Well one's gotta wonder then because in college pitchers can easily go 115+ in most games that they start which shows that they may still have resiliency as you said DT. Although since they're so young, it probably makes them more susceptible to arm injuries once they reach the majors.

I'm staying away from the Raiders RB's until the season starts. Anyways, this was in Boston.com with a myriad of other tidbits. "The Raiders believe Troy Hambrick, Dallas's leading rusher last year, can be effective running behind Gallery and the rest of Oakland's retooled line if Hambrick learns to lower his pads and finish runs better. The Raiders also like the open-field running of Amos Zereoue, another free agent pickup" At this point it's a bigger clusterfuck then the Denver situation is IMO.

An interesting way of looking at your team would be to take your players and divide their fantasy points by the number of games they played to see what their average would be if you started them. QB's Jake Plummer: 16.34 PPG(11) Trent Green: 16.99 PPG(16) RB's Shaun Alexander: 16.31 PPG(16) Kevin Jones: Rookie Quentin Griffin: 3.46 PPG(10) WR's Joey Porter: 4.11 PPG(10) Jimmy Smith: 8.54 PPG(12) Bethel Johnson: 5.34 PPG(15) **EDIT: Picked up Bobby Engram(Seattle's #3 and 7.03 PPG) and put Johnson in the FA market. Engram had 6 TD catches last year and 600+ receiving yards while also looking to be the team's punt returner. Looks to be more productive for me then Johnson.** TE's Dallas Clark: 4.00 PPG(10) Jim Kleinsasser: 4.10 PPG(16) K's Jason Elam: 8.31 PPG(16) DEF's Atlanta: 14.26 PPG(16) Detroit: 15.38 PPG(16) - Looking at this, Green and Plummer both look like solid QB choices. Alexander's a stud RB. My WR's = big concern though as I originally thought, aside from Smith who could get his PPG up to 10 or so if he stays healthy. Defenses both look very solid and Elam looks to be a good bet for anywhere from 6-10 points any given week.

I'm hoping to get a call later this evening if my EB managed to get it early but I'm expecting to pick it up tomorrow.

I don't know if pitch counts necessarily work because if you look back at the early 1900's and such with guys like Cy Young, Walter Johnson and Christy Mathewson they'd throw such a large amount of innings with very little days rest. Add in the fact that they probably weren't in as good a shape as the men on the field today and I think it becomes questionable. I do think that a lot of pitchers today could handle 2/3rds of the IP of those guys with 3 days rest in between but with the influx of relievers it's made the starting pitchers basically "effective" in a coaches mind for 6-8 IP max with the rare full game starter out there. I also think that the 5 days rest between games may have something to do with the lack of health to pitchers because that's a long time to wait in between throwing 90-100+ pitches in a game.

Another solid week of smacking the ball as my power continues to stay steady. Now at 12 HR's and my base running abilities haven't diminished at all which is nice to see(15 SB's, whoo). Too bad we just suck, suck, suck! as a team though.

I thought Chris Canty was a fabulous selection for the Patriots in the 1997 Draft, ugh.

I'd join the auction league

I'd put Marshall Faulk up there as the best at the moment. Has had 5 80+ catch seasons from 1998-2002 and hit the 1,000+ yard mark in 1999. Also had 908 yards in 1998 and 830 in 2000.

The biggest question in Oakland really is who will be the starting RB. You not only have Wheatley in the running(who looks to be the best bet at the moment) but you also have Justin Fargas, Amos Zereou and Troy Hambrick looking to land the starting role in Oakland and at the very least, the #2(maybe even #3 RB) will be stealing some carries from Wheatley or whomever is named the starter.

148 130 127 122 120 119 119 118 117 113 111 111 106 104 103 86 Out of those numbers, the range is only 62 points. The range from #1 to #2 is 18 points and the range from #15 to #16 is 17 points. The range from #2 to #15 is only 27 points. The median is 118 points(117.5) with as many as 7 teams coming with-in 5 points of that mark. The mean is 116 points(115.8) which shows that this league should be highly competitive and a damn close race in the end with only a handful of points separating teams from the top or the bottom.

My Lineup QB: Trent Green RB's: Shaun Alexander, Kevin Jones WR's: Jimmy Smith, Jerry Porter TE's: Dallas Clark WR/TE: Bethel Johnson K: Jason Elam DEF: Atlanta Falcons, Indianapolis Colts Bench QB: Jake Plummer RB's: Quentin Griffin TE's: Jim Kleinsasser - Will Jimmy Smith stay healthy throughout the season and be the favored target of Byron Leftwich? - Will Jerry Porter beat Jerry Rice or Tim Brown to be the opposite #2 starter on the team? - Will Quentin Griffin get the starting RB role as hinted by Shanahan and will he be able to keep it? - Will Bethel Johnson get a greater role in the Patriots receiving corps as well as returning kickoffs and punts in place of Troy Brown? Quite a few questions that I hope get answered through training camp and pre-season.

Here's a hands-on preview from Game Informer, pretty in depth look. In Depth look from Game Informer

The IGN Review of ESPN NFL 2k5 I can't wait, got a 9.4 rating too

Figured I'd let everybody know that http://www.ign.com will be posting a comprehensive review of ESPN NFL 2K5 sometime today so be on the lookout for it.

Upon reading the transcript, they never really encouraged him or urged him on(In fact there was one person who was adamantly telling him to don't go overboard) and the guy was basically asking to OD as he kept taking shit and boasted about how much he had taken.

I'll vote for the London vs Dragon 2/3 Falls

Game Pro Review of NFL 2K5 Gave it a 5/5 "The Push Up-Front" This game has championship season written all over it. There's even a nice signing bonus to entice you into the 2K camp---the $19.99 price tag. ESPN NFL 2K5 could...go...all...the...way. ---something Buzz From the review

Apparently Game Informer has given the edge to ESPN(Though it said the gameplay was close but that Madden's "hit stick" beat out ESPN's "maximum tackle" so take that for whatever it's worth). However GI said that the graphics, presentation, online play, etc. was better in ESPN and especially for the $20 price tag.
