If that happens, I just pray that it doesn't suck~! I know many years ago a computer company was working on a "zombie" video game and it was looking decent but they were behind on technology and the company folded under before it was finished. It was actually a very survival heavy, get out of the city before you die story. It never got past the early stages though. I still can't figure out why ROCKSTAR doesn't try it since they are good with the city landscapes anyway. Rockstar would kick ass if they picked up a DotD videogame license, I totally agree with that!

*shudder* Freddie Jr. Well, I never saw the first Scooby movie and I won't be seeing this one either. My choices for the next little bit will be Eternal Sunshine, Ladykillers, and Dawn [a few more times, since there's a really cheap theatre nearby with huge screens] - Oh, and I still want to see Starsky and Hutch, I've heard it's pretty funny.

I'm not going to start an arguement here, so please don't take offense 2GOLD. But, "slapstick style" ? C'mon. I know it's a matter of opinion and perception and all that. But this wasn't like Jim Carrey doing Ace Ventura or the Mask. I can see the "dark comedy" comparison, but the some people are describing it, it was tons o' laughs from start to finish - which, IMO, it wasn't. I mean, nevermind the fact that comedy is a staple of the horror genre in the first place... [Friday the 13th, Nightmare on Elm Street, etc, etc] ...but people are acting as if the original had no laughable moments whatsoever, which is 100% wrong. If anything, there were MORE comedic moments in the original than in this one. ...and as for funding, I'm given the impression that to the casual fan this was a great movie. The box office results obviously show this. The group I went to see this with weren't zombie movie fans whatsoever and they all thought it was a great movie. I'm hoping that this shows the executives out there that the zombie genre is worth a resurrection from the pits of crap that it was associated with for years [ie: Michael Jackson's Thriller] and that with a little tweaking [as seen in Dawn 2004] it can be good horror/suspense genre again. Sorry, I tend to get a little ranty on these things... -
Again, this can't come out soon enough!! My lunch hours at work are going to completely disappear when I get my hands on this sucker!

LMAO @ Dawn beating the Passion out this week, huzzah! ;p That said, Ladykillers looks like it's going to be hi-fucking-larious!

Honestly, I was skeptical at first as well. But they've said that there will be zombies in the game. Crazed townfolk will be a nice change up from the usual lot of enemies, IMO. Especially since it's after Umbrella was brought down, so it's almost like an all new scenario..

Click here for artwork previews and more info... Looks fairly faithful to the original. This should kick ass as Niles has done some awesome stuff - I am Legend, 30 Days of Night & Clive Barker's Books of Blood - can't wait!!

On par if anything. Mostly because the blood didn't look like bright red paint this time 'round. -

Luis? His name was Steve... ..and I don't see how anyone can call this a bad movie. It had just as many "stupidity" and "funny" parts as the original did, plus the gore, and just like the original it was FAR from boring. Anyone who thinks that the original is remotely scary is either under 12 years of age, or is just plain old kidding themselves. And don't misconstrue that, I LOVE the original. I'm just saying.. you can't judge any of this on "scariness." I guess it's just a matter of taste, though. Personally, I'm a zombie guy, regardless of whether it's big budget or b-movie, comedy or serious. If it's got zombies, I'm all over it. -
I haven't seen any movies with more than 2 guys in them, but hopefully they fixed that annoying permanent camera zoom out during tag/multi player matches!

I can't believe that no one else here caught the pre-opening screening! Anyways, who's going to see it tonight?! I've got my tix. -
Attitude? You're bloody crazy. That's like saying their ECW Hardcore Revolution game for PSX wasn't painful to play. I didn't mind Anrarchy Rulz for a month or so. Had some modes in there never done before. Honestly, after Acclaim's travesties with that engine [Warzone, Attitude, ECW] I lost pretty much all faith in them. LOW redeemed them a little bit but they still have TONS to work on.

I've never played either of them. Personally, I found HCTP's revamped gameplay engine a LOT better than the WMXIX one. But, again, it's a matter of opinion.

Haven't tried that yet. I'm really diggin' Wrath of Heaven on PS2, though. The stealth kills are fucking great!!

Uh, the whole "he added with a laugh" part tends to suggest he was joking....

BTW Renegade, when does voting close?

75% of the time, for me, I'd say. It looks like someone was fucking eating off of the thing. It makes me wonder what is so hard about taking care of a disc?! But, I do buy ex-rentals quite a bit and I've only ever had one bad disc out of that lot. In fact, I just bought a copy of Freddy/Jason on Wednesday that was in pretty much perfect condition. The only flaw was that it had the video stores "stamp" on the front of the discs. $12 as opposed to paying $30-something at HMV [Canadian funds, of course]. Huzzah!

I've never enjoyed Lesnar's work, so I could care less if he ever comes back. Good riddance.

Holy crap, I will so be turning off the commentary if I ever play this game. Who is that, btw, with Shchiavone?
