If all goes well I shall be purchasing this within a few hours along with Return of the Living Dead II.
-
That got a good laugh. Yes, the horrible grammar was hilarious.
-
All of your moves, in the end, depend on what order you combine the styles in.

I've heard several people mention they've seen it months beforehand...how did you come to get a hold of it? Toronto Film Fest. I wouldn't really call it a horror movie, per se. It's more in the vein of Seven.. serial killer/suspense type of movie. But it sure does have it's share of guts & gore.
-
That's very odd. I have the tombstone as well, but it does do a medium amount damage.
-
'Saw' it in September [pun intended]. It's simply amazing. Tops Seven in the twisted killer genre, that's for sure.

The Grudge remake is pretty much a shot by shot remake of the original theatricl Ju-on movie. I believe they added some new stuff, though, as well as some tweaks to the story to explain why all of these American's are the focus of a story that takes place in Japan.
-
Seriously, why bother?
-
Cause they are very similiar. Just like Ringu and Ju-On were very similiar. They're both ghost stories, of course they're somewhat similar. Ring/Ringu was about a demonic child, whose ghost reaps it's revenge through a cursed video tape. Ju-on/The Grudge is about two poltergeists who haunt a house and massacre anyone who comes into contact with said house. I'm not talking about visuals, here, either. The look and tone of the original films are miles apart from eachother.
-
Okay, the only similarities I see between the two are the fact that they're Japanese and that they're ghosts. Other than that, Ringu uses a waterlogged female child. Ju-On uses an adult female and a male child, neither of which are waterlogged.

Why does everyone automatically believe this? Has Angle been directly quoted? Is it on tape? Just because some twat like Meltzer says it doesn't make it true.
-
Yes, because we all know that Scott Keith is such an authority on what goes on backstage.

Hey, DH, thanks for the info. I have a ton of DVDs that I want to unload that none of the one-shot used shops won't take off my hands. Now if I could only find a major chain that would do the same with CDs...
-
Woah, dude that sucks. I usually net about $12 per game when I trade them in at the EB around here [Toronto Eaton Centre].
-
Dude that totally sucks. 'Touch of Evil' is one of my all-time favourite films!!
-
Seriously, did you even read the rest of the posts on this page?

FYI for anyone in TORONTO. HMV is giving away 'plaqued' posters [that is, wood-mounted posters] to the first 25 people who show up to purchase the new DVD at the Yonge & Dundas location - 12:01am October 25th.
-
I've only ever seen posters and one GTA: Vice City commercial maybe about three times at best.
-
I agree. I don't see what was wrong with it. An interesting storyline. The controls were simple and to the point. Lots of levels. I'm stumped.
-
Dude, why do you have such a vendetta against this game.. and pretty much any game that Rockstar comes out with? Aside from the usual "I hate their marketing tactics and attitude" line as per usual...
-
Damn, I completely forgot that EA was developing WCW games back in the day. I never actually played that game, though, but something tells me that the partnership with AKI helped EA learn a lot about this kind of genre.

I should be getting my reviewing copy of this from Inside Pulse sometime next week. I hope it kicks ass. I'm a little disappointed that there's no Archangel, but hey, I'm psyched to play as Colossus in a next gen game for once!
-
I just beat it with my second created wrestler. Now to go through again, at a higher difficulty, with TETSUO the IRON MAN! ...and the review is up: I may have scored too generously... but I really do like the game that much, and it has pretty much renewed my faith in the fighting genre - so I think it's well deserved.

When in the World did Ontario become a Western provice? That is an insult to us in the West. Kind of like how the west is an insult to the rest of Canada?
