I second what Mike said. Also, I don't get why people hate on the rage virus thing.. not once in that movie do they call them "zombies" - it's a completely different genre alltogether.

Nope, this one is 2004. Anyone know if this is playing in Toronto? I can't find info anywhere..

Attention: Land of the Dead pictures are online, here: http://moviesonline.ca/movie-gallery/thumb...?album=1&page=1

Yah dude, you should give it a rental to be sure.. but I would be surprised if you didn't dig it.

Thanks for the response. What about the atmosphere in the game? Scary or not? Definitely. And it changes. Quickly. From impending silence, like something is around any corner, to crazy rushes when you're getting chased down by a hoard of crazy villagers. Hell, even the day time "levels" are creepy.

There are quite a few scares so far.. mind you I'm only onto the second "chapter" so I'm sure there's still lots to come. The combat engine is fucking awesome, that's for sure.

HCTP, by far. I sold my copy of SDvRaw long long ago.. but still have HCTP, go fig.

I fell into it, as well, Matt. I said I was going to wait for the PS2 version.. but after hearing how insanely great this game turned out to be [i honeslty wasn't even excited for it, like I have been for other RE games] I broke down and picked it up the other day. So glad I did.. no one should ever regret having this game. It's so fucking intense.. I have to stop to catch my breath every five minutes!

I found it funny that his vignette was pretty much given the Narcississt treatment.. just like Jindrak.. yet he looks like every other generic musclehead who works for the company right now.

I actually took that as she was telling him to "Go!" as in to stop meddling with the machines and to move on, while the three spirits were interfering with the transmission and saying "Willow Avenue" in order to lure him to them. I assumed that's why there appeared to be a change in the voice. But yeah, wait at least until rental. I didn't hate it, but wished I'd spent my $8.50 elsewhere. Good point, I hadn't thought of that..

That makes sense, but I don't get why the 'evil' spirits would send him to willow avenue. He saved a life, why would they want that? I guess to lead him on so that he'd be easier to lure into a situation where they could have some fun with him and kill him?

Ugh, Kevin Spacey.

Well, they said pretty much right after the first film, that the sequel would be completely original and not be based on a previous movie. That said, the books are a billion times better than any incarnation of the movies.

..and they "release a statement" for shit like this? Who the fuck cares? These idiot celebrities need to get the fuck over themselves.

Feh. Whatever. It was a stupid promise to make. A franchise like Resident Evil shouldn't be console exclusive, anyway. Capcom obviously wasn't making as much money from their deal with Nintendo so they had to rethink their strategy. More power to them, because as someone who owns both a PS2 and a Gamecube I can honestly say that my Cube is a glorified paperweight that's only good at gathering dust. Oh, and by the way, RE:0 and the RE:1 remake are both also Gamecube exclusive, still.

More like "smart-and-actually-wants-to-make-money-Capcom" there buddy.. won't this game require the hardrive thing for the playstation? I mean, i don't know how well those things sold, but I don't think there is a HUGE market of people that own the hardrive, then you have to hope EVERYONE that does will want to play Resident Evil. If the hardrive thingy is necessary, i don't see how taking the time to redevelop it for playstation will be that over the top popular that it will be necessary. Now if they had done it for the x-box, i would understand. Why would it require an HDD for the PS2 when it doesn't for the Gamecube? That's what multiple disc's are for.

Feh.. this game is way too linear in both story AND variety of gameplay.

Very odd, especially since Snipes has a Producer credit on the flick..
