaxico is out. I'd also go with Fitzgerald since Carter is capable of throwing for 325+ yards.
-
Replied Alf...and posted on the other board too. Also even though keeping Artest hurts this year, next year Artest should return and put up consistent numbers....assuming he doesn't fuck up next year though.
-
Yeah, we're working with a 6 keeper dynasty...sorry for the confusion.

You can still trade players and with rookie drafts, you can draft players that may/may not pan out. You can also do the normal add/drop and WW moves too. So it's not like you HAVE to have the same lineup in 2006 that you had in 2004.

Proposed trades to Paper Tigers and Gibbs Disciples. Let me know what you guys think, thanks.

Texas has faced two #24 teams, a #19 and got shut out by Oklahoma. They'll face #22 this week. Tennessee has beaten #9 Florida, lost to #9 Auburn and beaten #3 Georgia. I don't care what you say Dam, but the higher the team is ranked than usually the better they are as seen with Texas right? Tennessee beat 1 Top 10 team and a Top 5 team! Texas got spanked by the only Top 15 team they faced(#2 Oklahoma) and have beaten 2 teams that are not higher than the Top 20 with one barely better.

I support the dynasty idea. Also technically Flik, a dynasty means that the whole team is kept and there's a rookie draft every year for the incoming draft(usually held after the real draft).
-
Team rankings were what they were at the time of the matchup. Cal's lost to #1 USC by only 6 points and beaten #21 Arizona State 27-0. USC has beaten #7 California 23-17 and #19 Arizona State 45-7 Auburn has beaten #4 LSU 10-9, #8 Tennessee 34-10 and #5 Georgia 24-6. Oklahoma has beaten #5 Texas 12-0, #20 Oklahoma State 38-35 and #22 Texas A&M 42-35. Cal stands no shot at upstaging Oklahoma period. Auburn has had the toughest beating 1 Top 10 and 2 Top 5 teams. USC has also had an easier schedule beating a Top 20 and Top 10 team vs Oklahoma beating a Top 5, Top 20, and Top 25 team.

Wow, so I could jump to 6-6 just because of 2 straight "forfeits"...

Good article. Also to clarify for you...the 7th TD was as a result of a 77 yard interception return with 1:47 left in the game. Not a Peyton pass or Edge run, etc.

All I have to say is...poor Boston College. They basically get a choice of getting their asses kicked by Utah, Miami, Texas or Oklahoma. OUCH:(

I'm totally rooting for the NY Jew Crew cause they're just awesome and fun to watch. I'm also pulling for the Lena and other girl team cause they seem like they don't hate each other...and fuck Colin V. 2.0
