    Smackdown vs. Raw 2009: News/screens

I'm seriously losing interest in this game. I wish they'd fix the horrible online and then maybe the game would have a renewed appeal to me. I can deal with the cheap fighters.. it's the fucking lag that kills me. I don't - nor have I ever even experienced - lag on any other game except SDVR2009.. which leads me to believe that it's THEIR problem (ie: the Gamespy servers).

    "Retirement" Announcement

Have to agree. What's the point? Has life gotten sooo good outside of the internet that you can't post at a Forum anymore? Or are you moving to somewhere that doesn't have internet? I see no reason why I can't or shouldn't post at TSM for the rest of it's days. *shrug*

    Post pictures of your pet(s).

Bizarre, this is, that 2 years and 3 days after I posted these photos I had to have my cat put to sleep (this past Sunday). He'd developed lymphoma in his chest as well as a tumor on his lung. He was only 8. This has been a really shitty week.

    Heroes

I have no idea how anyone could call this a "great" or an "awesome" episode.

    The Dark Knight

Again, I ask, what is it to you (or anyone else) if some people say that this is the best movie they've ever seen? Seriously, why do you give THAT much of a shit what someone else's "best movie ever" is?

The OAO Vs. Fighting Game Thread

I actually just picked up Arcana Heart on PS2 last weekend. I haven't had much of a chance to get right into it but it kind of reminds of the old Ranma 1/2 Hard Battle for SNES.. only with a lot more depth. Speaking of Guilty Gear.. anyone seen videos of BlazBlue yet? Looks pretty sleek! Also - here is the KOFXII trailer and KOF2002 Unlimited Match footage: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SUTaFRIJeg4...feature=related

    Smackdown vs. Raw 2009: News/screens

First, a patch is different than an add-on (aka "Downloadable Content, DLC") - a patch fixes bugs, glitches, or general flaws with the game. The CAW/Stats mess is considered a flaw with the game, therefore the fix has to be free. As for the actual DLC itself. That will cost you money, yes. Probably anywhere from $4.99 to $9.99 depending on the size. As for what's in it.. well, it's already been discussed, everywhere, ad nauseam.

    Smackdown vs. Raw 2009: News/screens

Patches never cost anything. They're usually manditory updates to the game when you start it up and are actively connected to the net (well, at least on PS3).

    Heroes

Late 40s? No way, Arthur has got to be in his early-to-mid-60's.

    Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe

Man, $40? Even in USD that's still bullshit! I can't find this fucker for any less than $65! Bleh.

WWE General Discussion - December 2008

In 2008 (2009) who gives a flying fuck about whether the business is exposed or not? It's a moot point. They need to just let go of this idiot tradition of thinking that they're actually fooling anyone.

    Campaign 2008: Canadian Version

I thought I was being pretty specific.. this ability to combine your parties to form one big alliance to take over and claim you have the majority. The coalition is made up of 3 parties that have 54.4% of the vote. That's 26.2% for the Liberals, 18.2% for the NDP and 10% for the Bloc.

I looked that pic up because I knew I'd seen Edge in short trunks before.. I just forgot the story. Apparently his luggage was lost via the airline and he had to borrow Murdoch's.

WWE General Discussion - December 2008

There is a sense of "credibility" to the short trunks. Look at all the world champions who wore short trunks compared to the ones who wore long ones. Some just look better in the long though. Jericho, IMO, did. And don't say that too much, or Edge will be the next to lose the long trunks. It could happen. He's "lost" them once before, lol:

    Smackdown vs. Raw 2009: News/screens

Especially when you could do it in other games. Unless I'm remembering that wrong. Speaking of the EC.. why did they take out the ability to throw your opponent into the "glass" and break it?? Dumb.

    PlayStation 3

So, its Halo on the PS3? That's exactly how my girlfriend's cousin described it. He loved the online in Res1 but complained that Res2 was made into a Halo/Unreal clone when it comes to online. Personally, I'm sticking to MGO when it comes to online. Much more fun! IMO!

WWE General Discussion - December 2008

I'm sick of this line of thought that the "attitude era" was sooo long ago that only the "older crowd" would remember it. That era ended.. what? 2-3 years ago? It's not exactly an entire generation ago that it happened.

    Smackdown vs. Raw 2009: News/screens

True that. Any version of it with the Countdown that I find on Limewire is of horrible quality, too.

    The Dark Knight

Honestly.. the best BRD player, IMO, is the PS3. It's nicely priced, it's made by Sony, you get the gaming system along with it of course, and the best part is that you get all firmware updates automatically as soon as you sign in. No need to worry about "flashing memory" and downloading updates from a website. The biggest con I've found for replacing regular DVD players with a BRD player is that most standard DVD animated stuff looks like total ASS via a BRD on an HDTV. Even on a regular DVD playon on HDTV it's passable.. but the BRD player upscales to a point where you see ever flaw and inconsistency you'd normally never see.

I love having the ladders horizontally in the corner. There are a few cool moves you can do from that, too.

    Campaign 2008: Canadian Version

First, don't call me "buddy". Second, I KNOW how the system works. Just because I think that it's still bullshit and that it should be changed means I don't know how it works? Right along the lines of thought that anyone who differs with the Bloc is automatically a Quebec-basher. Good times.

    Campaign 2008: Canadian Version

This is where my main problem resides. Nothing to do with Harper. Nothing to do with the economy. This is something we as voters should get to decide on.
