They should be thankful.

Rasputin. John Wayne. Genghis Khan. Vlad the Impaler.

Stop this. Stop naming wrestlers. Andre and Ric Flair are two of the very few exceptions to this. Especially Japanese ones. Unless it's Chono, Misawa, Liger, etc., at least half of this board doesn't know or care, so what's the point. Sweatpants, ripped up Gold's Gym shirts and fanny packs are not cool. Fuck.

That's not very nice.

Yes. A month of Miyazaki movies. If anyone hasn't seen them, give them a chance.

Err, I see what you are saying. But it could go both ways. Doubtful. How is that obvious?

Ash also did the retarded anime smileys. As well as the Kirby stuff. All smileys should be outlawed.

Thursday at 11 isn't really much of a step down, if any. Saturdays haven't been good for TV for a long time. With the audience Spike is trying to attract, they're more liable to be home on Thursday rather than Saturday, right? And they have the Ultimate Fighter lead-in.

As long as he isn't back with the Jersey grease monkey character or whatever the fuck he was supposed to be in his last stint, I welcome this.

I have to admit that I have a different frame of mind on this issue. In fact, I always found it easier to write a commentator when I'm not trying to make them fit into some kind of "personality," and just write them in whatever manner I think will help my match get over better... I've always found knowing something about the character's personality to be a handicap, since I then feel compelled to try and be "true" to that character... which I completely suck at; the only character besides WC that I was ever really able to write effectively is Ejiro, and I was bumped way before he became a JL commentator, so I didn't even have the opportunity to do so in a match. Hell, a big part of why I never promo is because I suck so bad at capturing other characters' personalities... so I usually don't bother. I am reminded of a comment that I believe has, at various points in time, been attributed to both King and Flesher: "the ladder is exactly as long, the cage is exactly as high, the ring is exactly as wide as it needs to be for your spot to work," or something to that effect. I think that it might be good advice to apply that principle to the commentary team, too: The commentator should just as animated, just as subdued, just as biased, just as balanced, just as comical, just as serious as he/she needs to be to put your match over. At least, that's what I try to live by... - Dub Cee Well, I'm not suggesting he or any character had to abide by a certain profile or stereotype all the time, or that every character has to be lively and colorful. The guy just had zero personality characteristics to play off of and serve as a jumping point beyond being big and Australian, as far as I knew. He barely qualified for basic traits. I think there has to be something else already there in order to write someone.

The long ass delay didn't help either. The latest episode was boring. The fights were good, but they did such a good job with Question/Huntress and Green Arrow/Canary that I just don't care about either of them unless Question and Arrow are involved.

Comet or Polack. There's a lot of fresh material there with Ted. The way I would play it off is that he was host of the weekly internet radio show and was promoted. Simple. While Edwin/King would indeed be awesome, the circumstances surrounding his leaving aren't conducive to coming back for a lowly announcer position. Frost. Maybe. Never did like writing Annie or Axis. I'm awful at commentary either way, but Axis in the JL was bland and boring for myself and a lot others, though it didn't help that us newbies were coming in cold with no idea how to write him beyond 'face announcer.' No to Madrac, Riley, Myers, Hardy, just because I don't ever want to see Hardy getting promoted or leaving the backstage.

I'll give you an error!

Are we currently witnessing the complete and total decay of society?

It's just ribbing! It occurs everywhere. If they're physically abusing them or doing stuff that's way out of line, that's one thing, but really, the Dicks should get over it. Causing them to force physicl force on each other is not ribbing. The wrestlers should be punished IMO. Forced? No one held a gun to their heads and told them to fight.

Due to a combination of forgetfulness, writer's block and a shitty connection which keeps dropping out and won't allow me to finish my damn torrents, much less stay connected every time I click a damn link, I'm the one that didn't get anything in for the damn Shackle Match. In short, I'm the one that fucked up. Sorry, Drea. Please accept this goodwill yak.

I like the idea of designing the site just like a real federation's would be. Panda and HOLT Reports, Thoth Reports, previews and summarized show results, all of it could link back to the corresponding threads here. In the case of a wrestler's bio, to their post in the stats thread. Also, remember when Card/Va'aiga used to do that mock merchandise stuff? Toys, shirts, etc. It could be fun if we were to go back to that for the site with a faux Shop section. In regards to pic bases, there's also that Poser program as an option, but the pictures that result are more than a little creepy, there are limited clothing and design options, I believe, and after trying it a few years ago, it takes some effort to get the hang of it.

We had a website? Yeah, I think the broken features, lack of updates and whatnot didn't help. It's like, why bother if no one else is going to. There was also a lack of response serious or otherwise from people who are actually competent, although I could be mistaken, did anyone join in the past year through the site and stick around after? I don't even know if we're still a part of that interfed, the reason rushed to put the site up in the first place, so that shows how much I know, but that's part of a bigger recurring question of advertisement. I still think we need a site in order to appeal to those we're trying to lure in, but the concept is also flawed as far as we go. Updating stats here and there could be seen as a bother and not worth doing or remembering, so what's to keep us visiting the site past the initial couple weeks when we could readily get the same things here? There has to be something unique about the page beyond a fancy entry system for stats.

Nice. lolOLOLOLool. Retard. What? Yes, I'm sure. Weren't there supposed to be other MITB Qualifiers?

Lawler has been a heel all this time? Could have fooled me.
