I traded in some DVDs & GHIII this weekend to pick up House of the Dead Overkill. I know, back on rail-shooters, but this is probably one of the only genre's that I can actually get my girlfriend to play as well. Anyway, it's pretty fun. The Samuel L. Jackon character has some great lines and I think this is the first time I've EVER seen any sort of personality coming from Agent G.

I've done all I can with the demo, a few times over. So I'm going to delete it tonight. I'll probably wait a week or so until I decide to pick this up or not. I really hope that that idiotic and distracting camera effect can be turned off in the final product. Yukes needs to realize that gamers don't need a camera effect to know that they're landing a punch, hitting a grapple or locking in submission. Seriously, what is their obsession with stupid camera effects and angles in these games???

Because if so, I just want to say...today I learned there's a Grey's Anatomy game for the Wii. Yeah. I guess that figures. It's the Wii. I came across a review for it on IGN and thought, "WTF" - of course it's a bad Trauma Center rip off. Casual gamers or not though I'd be surprised if there even was a market for a Grey's Anatomy game.. I mean, seriously, not even my girlfriend would fall for that and she watches the show religiously.

Finally got my hands on the demo. I actually really like this game. The gameplay is quick and pretty easy to get into. The only gripe I can think of off hand is the annoying camera effect EVERY TIME you hit a strike or grapple move. I hope there's an option to turn that off in the final release of the game.

That is why I started the DLC thread. Doesn't SF IV have a bunch of alternate attires that goes for like 20 bucks total? At least GTA 4 has Dlc that comes out almost a year after the game and offers alot. The next two dlc packs for Fallout 3 seem to be pretty good as well. Yes but it's not like that DLC is an essential piece of the game to get more out of it. I mean, you don't HAVE to buy it. It's there if you want it.

I use component cables for mine and it looks okay. Well, games look a million times better than the Wii menu itself.. it's pretty fuzzy even on component. Other than that, I have no idea. I really wish they'd had optional HDMI capabilities on this system.

Did anyone pick up Dead Rising? I'm playing it now.. it's pretty fun. I don't have a 360 so I can't compare it to the original. The fucking parrots are annoying as hell.. but so is my cat who keeps jumping in front of the TV to chase the crosshair.

I always wondered how Veidt, the smartest man in the world, couldn't figure out that any peace he achieved via his plan would be short lived. I mean, how many years will it take before the world figures out that there isn't ? How long before countries start arguing amongst themselves again and you're back in the same boat? Good railshooters are fun. I don't see the gripe. Sure, we don't want a shitty one.. but so far Umbrella Chronicles and the House of the Dead Series were great, IMO. At least its a genre of game that I can finally play with my girlfriend at the same time instead of her just watching me play something like Resident Evil or Dead Space on my own.

Does this include the stuff at the end of each chapter, like Under The Hood and everything else? No Under the Hood, but the stuff with the kid reading the Black Freighter is in there still. I think that they're releasing Under the Hood on it's on with an animated version of the Black Freighter at the end of this month actually.

Yes, Nixon did look cartoonish.. but I got the impression that he was supposed to look cartoonish. As fo Gugino's makeup, I didn't see the problem with it. You all must be wearing extra high-definition glasses or something because it looked fine to me.

I got the motion comic bluray on sale at BestBuy today.. aside from be being voiced by one guy (which is fine, really, it's just weird for the female parts) ..I thought it was pretty awesome. I'd actually like to see more graphic novels done like this.
