Wow that was the slowest "run" to the ring I've ever seen him do. And that rope shake.. I mean the promoter could've at least had them loosen up the ropes a bit prior to that, heh.

I think the dumbest part of all this is that the titles can go with the champions if they're drafted. Titles should be bonded to a show and not tradeable. If a champ gets drafted, he should have to vacate if he doesn't get beaten for it prior.

So what villian is next on tap? Hobgoblin? Mysterio? ...Carnage?

I am honestly really psyched about the new Mega Man. I am also psyched that it's using NES style graphics. I have no doubt that there'll be "this-gen" tweaks to the graphics, but I love that they're blueprinted with the 8-bit version as that was always my favourite era in the series (with Mega Man 2 being my all-time fave).

I don't think it's matter of moving on with your life. TSM is just an aspect of it. For me, checking the board online is as routine as checking the 24 hour news channel on my tv. I still have a job. I still have a girlfriend and friends that I hang around with outside of all of this. I guess it could be different for someone like me as the line of work that I'm in affords me to be online during the entire workday. I'm going to be 31 this year and my life is consistently moving forward... I guess that I like that TSM is something that stays pretty much constant throughout the years regardless of our ages.

Oh brutal. It's 3D fighting too. I'd be interested in seeing a 2D take on a CV Fighter.. making it similar to Guilty Gear.. but 3D.. that screenshot leaves a bad taste in my.. uh, eyes.. ?

If there's a new Mega Man game in the series I'd rather be able to play it on my TV than on a handheld console.

"Beer Money" makes me think that they should have frat guy gimmicks.. either that or gimmicks from Dazed & Confused..

Does anyone use one of these to play their consoles on a computer monitor? Here's my situation.. I want to start moving all of my "old gen" consoles into another room and reserve my larger LCD TV for the Wii and PS3. Since most of those older consoles (PS2, SNES, etc) aren't 16:9/Widescreen I've been looking for a 4:3 LCD TV with no fucking luck.. so I figure I'm going to have to go the computer monitor route since you can still get good sized models in a 4:3 aspect ratio. Hence the need for a VGA box. I've been looking at this one: http://ca.youtube.com/watch?v=mJj1E0FWXMc It looks like it works a-ok. Was just wondering if anyone else regularly uses this one or one like it. Thanks!

Why wouldn't the board be here? As far as I'm concerned it should never disappear and if there's ever any danger of that I'm sure there are more than enough of us here who'd gladly step in to help keep it afloat.

Martel was a huge babyface back in the day, pre-WWF Strike Force & The Model gimmicks. Former AWA World Heavyweight Champ. He used to make the rounds as coverboy of PWI rotating with Ric Flair, Hulk Hogan, Sting, Magnum TA, Dusty, etc. I still remember this one poster they had in PWI that had all "big three" World Champs on it: Flair, Hogan & Martel. He's probably big with Booker as he no doubt watched him getting into the business, but it was probably lost on today's casual/new fan.

Who else is on Team Japan?

I love Sound Forge but agree that Audacity is a great alternative if you're not looking to shell out money for this.

It really bothers me when they release these games that are already populated on the Genesis Collection that I own for PS2. I know not everyone has it or has a PS2 for that matter.. but it still bugs me. I feel like they should be releasing older FF games or DW games or even fucking Pro Wrestling. Sure it's not a GREAT game.. but I'd rather have that than Alex Kid... Miracle World is a Master System game and/so it wasn't on the Sega Genesis Collection. Square isn't going to let Nintendo put Final Fantasy or Dragon Quest up because they can release remakes on portable systems for 30-40 bucks a pop. That's why we have King's Knight and not Chrono Trigger. Maybe, just maybe, they'll start doing it for FF1 and 2 since they've remade them FOUR FUCKING TIMES already. Also, having the games on a compilation on another system doesn't mean it shouldn't be on VC. I have no idea when the Wii SNK Arcade Collection is coming out, but come hell or high water, I would like to be able to play a full-speed Shock Troopers on it or VC, instead of that travesty that is Shock Troopers on the PS2 SNK Arcade Collection. Oh no doubt. Though, I kinda wish they'd use that Everybody Votes channel for something useful.. like deciding some upcoming VC releases.

So I lucked out while on my latest excursion to Tokyo. Found the Super Famicom "Club Nintendo" version of the Wii Classic Controller! $40 and I gotta say, completely worth it. Much more comfortable than the normal Wii Classic Controller!

Random observation.. I'm just rewatching Angel's first season and Sawyer makes an appearance as one of the three vampires in the beginning of the first episode. Never noticed that before.

This is gonna sound wierd.. but anyone have a recommendation for an affordable 4:3 (ie: not widescreen) HDTV 32" or under? I'm trying to build something similar to an arcade cabinet (but not an actual cabinet, more like the corner of a room, lol) and I want to go for something that's not widescreen since most of the games I'll be using for it are 2D fighters via my region 2 PS2. Suggestions?

Since I have two surnames... Surname: Quinn This interesting name is an ancient Celtic personal name derived from the Irish word, "conn" meaning "counsel". It is an Anglicized form of the Gaelic "O' Cuinn" distinct septs of this name, the most notable being, the Dalcassian sept of Thomond, whose territory lay around Corofin in the barony of Inchiquin, County Clare, and of Antrim, where they have been associated with the Glens of Antrim. The first of this sept to bear the name was Niall O' Cuinn, who was killed at the Battle of Clontarf, in 1014. The name can be found as "O' Quinn" or "Mac Quinn" (the "O" and "mac", denoting "son of"), while O' Quinn is common all over Ireland, and especially in County Tyrone, Mac Quinn is more popular in County Kerry. Among the recordings in London is the marriage of Henry Quyn and Margaret Hewe on August 30th 1609 at St. Dunstan, Stepney, London and the christening of William Quin, son of Andrew and Hanna Quinn, on January 2th 1692, at St. Bride, Fleet Street. The first recorded spelling of the family name is shown to be that of Mac Cuinn, which was dated 1027, Ancient Charters of the Isle of Man, during the reign of King Canute, 1013 - 1035. Surnames became necessary when governments introduced personal taxation. In England this was known as Poll Tax. Throughout the centuries, surnames in every country have continued to "develop" often leading to astonishing variants of the original spelling. Surname: Anderson This interesting surname is of English and Scottish origin, and is a patronymic of the surname Andrew, which is derived from the personal name from the Greek "Andreas", a derivative of "andreios", manly, from "aner", man, male. This was the name of the first of Jesus Christ's disciples, and it is also the name of the patron saint of both Scotland and Russia. The personal name was first recorded as "Andreas" in the Domesday Book of 1086, and the surname was first recorded in Scotland with one John Andree, who was present at the perambulation of the boundaries of Kyrknes and Louchor in 1395. The modern surname can be found as Andrew(e)s, Andress, Andriss, Anderson, Enderson, McAndrew and Kendrew. One William Anderson was an early settler in America, setting sail from London on the "Alexander" bound for the Barbadoes in May 1635. Among the recordings in London is the christening of Neal, son of Erasmus and Mary Anderson, on March 19th 1698, at St. Katherine by the Tower. The first recorded spelling of the family name is shown to be that of Rogerus Andreweson, which was dated 1272, in the "Poll Tax Returns of Yorkshire", during the reign of King Edward 111, known as "The Father of the Navy", 1327 - 1377. Surnames became necessary when governments introduced personal taxation. In England this was known as Poll Tax. Throughout the centuries, surnames in every country have continued to "develop" often leading to astonishing variants of the original spelling.

Wow I am so very very psyched for that animated feature...

Yah Akihabara is brutal right now.. more so than usual anyway. I figure I'll give it a week or so before I try to go back, lol. On a side note - the Yokohama NOAH show was fucking amazing. Sasaki/Nakajima vs KENTA/Kobashi brought the house down!

It's that time again.. going to Tokyo for work over the next few weeks (minimum 2 but could extend to 6 - I land on the 12th of June). Any of you TSM members out there still? I seen to have a vague memory that a few of you were over there teaching or studying the last time that I talked about this. If so, let me know as I've got no social contacts there anymore - most of my mates over there teaching English have finished up their contracts and are back over here - so I'm looking to hang out with people in a very non-gay way. Hoping to trek up to Yokohama on the 14th to catch the big NOAH show.. as well as the finals for the Best of the Super Jr at Korakuen on the 15th. Cheers,

I believe so but I think he's in Kyoto. I think.

I'll never understand region blocking for this kind of shit. What's the point of the internet if I can't view it in other countries??

Does he always wear Yuji Nagata's outfit but in red?
