Stevenson already has one up on Lundgren.. he has actual acting chops. I think this is gonna be all kinds of fun.
-
Sorry. I have to ask. But, if you're not a fan of the genre then why are you even in this thread?

I don't think that the first needs to be fixed, though. It was a great slasher flick for when it was released.. and I really think it speaks to the development of Jason. How his mom was as much of a fuckwich as he was.. and she was killing all these people off all those years.. he sees her get her head cut off and he takes over her murderous rampage, but on a grander scale. I think the thing a lot of people forget about the first movie was that there was no sequel planned initially and it was just supposed to end like that.

^^^ I dunno, I was pleasantly surprised by Triple H's performance.. and his little dog, too.

Geez, exaggerate much? Dude wasn't that much bigger. Well, to be fair this is one of the victim's friends going by what he's heard. It's not like he was there to witness it.

I'm hoping that it gets a Blu Ray release as well, as I would love to have the series in High Def. I figure I am only "double-dipping" for things I already have if it's a movie or series that I'm really into, and Batman is definitely one of them.

I just had this tought last night after seeing Iron Man for the second time. Does anyone think that Marvel will make a play for Hugh Jackman to appear in the Avengers movie as Wolverine? Since he is a "New Avenger" and all.. and there probably isn't going to be an X4. I thought that would be kind of cool. Or would that be too much star power for one movie?

All this talk of the animated series.. anyone picking up the complete collection this fall? I think I may, for the packaging and artbook, and just sell off the separate sets.
-
Ahh good point. Completely forgot the very very VERY end of Part 5.

...and here's the worthless piece of crap who did the deed: http://www.cpheraldleader.com/ArticleDisplay.aspx?e=1140475 (can't seem to link the image from the page)

I don't think the swerve takes 5 out of the series. Tommy Jarvis was a major character to the series and this was a continuation of his story. If anything, I think Goes to Hell and X (and Freddy vs Jason, of course) can be considered as non-canon to the series. I almost consider movies like that to be more movie versions of DC Comic's Elsewords or Marvel Comic's What If?! series'.

Prophecy of Doom was one of the weaker episodes, IMO. I wouldn't call it the worst episode, though.

Agreed. I saw it again this week and after the Joker got his screen time I thought about taking off myself. It's a shame they took a serious Batman bad guy like Two Face (who could carry an entire movie as a main bad guy) and just used him for like the last 1/4 of the movie It's a shame people still don't get why they did it that way...

I just have the feeling that Jolie would take away from the movie just given how she's viewed in the media. The less "Hollywood Darlings" in this series, the better, IMO. It's kind of like how Katie Homes entire Tom Cruise fiasco kind of messed with the press for the first movie.

Yeah this is some sick shit. I can't stomach picturing someone actually getting decapitated. Horror movie effects are one thing.. but to actually see it would be horrible.
-
Agree on the Joker redesign. That was probably the only one I really didn't like. Also - Over the Edge was all kinds of awesome.

Didn't know about this. Apparently now that The Batman (animated) is over, there's another animated series starting up for the Dark Knight. Batman: The Brave & The Bold starts this November. http://www.worldsfinestonline.com/news.php...news&id=213 Preview video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zpXSPJZr65s Interesting animation style. Reminds me a bit of Venture Brothers.
-
I found the revised style to be much more fluid and less choppy at times. That said, they're both technically the same series.. My favourite redesign for that series has to be for the Scarecrow.. Original: Redesign: Excellent!
-
Are you serious? This movie comes out in November? Holy shit does time fly.

Blah, I didn't like the New Batman Adventures at all, but Superman: The Animatd Series seemed pretty cool from what I saw of it. I only remember this one episode where Superman fought Metallo, and Metallo tried to drown him in lava. That was real bad ass! o_O How could you not like the New Batman Adventures??? Some of the best episodes in the DCAU were in that series. IMO, of course.

I think that would work better if Cody were still a face. Usually heels are the ones to come in and complain that they're not getting the respect/treatment that they deserve.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kestrel_%28Marvel_Comics%29 And for anyone who's going to get less enthused because of his casting.. I really doubt it's going to be that big of a part.

It didn't make that much money. It did the least gross out of all 3, and deserved it. It really was shit. And I wouldn't say Scarecrow and Ra's Al Ghul were unknowns at all to the mainstream, since those 2 were featured a lot on the animated series. Scarecrow was featured in some of my favorite episodes. Ra's Al Ghul's episodes I run hot and cold on, since his episodes are very weird, and seems more like a villain for James Bond or Indiana Jones. He's not one of my favorites, but I don't hate him or anything. Ah, but note that I said to the casual moviegoing public. Not Batman nerds like us.

I'm telling you. This is all just a set up to Vince's Ego Eposide 2453935521.6. Adamale will do a horrible job as GM, creating even more chaos than there was with no GM present. Vince will eventually return and fire him. He'll then probably piss all over Stephanie & Shane for doing a horrible job while he was away, and he'll probably feud with them too.. again. I don't know how you can't see this shit coming from miles away. ;P
