EDIT: Okay, after watching it a second time I have to agree with you RedJed. Pile of shit is dead on the money. I'll still copy it but I'm just glad I rented this one first before blindly buying it.

I think the black out is a rear-naked-chokehold, no?

Pick up Zombiez? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Haven't heard of that one. Do tell? I should probably note that if a move isn't one that I NEED to own (Ie: Dawn, Land, Zombi 2, etc), then 9-times-out-of-10 I will rent it and copy it rather than pay $25 for the original.

I find that I'm much more accepting of things like this in the horror genre. I also find, taking that into consideration, that I'm less likely to be upset about bad acting or cheese as it's part and parcel with this kind of thing. Also, I don't mind too much that there is little reference to the first Day movie.. I mean, it doesn't take too much of a stretch of the imagination that this is just another group of peoples' stories who are dealing with the same kind of ourbreak in a different area of the country. *shrug*

Are these all the separate movies just packaged together or is it a boxed set a la the Ultimate F13 collection? -
IWC fans will complain about any-and-everything.. it's pretty much a known fact.
-
From what I've heard, it's more like Ultra. Which is a HUGE plus in my books. My girlfriend picked it up the other day but I haven't had a chance to listen to it yet. They're coming to play TO soon.. and the fucking tickets are $90.. and those aren't even the best seats. Crazy..
-
Nice! LotC, did you see BSS play at Dundas Square a month, or so, ago? Was a great set.
-
I'll buy it.. if only because I buy pretty much every zombie movie that I can get my hands on. Even the excruciatingly bad ones.
-
Land of the muthafuckin' Dead, baby! ...and, next week, Tales from the Crypt Season 2!
-
Well, actually bad acting is quite a known quality of the horror genre. Some of the best horror movies ever made have the worst acting. As for Saw. I agree it isn't a horror movie. I'd loop it in with the suspense/thriller/serial killer quagmire.

WTF? Look at the prizes for this contest: http://www.wwe.com/play/sweepstakes/canada/landofthedead/ I've not heard anything about this game. Can't check any gaming sites from work right now..
-
Agreed. I mean, the thing was knocking down trees for crying out loud. It's either one crazy black fog encased wild boar.. or I don't know what.
-
Oh, me and my crazy retina scans...

Yeah, was looking at a preview of it last night. Didn't look too impressive. Almost seemed rushed, IMO. This game comes out of nowhere. I definitely would've heard about a zombie video game way earlier than this. That said, I saw a trailer for the PS2's City of the Dead (also Romero, 2006) and it looks fucking sweet!

They had a polar bear on a tropical island, they hit the cheese a LONG time ago. But I still love the show. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> The polar bear's can be easily explained by animal experimentation/research. Lots of scientists on the island, apparently. It's not much of a stretch of the imagination that they might have brought some animals with them (Danielle's team) or that the Dharma people have them there for whatever reason (they had a shark with a branded logo on it for crying out loud). I think the one thing that STILL needs to be explained is the black cloud o' doom.

Well if you're talking in 'coulds' then we should be able to mention Styles or Tenay. Anyway, as for JR - what pissed me off about him is that calling a move wrong wasn't an every-once-in-a-while thing anymore. It was way too often. Not only that, how hard is it to get a wrestlers name correct? Seriously. That said, I also hate his voice JUST ABOUT as much as I hate the King's.

I like Tony as a commentator. He's so laughably bad when he's in overhype mode, that it's hilarious to watch/listen to. The novelty does wear thin rather quickly, though.
-
He was like an inverse of the Taker. All white. White hair. White beard. White outfit. He bombed and was sent back to OVW (where, previously he wrestled under the name Seven). I think you can see pics of him at www.ovwrestling.com - either that, or www.obsessedwithwrestling.com

In the comics Aquaman lost his hand when the madman Charybdis stole his ability to communicate with sea life and stuck Arthur's hand in a pool of water teeming with piranhas. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I know, I was going with Justice League cartoon storyline though. I like it better. Sorry, should've mentioned that.

Hey, way to fulfil the stereotype Mike, you ignorant piece of shit.

Laugh. Out. Loud. I don't see the point in posting a thread saying you didn't know the guy when all the posts above pretty much mention what he's done. So seriously, shut up if you have nothing to say. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Hey, bobby, take your own advice before you start dishing it out to others. Maybe then I'll "shut up if I have nothing to say."

When a guy's as clingly as he seems to be.. I'd say yeah. He seems like the kind of EMO loser who pines for a real relationship, but only finds girls who want to have casual sex.

Question: have Locke's father and the Real Sawyer's first names ever been mentioned? I can't recall off the top of my head.
