    WWE begin the releases

To be fair, you don't know the terms of the release. When Molly was released we later found out she asked for it. Same could have happened to Dawn. Why would she want to be employeed by WWE when she is going to have a baby? Only to be back on the road and not be able to take care of it herself? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Exactly. Everyone is shitting on "Vince" for releasing a pregnant woman - one who they'd probably complain about having to watch if she even WERE on tv - when they don't know the facts.

If you notice on the web site, it says that they "came to agreements" on releases with these people. From what I understand, A] They have to pay out the remainder of their contracts, and B] chances are there was also a severance involved.

$10 says he goes straight for Morgan and/or the Duds.

I still don't see him getting the axe, but you never know I guess. If anything useless trogs like Tomko and Grenier had BETTER be on the chopping block, that's for damn sure.

...and we know this because? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I thought I read it somewhere. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> The Observer reported that Lesnar had verbally agreed to go back to the old deal and WWE would look bad in court if they tried to enforce a 10 year no compete clause against a guy who wants to come back and work. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> *nod*

Actually, I was thinking the same thing. If WWE let the public know about these releases too, and then in a couple of weeks Raw is in Philly, the "fired" superstars invade with Paul Heyman and we have ourselves, like you said, a short ECW run. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yeah, because, Maven, Haas & Jindrak were such huge ECW alumni.

Something tells me that if Lesnar is the one crawling back, that he won't be getting that high of a dollar-deal as previously thought.

Their entire roster is HUGE. I'm surprised it didn't happen sooner.

    WWE begin the releases

Feh. The only ones that even remotely surprise me are the Dudleys as they have the name power and the work ethic to be long term wwe mainstays. And maybe Jannetty.. but only because I wanted to see what he could do since I missed his recent televised matches.

I don't get it. They hadn't had anything to do with eachother in ages...
  21. Alright, so I'm bored - sue me. Inspired by the The OaO "Land of the Dead" talkback thread, where people are posting their favourite 'living dead' flick listings. I figured, I haven't seen a 'tourney' for this genre before - and if it happened, I must have completely missed it. ;p Either way, let's get down to brass tacks. Some of the usual suspects will be pre-included [see bottom of this post] - but please nominate up to three zombie/living dead flicks that you have SEEN [not just heard of] that you think should also be in this tournament. It's a holiday weekend up here, so we'll keep this open until Wednesday and then start the brackets. Also, up for debate is the inclusion of such films as: - 28 Days Later... - The Crazies (which, btw - Brad Anderson is remaking this film for 2006) - The Omega Man (I was also going to say The Last Man on Earth as well, but the creatures in that film are explicitly called Vampires, whereas I don't remember them being called anything in Omega Man) All of the above films don't have traditional zombies, but do deal with some zombie type themes - such as viral infections and whatnot. Does anyone have an objection to including any of these in the running for nominations? On to the 12 pre-included flicks... I've seen all of these and think they're all worthy of inclusion. Obviously, all of Romero's films, a few other classics, plus the latest "nextgen" releases in the zombie genre: - Dawn of the Dead [original] - Dawn of the Dead [remake] - Day of the Dead - Dead Alive/Braindead [Peter Jackson] - Land of the Dead - Night of the Living Dead [original] - Night of the Living Dead [remake] - Return of the Living Dead - Return of the Living Dead, Part II - Shaun of the Dead - Undead - Zombi 2/Zombie

You read it wrong, or he wrote it incorrectly, or something.. either way, that's not what he meant.
