I have to admit, I was wondering the whole time where Taker and Vince were during the send off. Good to hear that they came out after all. I was half expecting/hoping that Taker would come out, the roster would part and he would hand Flair his title or something like that. What actually happened was just as good though!

Cody is old school, even in his choice of entertainment. LMAO - that's awesome. I just found his explanation for it at this site: http://individual.com/story.php?story=80069840 Suddenly, I like Cody Rhodes a little more. Ditto.

Why does Cody Rhodes have the Triforce from Zelda on his boots?

Not trying to start anything with this, but does anyone know if Flair has problems with Diabetes or anything like that? I was just watching his 2001 return to the WWF as "co-owner" and comparing his face now, to then, it looks like he's aged about 15 years since then (7 years ago). The reason I ask about Diabetes, is that I remember Johnny Cash aging similarly. One year he looked his actual age at the time, but then a few years later it looked like he was pushing 100.

Funk would be a nice addition too. That was always one of my favourite Flair feuds..

Is Eddy Guerrero unlockable, legitimage or not (ie: gameshark), on the PS3 version? I find it kind of odd that they'd only have him on the PSP version...

This is offtopic, a bit, but I haven't played 2008 - did they fix all the bullshit little things that were wrong with 2007? Stuff like: -Lilian announcing, but Chimel being in the ring -Only one wrestler's name in a tag team being announced ..and so-on. I was originally going to say that with this focus on tag teams, I hope they actually FIX some of the cosmetic stuff about tag teams, but then I realized that may have been taken care of in 2008.

News that's as positive as it is shocking

I'm all for that! (serious direction, that is) -
If I had the PSD here at work I'd totally post one for you bps.. ;P That said, what does Flair do now? Is this an ACTUAL end to his career? Or will there be "one more match" every few months? Does he leave wrestling altogether? Become the GM of Smackdown? Stick around as a manager for someone? Personally, I still think Flair was enjoyable to watch in the ring. He didn't age like Hogan or any of those other guys who went past their prime. I really think he could've gone a least a couple more years before really retiring. That said, if he's not going to wrestle (full-time) anymore, I still want him on my tv. The guy is a master promo-cutter so he HAS to be kept around in some capacity, IMO. I vote GM of Smackdown. Long & Guerrero are nothing special, anyway, IMO.

The design is there, but it's not the same belt, per se.

Another Benoit thread. Same shit. Different pile.

Frankly I'd be fine if they dropped the CAW feature all together. I don't have 3 hours to sit down and make a wrestler that I'll probably only use once or twice. IMO, the CAW was at it's best in the N64 days. Simple and to the point, it never took me more than 30-45 minutes to create someone.

IMO - Flair is the level of wrestler that he should be given a WWE Title win (as in the Raw belt, the one that matters) to retire with. He's given that much to the business that I think they should let him go out at the highest level possible.

The Kinks were influenced by Aerosmith? That said, I'd get this just to be able to play a Black Crowes song.. Having said that, I really hope we get a GH: Led Zeppelin one day..

Why should Bruno be inducted? Maybe because he was one of the best babyfaces the company had, was champion for eight years, and has sold out MSG a near-record number of times. If Bruno is going to refuse, that's his choice. But it would add a ton of credibility to the HoF to have Bruno inducted. If Bruno doesn't want to appear, fine. Induct him anyway, give him a nice speech and presentation, and let the choice be Bruno's as to whether he appears. It might make WWE look like the bigger people if they're willing to do all that for someone they admittedly have no love for. 1. You can't induct someone if they don't want to be inducted. They might as well wait until he's dead, then. 2. It wouldn't make WWE look like "bigger people" - no one cares about the feud between the two, anymore. Well, except the people who want to nitpick about the HOF inductees.

Or because a limo driver and Pete Rose are it, while Bruno Sammartino and Bob Backlund aren't. Over the past few years, the WWE HoF has become more industry wide rather than WWE orientated, which makes it seem more credible. While criticism has died down over the years, and rightfully so, it's still a HoF that counts a limo driver and Pete Rose as members, when people who have made far greater contributions to the company still aren't invited. The Celeb inductions were tack-ons to make it more fun. Sure they hinder it a bit, but they shouldn't be taken seriously, especially when they occurred when there were several other big name inductions on the bill in those years. As for James Dudley. Doesn't matter whether I disagree with it or not. He started out as a limo driver, yeah, but that's not the reasoning for his induction. I'd wager that just because his name means nothing to fans, doesn't mean it also means nothing to those who're involved with the business. ..and why would Bruno be inducted? There's never going to be a resolution there and even if he was approached, he'd probably refuse.

The North American version of NMH is defintiely more graphic, that's one plus to getting it.

Both I think..

^^^ What he said.

I really enjoyed the HHH set, though I think it could've been at least 1 disc longer. And only 2 extras? Come on. That said, is the previous white covered "HHH The Game" DVD worth picking up as well?
-
Because they'd lose a lot of customers who aren't ready (or willing) to shell out the amount of money that a PS3 costs.
-
Yeah, I don't think the world map is so bad at all. Sure you can't go around slashing pedestrians and jacking other vehicles, but that's not what this game is about anyway.

Anyway, was just reading this on Gerweck.net, who stole it from the Observer: Seriously. Way to reach, WWE..

What ever happened to Peter Stormare joining the cast? Hadn't the writers created a character that was specifically written for him?
