It would be real hard for them to cover it up this time. Imagine all the fuzzy screen we'd see covering both the belt...AND the WWF logo!!! I was under the impression they don't have to blur out the pre attitude-era logo. They don't have to, but they have in the past. Probably just to get people out of calling them WWF, no matter when. I believe the lawsuit only said that they can't use the "scratch" WWF logo... and I've always maintainted that Vince was an idiot and didn't need to go through with rebranding the whole company if he had have just added a small "e" after WWF... I mean, they changed the "TitanSports" name to "World Wrestling Federation Entertainment, Inc." long ago, so why not just use that? *sigh* Confusing McMahons...

Someone posted this on Lamejournal, so take it for what it's worth...

5-10 days before or after contracting syphilis?

Good lord that's just wrong...

That's what I always thought as well..

I think Hutch is definitely coming back. There were new scenes shown for next week and he was in pretty much all of them.
-
I agree. I can't stand JR & King, but two heel commentators made no sense to me whatsoever.
-
Oh, but it's rap.. god forbid it be involved with anything... lord knows we need more nu-metal soundtracks...
-
Spoiler (Highlight to Read): Did anyone else notice, that even though Hutch was kicked off tonight, he was present in the previews for the next show? I'm betting he gets let back on somehow...

Starvenger, I've not seen Birds of Prey, so I have no idea...

All sarcasm aside, the lyrics to the Evo theme are "Evolution is a mystery," right?
-
Exactly. I could also bring up the fact that Billy Dee Williams played Harvey Dent in Batman, yet Tommy Lee Jones had the role in Batman Forever. If anything, I think that was a worse affront to the series since it was all supposed to be in the same timeline...

1 hour a week for RAW. Various other time periods during the week [under 3hrs total] for puro. So.. around 3-4 total a week, if even that.

...I've just been reading around and aside from the "Selena is dead" premise.. other sites are rumoring that Pfeifer will reprise her role as Kyle in a mentor-ish relationship to Berry's character. Man, either way you slice it.. this movie has "BOMB" written all over it.

I agree... and due to this [Dre being more flamboyant] am I the only one who read the topic to this thread and expected to find some late breaking news that Dre came out of the closet? Yes, I'm losing my mind..

Does it change the argument any if I say that Halle Berry is actually of mixed blood? Her father is black and her mother is white... I didn't think it would, I just felt like pointing that out...

In Batman Returns, I can't recall, but I think it does end with a shadow of her against the moon or something.. I could be remembering that wrong. But the premise of the Cat Woman movie is that she died.. and it probably happened sometime after the Batman Returns timeline... I dunno, I'm not trying to defend this movie as it's probably going to be a horrendous pile of shite.. but I'm just saying, it's okay to have a black actress playing the Cat Woman character when she's not supposed to be Selena Kyle in the first place.
-
True. But it's already been stated, Selena Kyle is dead in this movie. It's a new character and a new Catwoman. It's the same thing as Jim Rhodes [black] taking over for Tony Stark [white] as Iron Man after Stark "died"... [he didn't start using the War Machine name until after Stark had returned...]

Man oh man, they just can't stop with the religious connotations and HBK can they? Though, this is a small step... last I checked his "crucifix pendant" was the biggest affront to his religion that he could purpetrate. Isn't it some sort of sin for those christian's if they defile the cross?
-
Ditto. It wasn't a big deal but I was still annoyed with the generic chyron they used for a lot of the sets in SYM.
-
Well, it was normal in the 60's. This isn't the first time that an African-American woman has played the Cat Woman role... hello, Eartha Kitt... Yes, the "original" Selena Kyle that debuted in Batman #1 [1940] is caucasian, but you're being really nitpicky here. Besides all of that, the premise of this movie is apparently that Selena is dead and that Patience is taking over the role of Catwoman, so technically it is a new character.

I don't recall Stamboli having one either. That whole fiasco with the hardcore title was just lame near it's demise. Foley and Crash were the only two worthwhile champs for that title.
