Andre/Hogan pt. II in Detroit, 20 years later. Andre is dead and we've seen Show and Hogan fight TONS of times in the past. It's not like Andre and Hogan had a series of matches before WM III, they only had like one match prior to that didn't they? As a concept it's completely retarded. In reality, it's still completely retarded. Leave it up to WWE.
-
What is their big fucking hype behind Hogan vs Show? It's not like we've never seen that match before in the past.
-
Sorry dude, no bitch is worth not swearing over. I'd say, "I'm Irish. Deal with it."

I liked his schtick on SNL when the Rock hosted. Here's hoping he goes on to a successful acting career.
-
Agreed. I just forgot how in shape he used to be for a guy his size.
-
Just looking at his "career in photos" section, and damn I forgot that he actually used to be in pretty good shape at one point...

Heh, you know a latte is just a cappaucino with less foam and more milk right?

Just because they "can eat all the unhealthy food they want and still look like a million bucks" on the outside, doesn't mean their internal organs aren't suffering and look like shite.

Does it say somehing that the Wii tread has double the postings and views that the PS3 one does?

Considering the amount of placement that Angle's release got on WWE.com, I doubt it's a work. WWE.com has always operated "away" from the head office like this, and they've gotten in shit for it before as well.
-
Is it just me, or did I miss the part where Cornette was given booking power? I thought he was just on-air talent?
-
Heyman needs to show up as Angle's manager. It's cliche, I know, but it'd fucking rule. Admit it.
-
Yeah, this really needed a thread...

Oh Anya, your constant state of denial never ceases to amuse me.

What kind of system update was needed? Is there a website that's detailing whenever you need to download firmware stuff (assuming firmware updates are what you're talking about)?

Chances are that $5 - $8 is nothing for the group of gamers that they're aiming at. I was 8 when the NES was released in 1985. I'm 29 now. Chances are a lot of the people who have a connection with these games (emotional, nostalgia, etc) are my age or older and have steady enough incomes that they can relax about spending this amount on a little piece of their past. People will pay between that for a latte at Starbucks, anyway, and for some people that's every day (or twice a day). Spending $5 - $8 for a VC game once or a few times per month certainly isn't going to break the bank unless you're assuming that every person who uses the VC is going to download every single game available, just because... because, I'll tell you - that ain't going to happen. I have no interest in NES Baseball, so you won't catch me even considering getting that. Now, if Blades of Steel is available....

That's you, though. The target group that Nintendo is aiming at for this kind of stuff is the casual gamer group. Casual gamers don't download roms. Casual gamers, for example, don't get their systems modded and buy import games; or surf the net and constantly keep up to snuff on this sort of thing like we do. Casual gamers (be they retro or new) just want to play for a bit and have fun, and if that means paying $5 for some nostalgia, then they'll do it. Even I don't endorse roms. I don't care about if it's illegal or not, but half the time they're glitchy as hell ...and I'd rather be able to have the option to play these on my television, not my laptop. ADDENDUM: After posting this, I was thinking it would be a cool idea if Nintendo offered a "trade-in" plan where you could send in your old cartridge/disc and you'd get a free download for that or another game of "equal" Wii points value. I would do that for about 99% of my Nintendo game collection - not including games that I'm "really into" since I'd like to keep the originals (ie: Resident Evil on GameCube, No Mercy on N64, etc.) for the sake of collecting.

Maybe it will be revealed at the end of next weeks new episode. The episode itself sounds like complete filler but there could be some cliffhanger leading into the new year.
-
It's true. The entire Bellick arc reeks of lazy and stupid writing, IMHO.

I'm missing something with all of these Metroid-guy references. Someone fill me in/refresh my memory.

Keep in mind that I am not searching for a Wii nor do I plan to buy one for a few months - but it really 'grinds my gears' that we live in the year 2006 (almost 2007) and companies such as Sony and Nintendo still cannot meet demand with supply. It's really ridicuolous if you think about it for a second.

As much as I like the Pang Brother's first and second Eye movies, the third one was awful - this Messengers movie looks like pure unmittigated shite.
