I love this trade for you. Vinny will continue to put up 30-40 pass attempts a game and he has a DAMN good WR trio with Antonio Bryant, Terry Glenn and Keyshawn Johnson who can all score and get the first downs. LJ Smith is quickly turning into the #1 TE option in Philly and will receive a few looks from McNabb compared to Cooley. Curtis Martin also faces Miami in weeks 4 and 8 as well as San Francisco in week 5 so he has a good schedule ahead. NE in week 7 will be hard but they've proven that they can get run over. Granted, AG is a fab. runner but CuMart is almost on par with him and the other positions look like favorable upgrades.

UPSET CITY BAY-BEE!!!
-
I'd start Clayton and Colbert. Tampa Bay is a pre-dominant pass offense and even as a #2, Clayton could still see 4-6 catches and 60-85 yards with 1 score.

You too can join in on our misery(Sox Nation) as we make it oh so close to the WS only to fuck it up year...after year...after year....after year!!!

I second Chun-Li. I also liked Cammy(SF series?)

#1. Which offseason (draft, free agency, trade) pickup do you think will make the greatest impact with his new team? - Marcus Robinson with the Minnesota Vikings! Guy gives the Vikings a solid #2 across from Moss that is capable of making huge plays with help from Culpepper. Robinson makes the Vikings a resemblance of the 98 team with Robinson filling the Moss #2 role. Granted, he'll likely be out week 1 but Burleson should be a capable fill in until Robinson returns in week 2 or 3. #2. With the sudden retirement of Ricky Williams, how do you see the Dolphins dealing with the loss of their #1 offensive threat? - I see them struggling quite a bit. Chris Chambers should put up another great year however neither Jay Fielder nor A.J. Feeley strike fear in an opponent. Travis Minor/Lamar Gordon can't match the production Williams made and the O-Line isn't the worlds greatest even with the drafting of Vernon Carey. #3. Will we see Kurt Warner benched anytime during the season in favor of Eli Manning? - Easily. Warner doesn't have the weapons in Barber/Dayne at RB nor at WR in Toomer/Hilliard. Shockey is the most overrated TE ever as he rarely scores any TD and that won't help Warner keep his job. Also the abysmal O-Line may get him killed before week 2 as is. #4a. Which team that did not make the playoffs last year do you think has the best chance of making a splash? - Minnesota Vikings. Fabulous offense with a solid defense upgraded in the secondary. They have a great d-line with Chris Hovan bringing the pass rush and the offense should be enough to get them victories. #4b. Which team that DID make the playoffs do you think will fall the farthest? - None. I think they've all upgraded well enough. Dallas could surprise and finish 8-8 or 9-7 since their defense is still very solid. #5. Will the Raiders' locker room be the most entertaining to watch (or more accurately, listen to) this season? - That distinction will go to Philadelphia when McNabb starts missing Owens. #6. Which player do you see making "The Leap" (to borrow a phrase from Bill Simmons) this year, becoming a force in the league? - Jerry Porter. No opposition and he'll quickly be the #1 target in Oakland. #7. What do you think will be the biggest surprise (good or bad) this season? - The explosion of offensive scoring. #8. Who wins the AFC? - The Patriots. People can say that the Pats corners will be hurt by the new rule but they'll adjust quick enough and maintain their dominance through the LB/D-Line group. Offensively, Dillon will be a huge help in the running game. Darkhorse: Denver Broncos with their more then capable offense(Griffin/Bell could easily bust out a great season) and the defense has been upgraded tremendously. #9. Who wins the NFC? - This is pretty much a crap shoot at this rate but I'll take the Minnesota Vikings. They've upgraded their secondary and should be improved defensively and with an offense like theirs, that makes them even more dangerous. Darkhorse: Atlanta Falcons with a healthy Vick and a change to the 4-3 defense. DeAngelo Hall gives them a play making threat on returns and on defense. #10. Super Bowl XXXIX, who wins it? - Patriots. Their offense will be enough to get past the Vikings D and with Belichek, they'll find a way to stop Randy Moss and Marcus Robinson through blitz packages.

New England Patriots Best: 2002 - Daniel Graham: Solid receiving TE who could be even better if he caught the ball more - Deion Branch: Dependable WR prone to big games. As shown when he replaced an injured Troy Brown as a starter during the regular season. - Rohan Davey: NFL Europe MVP~! - Jarvis Green: Capable of being a very solid DE. - Antwoine Womack: Never did anything. - David Givens: A reliable #3 WR capable of starting any game. Worst: 2001 - Richard Seymour: Stud defensive player. - Matt Light: Somewhat mediocre tackle(shows solid play at times but not enough) - Brock Williams: Who? - Kenyatta Jones: Hyped offensive lineman who never really panned out - Jabari Holloway: Did nothing with us - Hakim Akbar: Who...again? - Arther Love: WHO??? - Leonard Myers: Decent but unspectacular S - Owen Pochman: Yep...him! - T.J. Turner: Who?

I believe it is at Foxboro. You believe correctly. Kevin Faulk is out for the Pats and Troy Brown is questionable so the special teams looks a little light right now. They still have BETHEL JOHNSON~! to return kicks so it's not that horrible. As far as the backup RB situation goes, Dillon will likely get 20-25 carries with Pass maybe getting 5 carries for the rest of the game. At this point, they could always use Dan Klecko in the FB position and put Pass at the backup RB spot
-
I'd call the Panthers secondary pretty suspect myself. Chris Gamble is pretty unknown in terms of NFL play at this stage and Tom Brady threw for 354 yards in the Super Bowl with only 1 INT. Ricky Manning Jr. had 3 INT during all of the 2003 season. Dante Wesley had 0 in 16 games and William Hampton had 0 in 5 games last season.
-
I predict the high scoring game will be Denver vs Kansas City. Two light 'em up style offenses with kickers hitting in the Mile High Air = explosive scoring.

WR: Koren Robinson and Javon Walker TE: Antonio Gates

New England Patriots = 14-2 or 13-3, reach the Super Bowl QB: Tom Brady is Mr. Dependable. Not too flashy but he's able to give you 270-310 yards throwing on any given day with a TD or 2. Rohan Davey is scheduled to be the backup to Brady at this point but he hasn't impressed me much nor has Kingsbury the #3 QB. However Jim Miller, when healthy could see himself in the backup role. RB: Corey Dillon is a monster upgrade to a team that featured guys like Kevin Faulk and Antowain Smith over the last couple seasons. Dillon gives the Pats their first real RB threat since Curtis Martin(one could argue since Robert Edwards). Despite the Pats mainly focusing on the pass, they can just as easily run the ball and aren't afraid to ram it down their opponents' throats if they had the proper weapon which they do now. Kevin Faulk will remain the 3rd down back and catch balls out of the backfield as well as likely return kickoffs with Bethel Johnson. Cedric Cobbs has been placed on the PUP list leaving just two RBs in Dillon and Faulk. Patrick Pass is also a capable FB who does what needs to be done. WR: They have a plethora of consistent players such as David Givens, Troy Brown, Deion Branch, David Patten and Bethel Johnson. Patten and Givens have earned the starting jobs however the only WR that tops 6' is David Givens at 6'0" and rookie P.K. Sam at 6'3". Bethel Johnson could easily emerge as the deep ball threat for the offense however. TE: Daniel Graham could be solid once he learns to catch the ball more. Christian Fauria is a dependable TE and rookie Ben Watson could see time as well. O-Line: Not the greatest but solid enough that they can hold their own against most defensive lines. D-Line: SCARY! At DE they have Jarvis Green, rookie Marquise Hill and Rodney Bailey who is currently on the IR. Richard Seymour could see time at DE if injuries hit the team as could Willie McGinest. At DT they have Dan Klecko(Mr. Everything last year), Richard Seymour, rookie Vince Wilfork and FA signee Keith Traylor who is a monster in size. Dana Stubblefield is also on the IR and could be productive when he comes back. LB: A great LB core who can pick the ball off and deliver the hits all the same. Tedy Bruschi, a healthy Roosevelt Colvin, Ted Johnson, Mike Vrabel, a converted Willie McGinest and Roman Phifer make this LB group deep and scary to face. CB: A solid group with Ty Law leading the way with Tyrone Poole lining opposite him. Eugene Wilson and Asante Samuel came through big last year as rookies and look to be important cogs this season. Rookie Randall Gay could also see some time. The only worries are that they are mostly undersized with Ty Law being the tallest at 5'11". S: HARD HITTING! Rodney Harrison brings the big plays as well as the pain. Asante Samuel could see time here again as could 2nd year player Shawn Mayer out of Penn State and rookie Dexter Reid. Another rookie, Guss Scott is also on the IR but could see time when he returns. P: Josh Miller MUST be an improvement over last year. Has a career 42.9 Av. but had 27 punts in the 20 and 9 in the 10 last year(out of 84 punts total). K: Adam Vinatieri. CLUTCH...nuff said. Had an off year last season but should rebound in fine form.

Madison(first) vs Woodson(second) 2003: 50 tackles, 0 sacks, 3 INT, 0 FF 2003: 70 tackles, 1 sack, 3 INT, 1 FF 2002: 34 tackles, 0 sacks, 3 INT, 1 FF 2002: 37 tackles, 0 sacks, 1 INT, 4 FF 2001: 25 tackles, 0 sacks, 2 INT, 0 FF 2001: 53 tackles, 2 sacks, 1 INT, 1 FF 2000: 39 tackles, 0 sacks, 5 INT, 2 FF 2000: 79 tackles, 0 sacks, 4 INT, 3 FF Verdict: Woodson is clearly the better player. While Madison has more INTs Woodson tends to get more tackles and cause more fumbles. Also can contribute with sacks as well.

#4 Stanford (Bored) vs. Boston College (HarleyQuinn) Differing Picks Stan: Utah, TCU, California, Mississippi State, Colorado State, Purdue, Washington, Louisiana Tech, South Florida BC: Texas A&M, Northwestern, Air Force, Tulane, Colorado, Syracuse, Fresno State, Nevada, Pittsburgh Tiebreaker Answers: 273/284 Damn...I need Syracuse, Fresno St., Nevada AND Pittsburgh to all win if I even want a chance to win this week.

Do you want a win now or win later approach? I'm assuming it's a 3 year keeper league(keep guys for 3 years) Win Now = Cut Manning. Garcia I expect to be a Top 15 QB this season even with a shoddy O-Line. The NYG O-Line is far worse and with less weapons around Eli. Win Later = Cut Garcia. Manning will be starting by season's end or next season so you'll have 2 seasons' worth to coup value. Hilliard and Toomer are solid producers and Barber is always a dangerous threat as well as a healthy Shockey(keyword being HEALTHY).

Welp...3 Run HR by Millar makes it 12-5 BoSox in the bottom of the 6th.

The Dodgers called up C Tom Wilson who's fairly interesting IMO. Hit .325/.455/.563 in 23 games in AAA. He had 26 H in 80 AB with 9 being for extra bases. Also had a 19 vs 23 BB/K rate.

We know the big picture and we don't take for granted that as a city we suck. In fact we've been up among the better cities amongst titles won in all four sports. Boston has had dynasties in the NBA(1980's Celtics), NHL(The Bobby Orr era) and the NFL(The current 2000's era). Boston has ALWAYS been a baseball city. Ever since the early 1900's baseball has been the big thing in Boston and the fact that the Sox haven't won a WS since 1918(despite getting there over the years) only fuels the passion that Boston fans have for the Red Sox. We acknowledge when our other teams are doing great but nothing can compare to the Sox.

I DEMAND a trade(off-season) to Montreal. I was hitting well in that SFBL cup, then your file went kaput and I came back only to see Flik leave and me suck ass, lol.

The Cubbies also have a few options in AAA if they want to call up somebody to help bolster the bullpen. Mike Wuertz: 2.72 ERA in 33 appearances. 53 K vs 15 BB and has allowed 13 runs(12 of them earned). He's given up 4 HR and 29 hits in 39.2 IP. Kevin Tolar: 3.62 ERA in 48 appearances. 71 K vs 38 BB and has allowed 30 runs(22 of them earned). He's given up 2 HR and 53 hits in 54.2 IP. Will Ohman: 4.07 ERA in 41 appearances. 68 K vs 25 BB and has allowed 25 runs(22 of them earned). He's given up 5 HR and 51 hits in 48.2 IP. They also could always call up Sergio Mitre and use him in the bullpen as a long relief guy.
