    Veg*n-ism.

As much as I hate to agree with PETA (their cause is worthy but their tactics are not) the milk thing is true. It's not natural for any species to drink the milk of another regardless of if they're carnivores, herbivores or omnivores. Cows have four stomachs in order to fully digest what they consume.. we have one. That's why there are so many lactose intolerant (myself included) people out there. The calcium argument holds no ground either.. you can get it from so many other sources. Plus I think our problem here in North America is TOO MUCH calcium, which can actually cause osteoperosis in the end. As for the whole topic of this thread - I was a strict vegetarian for 10 years. Health reasons.. I was overweight and "converted" in order to lose the weight. I stuck with it for many years after but about a year and a half ago I slowly weened myself back onto meat. I eat organic meat now. Steak, fish, chicken, etc. (I would never touch pork to begin with just because it grosses me out.. don't really like the taste.) But I have to say that there is a place for vegetarian meals and whatnot in my meal plan, that's for sure. Anyone who says that a vegetarian meal is boring and lifeless is probably just being ignorant and has never really had something vegetarian other than a Garden Salad. Finally, as for the tofu thing. I think it's hit or miss. Usually when it tries to mimic a meat substance it's not too great.. but when cooked in a traditional sense.. ie: in most Asian cooking, it's VERY tasty. I don't see how anyone could not like Mushu Tofu (shredded tofu, mushrooms and hoisin sauce wrapped in Chinese pancakes) ...so good!
  2. It was really annoying watching the Warrior interview. Not for what he was saying, but just because he was obviously on a time delay of a few seconds and the hosts would ask him something - then he'd listen - but wouldn't answer right away so the hosts would just interrupt when he did try to answer.
  3. Does he even still wrestle? I thought he was a highschool teacher now, or something. WWE.com just did a Where Are They Now? article on him.

WWE General Discussion for July 2007

The WWE would have fallen in size anyway. After a few of the early patches, TEW was tweaked to make it harder for a promotion to achieve and maintain growth. I've had a few crazy things happen too; Ricky Morton retired and died on the same day at one point. is there an EWR type thread on this board anywhere by chance There is in the Video Games section. Just do a search and it should pop up. i could not find one, if there is an active one could i have a link otherwise i might start one up Here is the biggest thread for EWR 4.x: http://forums.thesmartmarks.com/index.php?...extreme+warfare And a few other smaller threads: http://forums.thesmartmarks.com/index.php?...extreme+warfare http://forums.thesmartmarks.com/index.php?...extreme+warfare http://forums.thesmartmarks.com/index.php?...extreme+warfare It's one of those quirks of the board where you can't do a search for any string that's under four characters. So EWR turns nothing up, but Extreme Warfare Revenge does.
  5. I'd aim that stereotype at casual fans - as I myself would rather watch a Steve Corino or a CW Anderson anyday over Bobby Lashley or Batista. While I'm positive that the casual fans and their money influence what Vince pushes in some effect.. we all know that what Vince wants to get pushed, gets pushed, even if the fans DON'T like it.

WWE General Discussion for July 2007

Technically this can be considered general wrestling now, but what the hell, from Gerweck:
  9. Hogan on the case... http://usmagazine.com/hulk_hogan_talks_to_...killer_wrestler Dunno if it's been posted, but he talks about how Nancy was into devil worship and how she got too close to her character from the Sullivan days... *sigh*
  10. This is quite a leap to make without really actually knowing anything about the Benoit family home/situation previously. Somewhat ironic her name is Rambo though. Nevemind even knowing anything about wrestling either - where one of the main objectives aside from entertaining the fans is to protect your opponent. She strikes me as the kind of person who would say that he was paid to be violent in one sentence.. but then turn around and make fun of wrestling for being fake.

    HD DVD/Blu-Ray

Better clarity? So the lesson here is if it's available in both formats - and if you're someone who plans to get the combo player from Samsung - then get the Blu Ray version of the movie? Also - I've seen a lot of DVD/HDDVD combo discs lately.. and I've bought a few. Does Blu Ray do the same sort of thing? I think it's a great idea and really gets me invested into the idea of switching to a high def player down the road if I have all of these high def dvds laying around.

For those that held up on Kill Bill....

Awesome! I'm psyched for this. Count me in the group that wasn't a huge fan of the second movie - but loved the first. I'm defintiely interested in seeing it how it was meant to be cut, or uncut for that matter.
  13. Did SOH actually lose his eye though? I'd heard he had a really bad break in his orbital bone and has bad vision out of that eye now. That's as far as I've heard, so maybe he did eventually lose it to surgery or something.
  14. What timing for Rey, if it's him mentioned in the documents... http://www.wwe.com/content/media/touts/feature/29062/4884780
  15. Sorry if this has been asked: but has Konnan been released? I know he is scheduled for his kidney replacement.. but I just saw him on Nancy Grace and he said "the company that I WAS with at the time, TNA, wouldn't pay for it" with it being his hip replacement a while back. EDIT: Ahh, found it a few pages back. That's too bad, he really was a good mouthpiece of LAX. I can understand his frustration though.
  16. Has it only been a little over a week since this all broke out? This isn't the biggest thread @ TSM, but it certainly has to be one of the fastest growers, that's for damn sure...
  17. If you want to sell the dvd, i say wait another week or two because this will still be on everyone's mine maybe even more so than it is now, so people buying the dvds may pay more in another week or so. So, a while back it was distasteful, but now it's okay to start making money off of this incident?
  18. Best zombie comic. Ever.

    IGF Results...

Add to that that that title isn't even recognized as the IWGP belt anymore. NJPW has gone back to the Crown title and Yuji Nagata currently holds that (soon to be taken by Togi Makabe, I hope )!
  20. Jesus Christ it's painful to watch/listen to Meltzer "talk"... No, because before all this happened, he was a decent human being. Unforgiving people don't understand there are things in this world that can damage your brain and make you do sick, crazy things, even though you were basically a good person. Because he took a picture with you once you know he was a decent human being? You don't know the first thing about what kind of guy Benoit was. I don't care what all the other wrestlers say about him. Like I've said, when do you ever hear people say bad things about serial killers? It's nothing but "Oh I can't believe he'd ever do this, he was such a mild-mannered guy, he loved everyone. This is totally unlike the person I knew." Get a fuckin' clue, dumbass. All the time. You're just picking out the cliche of "it's always the quiet ones you least suspect." Watch some A&E sometime... WRONG. In order for it to be an IWGP championship match it'd have to be sanctioned by NJPW. That match wasnt. In fact. That belt is the one Lesnar stole and Inoki's IGF is calling it the "IWGP 3rd Belt" - a copyright infringement, btw - the current IWGP champion is Yuji Nagata. Reefs?

    Manhunt 2 Receives AO Rating

Pretty good blog entry from IGN... http://blogs.ign.com/matt-ign Very well put, IMO.
  24. Okay, I've finally seen Debra give her interviews and I gotta say I side with her on this whole thing. I don't see how she's pushing her own agenda. She seems very sincere in what she's saying. Most people who want to push their own hidden agenda would be a little more over the top and loud (for lack of a better term) about what they're speaking on. She doesn't seem like the regular group who are harping on WWE for no apparent reason, rather she's got some pretty good reasons to be coming out of the woodwork and speaking up on this kind of thing. ...and for the record, it looks like a lot of you in this thread are misquoting her and getting all pissed off at your own misquotation. Where she talks about if she had've spoken up earlier that Nancy would be alive. She doesn't say it as a definite. She says MAYBE she COULD have saved her. EDIT: ..and in no way does this mean I support the argument that Roid Rage was the deciding factor in what caused this tragedy. I'm just saying that I can see where she's coming from and I can see why she feels the need to speak up now that something like this has happened.
  25. Puroresupower.com is the only site that I can find mention on.
