...Okay then. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I don't get it either. -
I always thought that Kane was a great example of repackaging a wrestler. Two hugely embarassing gimmicks [isaac & Fake Diesel] and then the character Kane. Sure he had to wear a mask, but it worked out in the end when he had to take it off.
-
They could also easily fix Dinsmore by just changing his look. He barely even looks like Eugene here: http://obsessedwithwrestling.com/pictures/...dinsmore/01.jpg Change his hair colour and he'd look even more separated from the Eugene gimmick.

Something tells me that people didn't buy GAB JUST because of the main event.. the entire card was shite.

Why is the Undertaker stuff bolded? Did that go over my head or am I just not fully awake yet?

He'd probably be better off getting the fuck out of WWEland while he can. Sign an open contract with TNA and do acting on the side.

I never caught Silverhawks, actually. Honestly, I was a GI Joe/Transformers kid. Though, looking back, GI Joe was a pretty awful show as well, heh.

livejournal user name "corino" is steve corino's.

Ahh, it's good to see that generalizing and stereotyping an entire country because of their past generations' actions is still alive and well.. and in children. *sigh*

I think he forfeits it. That was the impression I got at least. At which point, the whole point of the contest was nulled. They should've given the restaurant to Ralph as a parting gift, lol. Also, Ramsay kinda gave away that he'd already chosen who'd win early in the last episode. He said something to the effect of "if you could put Ralph's assertiveness into Michael's body, then you'd have the perfect chef." I guess insinuating that Michael was better at everything than Ralph was, except asserting himself.

Am I the only one out there who thinks that Thundercats was a huge pile of poorly animated and horribly written horse shit? I'm not baiting, either. I'm 100% serious. I remember, as a kid, never being that impressed with the show at all. Also, huzzah for Hush, Hush Sweet Charlotte FINALLY coming out on DVD!

My point is that he had credibility with the crowd when he came to Smackdown. They all bought him as a major player, and were like "wow, Benoit's on Smackdown now, I wonder if he's going to be their next champ?" That was because of what HHH did for him. If the booking crew on Smackdown then decides to treat Benoit like shit, job him to Orlando Jordan, and give him appearances on Velocity, then that has nothing to do with what HHH did for him from Wrestlemania through Bad Blood the previous year. Note the cause and effect difference there. Your argument is tantamount to saying that the reason that Orton didn't get over as champ is that Benoit didn't put him over right. Benoit did everything that he could, it was the booking afterward that hurt him. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> But Benoit was treated like shit RIGHT AFTER THE HHH FEUD!!! The only reason people bought him as a contender when he jumped was because they thought he would get a fresh start. His credibility was shot already, they just hoped for a clean slate. It's funny you use Orton as an example, because I wonder who killed Orton's credibility.... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Orton had credibility?

I don't think the point of TCM is to necessarily be scary, but rather horriffic and disturbing. -

I'm being selective and wasn't really paying attention to the Evil Dead stuff. Also, I haven't had my coffee yet. -

Agreed. If Shaun of the Dead beats the original TCM, then people just don't know good horror these days. Edited for less pissyness. -
Just checked out the newest screens at IGN.. damn it's looking sweet.

Oops - meant to say next week. Also: "There will be another version coming out in December. It will have two discs and you can watch all three stories in any order. And we recorded the audience at the Austin première, so you can click a button and hear the crowd. You feel like you were there." This doesn't appeal to me in the slightest. Though, he does say in the end that people can see the movie how it was meant to be seen in terms of violence. So maybe it is a director's cut after all.. *shrug* EDIT: That also reminds me, CG, is Wal-Mart in Canada getting the TNA anthology DVD set? I had seen news about it in terms of American Wal-Marts, but nothing for Canadian ones...

Feh. This doesn't bother me. 9 times out of 10 when I buy these 2-disc SE's I never even watch the second disc. Don't really give much of a shit about behind the scenes featurettes and the like. So, unless the SE is an extra special extended directors cut with more story to it, I'm buying the version that comes out tomorrow next week.

The audience seems to actually enjoy Cena despite how terrible he often is. HHH is also pretty boring on the mic and working, but the crowd turns silent when hes around. But hey, if you like watching the same tired routine over and over than HHH is your guy. Maybe your right, Maybe we were all wrong and its perfect time for another couple years of HHH squashes. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Funny, I haven't noticed that he's boring when he works. Also haven't noticed the silence either. Then again, maybe you're talking about his longer promos. You'd be hard pressed to find a crowd that doesn't go silent for anyone's long promo, unless they're Steve Austin [ie: What chants]. Also. The squashes are fine with me. Personally, I can't stand Edge and would love to see his face planted into the mat with a Pedigree. Over, and over again. Until he's off my TV for good. That goes for Cena as well.
