From me to you, Popick... Enjoy.

Can we not jump to conclusions about how we'll magically revert back to pre-2001... Not for nothing, but the World Wildlife Fund was ALREADY known as the World Wide Fund for Nature worldwide, when litigation over the initials was held. The courts didn't exactly care for this fact then. Then, even while working as the World Wide Fund for Nature, they kept using the WWF initials, and were simultaneously going by WWFN/WWFFN and WWF. I honestly don't see this changing, despite the "official" change to WWFFN.

To be fair, the GC is sturdy as hell, like most of Nintendo's stuff. Their products are like cockroaches. Anyway. as long as you don't crack the casing, and make sure you secure it with bolts, it shouldn't be a problem. Also, just to make sure, put the heaviest thing on the bottom, in this case the XBox.

That's actually not a bad idea. If you need to, screw a middle shelf in there, or something.

Late night talk show shakeup coming..
Golgo 13 replied to MarvinisaLunatic's topic in Television & Film
I like Quinn, but he would be a horrible host. He absolutely cannot do anything scripted, and would stumble and stutter his way into an early firing. As for Tough Crowd, Quinn does not make that show, the guests do... -
True Life: I'm a Professional Wrestler
Golgo 13 replied to Phoenix Fury Legdrop's topic in Television & Film
Aside from the more eclectic music selection, MTV2 is becoming another MTV, with shows having nothing to do with music, like anime and old MTV reruns. -
The poor child will be crucified.

Meh. There's no point in moving it.

Yeah. They know kung fu.

True Life: I'm a Professional Wrestler
Golgo 13 replied to Phoenix Fury Legdrop's topic in Television & Film
Yeah. It's old, but still interesting to look back on. A lot of the True Lifes are good, if only to laugh at the people involved. -
That one off Hooper episode was the pilot. It should be back in a few months. It's the same thing they did with Venture Bros.

There's a BIG difference in 1996 Austin and John Bradshaw Layfield I'm just using the comparison because Austin was a midcarder/tag team wrestler in WCW and then when he got to the WWE was basically a lower midcarder as The Ringmaster, but people gave him a chance. But again, WWE gave Austin actual time to get Stone Cold over before putting him in position to the top guy. It's not comparable to JBL who WWE thrusted into the ME scene.
-
And how long was it from the debut of Stone Cold until him winning the belt? Maybe WWE should've given this lifelong midcarder and his new character a chance to get over, maybe more than a fucking month, before handing him the brand's top belt. Furthermore, it's not as if his character has displayed any capacity for deserving the belt since his reign has been built on lucky breaks, run-ins and shitty comedy segments. The first two are deserving of a heel, I know, but it's not as if he has the appearance of a "real" champion regardless. If people don't care about the feud, the build, and the wrestlers, how can they be expected to care for the ultimate confrontation.

I think all the complaining about the crowd is completely misplaced, and when you have people saying Toronto didn't deserve the show, is bad for business, etc, you're utterly wrong. If they were bad for business, they wouldn't have filled up the arena. Simply put, they paid their money, and they have a right to react to the show, matches or wrestlers how they want, minus causing physical harm. So the fans didn't react to JBL v. Taker. Taker has rarely been on the shows leading up to the PPV, while his return to the Phenom as a whole has been a flop, with again, very rare appearances. Meanwhile JBL will forever be seen as midcard and not worthy of carrying the brand's top title in some eyes. How is anyone supposed to take him seriously and get into the match as a result? The build to the match sucked, sucked, sucked. So they booed Eugene. He has a completely retarded (pardon the pun) and cheap character, simple as that. You may not agree, but again, just as they have the right to boo Eugene, you have the right to cheer him. So they didn't cheer Eddie. Again, tough shit. They simply liked Kurt MORE. So they didn't cheer Edge. While it was a surprising reaction to me, Edge's return can arguably be called a flop. Edge now is completely bland. Anyway, if you were given the heels going over to start the show (with the exception of RVD/Dupree), a bad soap opera feud, Diva Dodgeball, and Taker/Bradshaw, wouldn't you have a sour taste in your mouth? Altogether, the build to SS was the shits, with the exception of Eugene/Triple H. Finally, directed to those who regretted buying the PPV based on the crowd "bringing you down" or some bullshit like that. While the atmosphere adds to a match, it doesn't necessarily detract from it if the wrestling, in your opinion, is good. Don't let a bad reaction shake you from liking or disliking a match.

Let's not bicker. This is a time to honor Inc's memory.

Cole has improved by leaps and bounds in the past couple years, since he began working with Tazz. They work well together and he's now tolerable, at least when working with Tazz. No offense, but this list is horrible. Dusty Rhodes is a complete abomination. On the Worst list, where's Todd Pettingill? Sean Mooney? Lita? Mongo McMichaels? David Crockett? Rob Bartlett?

Kill him with one of the tools the construction workers use and dump his body in the 30 year old's yard.

It's quite a shame. We hardly knew him.

Man. It's not even worth having one of these systems if you don't have a TV to play it on.

As opposed to the usual?

It's Florida. Along with a lot of the south, it shouldn't count.

I thought the third prophecy was the attempt on his life?

Quitter. He only had 300 pounds to go.

From a few days ago on IGN, here's WWE SmackDown! Vs. Raw: Hands On Meh. I still don't see the point of the two Kanes/Undertakers, and the face/heel mechanic sounds useless and restricting.
