Various info about last night, stolen from Rajahwwf.com who stole it from PWInsider: EDIT: DH beat me to it: http://forums.thesmartmarks.com/index.php?...237150&st=120

If it's really such a necessity, they could probably get the rights to the Motorhead version for a single lump sum, since they already have a working relationship with M-Head. Then again, it all depends on how much of a push Sandman is getting I guess.

Or...

John Cena's bio page on WWE.com also says he's still WWE Champ.. but then again, the staff over there are notorious fuck ups with a reputation of being lazy with updates.

Most definitely Bryan Danielson! Also: Delirious, Matt Sydal, Jimmy Rave w/ Prince Nana & Jade Chung. Not really keen on the Dudleys. Only as heels and only with the rest of the Dudley clan would I accept them.

I hope Ramsay wins.

Correct.

You're being ridiculous with this one. Do you even know the costs associated with licensing original music? 9 times out of 10 you just don't pay one fee and get to use it whenever you want, you have to pay EVERY TIME it's used. See: Hogan, Voodoo Chile.

Somebody explain how this is a 'new' breed. Please. It's a tagline. Not unlike "The Power is Back" or "Anything Can Happen" or "Where the Big Boys Play" - by new breed, they don't necessarily mean the wrestlers alone, they're talking about everything from the style of the company to the wrestlers and how they work to the branding of the 'organization'... Ie: new compared to what's on tv right now..

Damnit. No Velocity up here that I know of. Only Bottom Line. Wait, wasn't Velocity also a net-show? Maybe they'll put up online versions of the show after the fact? Here's hoping...

In my eyes $50 is fine. In my girlfriend's crazy woman eyes she would want to give $100-$400 depending on if they're a friend or family. I have learned, however, that even though $50 seems reasonable, most dinners at catered weddings work out to about $100 a head (especially the multi-course ones), so that's usually what I give.

Yeah, it really came across as one of those popcorn horror movies that you're almost supposed to talk during and make fun of MST3K styles.
-
I thought the death scenes were pretty sweet, but other than that I'm going with the original being the better film. The kid in this one was just way too cute to take his angry face seriously.

It's a good thing we have someone who's the authority on what's sad or not in Ric Flair's life... It would be sad in anyone's life. You have two grown sons and neither one is your best man? Why? Do you know the background on the situation? Are you Flair's personal PR man? Didn't think so. Maybe he didn't want to choose between his two sons so he chose one of the guys that he works with the most. You're so quick to judge, yet you know sweet fuck all about the circumstance which leads me to believe that you should just stifle it. How about that?

I was half hoping for Eugene to drop the gimmick and join ECW in one of those "worked/shoot" moments. As for the songs, I think they would have done so if they weren't trying to ween the older fans away from associating the wrestlers with the music that they can't or won't get licenses for. I should also note that this is the first WWE-related ppv I've watched live since the Rumble where HHH fought Steiner (and that was in the theatre for a much lower price). The concept interested me enough to purchase it and I came away happy with what I paid for.
-
That I 100% agree with. They should just bite the bullet and tape (or broadcast live) the ECW house shows as their TV events.
-
They kind of have to - to start. Hence why they moved more mainstream stars like Angle, Big Show and RVD (yes, like it or not the guy has been in WWE since the Alliance days and is more mainstream than, say Balls Mahoney) over to the new brand, so that mainstream/casual fans can pick up on it and NOT have to know the entire history of ECW. They've said a MILLION times that this is NOT going to be the ECW of old, so I don't know why everyone is getting all up in arms about the cross-over aspect. You're stupid if you thought that Vince would let something he's investing money in (and owns) just fly around of it's own free will under someone elses guidance. It ain't gonna happen. So either stop being so up tight and get over it, or just don't watch.

O/T but I was just going through the links with those vids and came across this: - pretty funny.
-
I have to also say - I'm impressed that Sandman got himself into such good shape. Last year he looked like crap, with the huge beer gut and all. This year, it looks like he completely dropped it. Plus, his new shirt is actually something you could wear without wrestling connotations going along with it to the general public.
-
With Vince Vaughn nonetheless..
-
You're joking right? It had nothing to do with the hold, but rather who was applying it. Angle was the face to the fans. Orton was the heel. Not that complicated, dude.
-
You do realise that they used the remix at WWE/ECW, right? I'm not sure exactly what you mean. My point is they took his old theme, cut out the "du du" and pasted it together. They could have redone it so that it flowed better. He means, "you're just noticing it now?"
-
In the theatre today they ran a video ad for Vengeance claming that .

Cry me a fucking river. Some people thought that ONS was great (I did) and some people didn't. Get over the difference of opinion and just shut the fuck up already.
