What is the funniest TV show ever?

I have to agree with Tigger. Though I like many shows, Mr. Show is the only one that's made me crack up consistently.
  3. First issue: And it's all moot. How good of an amateur you are means jack, since the amateur ranks and the WWE are two completely different things, since you know, they aren't actually wrestling in there. Second issue: Ridiculous. The WWE was DEAD SET on giving Brock the God push, Austin or no Austin. So much, that they were willing to sacrifice Stone Cold to Brock, triggering the walk out in the first place. Third issue: How has Brock not converted? Someone not converting from one arena to another would be someone like Ken Shamrock, who never ended up fitting in. Brock has been able to get passable stuff from Undertaker and Big Show of all people, including holding his own and having great matches with Angle and Rock. He has charisma and a presence in the ring. And while still relatively green, like I said, he displays that he knows what he's doing. I may have felt at one point that Brock didn't deserve it, due to having little heat in contrast to his huge push last summer, he's since taken the ball and ran with it, proving himself in spades. Also while I still dislike Brock to some extent, most notably some of his nuances in the ring, I can't deny that he hasn't pulled his weight at least.

    Bane & Seven from OVW

And that's when he cleaned himself up, went back to school and became the founder of TomCo that we all know today.

    Bane & Seven from OVW

No. I'd imagine JR would be just like your average citizen from the '50s, where he thinks Fertig's behaviour is him "acting up." As JR prepares to take a switch to Fertig, Tomko saves him and explains to JR about Fertig's problems in a touching moment.

    Funny site...

I've been well aware of this site for a while now. In fact, I had this screen... from the Pro Wrestling profile as my sig for a short time last year.

    Fantasy Survivor Series Teams

IL, Maddix, Manson, Clark vs. Royal, Korgath, Liston, Viktor. Though Viktor is absent... isn't he? As compared to a few months ago when everyone was a heel. Then I came back as a face and Spike had the same idea, but then that's when the slow period hit, with others leaving but no one joining.

    Crash Holly passes away

RIP Crash. Though he pretty much had nothing to do in WWE up to the time of his leaving, his super-heavyweight and 24/7 roles were pretty fun... And I thought his TNA role as Mad Mikey was genius.

    News, Rumors, Shit, Stuff, etc,.

I wasn't asking for a MOTY anyway. Just trying to make a distinction between the amount of new guys being pushed, as opposed to the guys still being held down. Ultimo is one of the true few who deserve a push, but are not getting it (though on my list of 20 people who deserve a push, he's #21). Unless he's given a mouthpiece, the amount of time his matches get will mean fuck-all.. Ultimo Dragon is to fast, to small, kicks look to fake, and needs to tone down his style, etc [/The Office] I love how the claims are that "Ultimo's offense is too unrealistic," thus he's relegated to Velocity and dark matches. Meanwhile WWE has Zach Gowen wrestling, whose offense is comically unrealistic, moreso than Ultimo, and he gets more airtime and storylines than Ultimo while Ultimo is just as over. Anyway... Unless I'm forgetting something, London has been on SmackDown all of two times, once while getting squashed by Brock Lesnar, before being saved by Spanky and making appearances on Velocity right after. ...The second time was playing video games with Orlando Jordan. Yes, they wrestle on Velocity, but who watches that? Literally no one, so what chance do they have to get over then?

    Horshu

He's one of the greatest wrestlers to come down the pike in a long, long time. Technical expertise, power, ring presence, mic skills and charisma. You name it... He'll absolutely blow your mind. And you're not even in on the ground floor, buddy. His haircut is also in the shape of a horseshoe. LOL!

    Whatever happened to...

He changed his name to Marshall, stuck around for a while then disappeared. On DJ Jeff, while visiting the forums of one of those shitty wrestling sites one day (prowrestling.com maybe), I came across him, except now he was Amy Lee's #1 Fan.
  16. mole, are you on drugs? That was terrible. And Triple-Juice wasn't? Anyway, give it a rest Mole. Neither name was funny the first time around, and they aren't funny now.
  17. About the only member of Evolution that entertains me on a consistent basis is Flair. HHH is iffy. I'm indifferent to Orton. Batista just stinks, and I tend to turn the channel whenever he's on. Whoever said it is right though. I'd much rather prefer HHH as champ over Goldberg.

    Question about the "high-flying" style

Spotty wrestler - Copious amounts of high spots and flipiddy-dos, with nothing in the way of psychology, transition or basics in-between. Lack of selling at most points. Unrealistic, in that these moves being performed should be finishing you off in normal cases, but they don't... And these seemingly finisher-level moves are being hit multiple times per. Not to mention a lot of the moves, you really have to suspend belief, more than you normally would anyway. All flash and show without substance. Ex: Red. High-Flyer - One who does the above, but knows how to make their high points worth more by adding in stuff with an actual point, like your basic psychology. Ex: Mysterio, when allowed to. Lucha - To be honest, I consider this wrestler just the same as a 'high-flyer,' except more region specific. Comparable balances of substance and flying, so that the latter means much more.

Ghost Stories and other spooky stuff

Sure, I'll bite. I'll post a story about what I know, that being Denver's Cheesman Park. It's said to be haunted, or if not that, there's simply a general feeling of despair and sadness. Although I think ghost stories and hauntings are bunk, the dreary atmosphere of the park seems somewhat accurate from my visits there. For the full story. For the abridged version, one of the founders of the city set aside land for a cemetary. Things were going fine for a while, before it fell into a state of disrepair for the most part, as it was being used exclusively for transients, criminals and such. Also, two new cemetaries were taking away any business. This cemetary was renamed, and began passing from owner to owner until it fell into the hands of Denver itself. With the cemetary now an eyesore, and surrounded by a growing Denver, plans were created to make it into a park. Friends, family and otherwise were given 90 days to move the bodies. While the mayor at the time was away on business, bills were rapidly passed and the contract for moving the unclaimed bodies into other cemetaries was picked up. However, being greedy since for every body he was paid a certain amount of money, the undertaker who picked up the contract deemed that the bodies be packed into caskets that were much too small. Bodies not yet deteriorated into only bones were broken apart, with body parts of the deceased being mixed and matched with others. In addition, many of the staff were robbing the coffins of any valuables. With body parts strewn about and reports of lost souls knocking on the doors of and appearing in the homes of the surrounding neighborhood, the public became angry and the whole thing became a giant scandal. The mayor returned and an investigation was launched. With the entire thing being a black eye and considered unsalvageable at this point, the plans to erect the current Cheesman Park proceeded. Except that any remaining graves or body parts were left where they were, and the park was built on top of them.

    WWE signs Kenzo Suzuki

Re: Yang I believe he's of Chinese descent, but was born in the US, either California or Georgia, from what I've read. But it's not like the WW(F)E hasn't done anything this before, passing off a reasonable likeness as someone from another culture. Yokozuna anyone?

    SJL Crimson October 30th

I made some relatively big changes to mine also, so hopefully you got them.
  24. Test was injured. He was at a disadvantage, and even then it's not like Shane was dominating. Normally I'd agree with the sentiment, but ehh. If I were to go after anything, it'd be Shane being too heelish, ripping off the Van Terminator again or that horrible promo of his, not helped by the delay of Kane coming out, which just killed the crowd.
