Yeah, it seems a lot of them over there quickly went from "Yay, Fire Pro Returns for North America, finally!" to "You better do this right or we riot!! OMGLOLZKTHXBYE!" Worst heel turn ever, heh.

1. For all the pissing and moaning going on over at the FPC, I don't find this important at all. 2. This is a little more problematic, but oh well, what can you do? It really only seems to matter to hardcore fans who know the difference between the Critical Skill and the wrestler's Finishing move. Casual fans aren't going to really give a shit, and criticals are rare enough that I doubt it's going to set off any alarms.

I play the game as realistically I can, depending on who I'm using. That even includes letting the CPU get some offense in if needed. Don't mind if I lose either.
-
Similar, yes. Square for weak moves. X for medium moves. Circle for strong moves. Circle + X for the move that's usually a finisher.

If you're a graphics type guy, this series sort of sucks, but gameplay, it's quite superb actually. Well actually another downside is they don't really seem to distinguish the difference between a finisher and a regular move. I guess it's more in line with Japan though where even an elbow strike finishes a guy as much as a burning hammer does. Nah, pretty graphics don't mean much to me. I've played some fun games that looked like a 12 year old designed it. As long as it's enjoyable and giving me a great wrestling game (haven't seen one of those in a long time) then I'm sure I'll enjoy it. Plus the 15 dollar tag just screams "low risk, high reward". The controls do worry me a little bit, how much of a timing problem we talking here? You just have to train yourself to hit the button when you see the two wrestlers hands touch eachothers shoulders in the lockup stance. It's really not that hard to get used to at all. Once you get the hang of it, as everyone else has said above me, you'll be pulling off moves left, right and center!

How is Nash is that bad of shape? He looked pretty fit when he attacked Angle the other week on Impact. You can tell his knees are still a major issue with him everytime he walks. He's far from mobile - was he ever though? But I would be one to think he's worse than ever these days. Bad knees do not equal heart attacks, though, which is really what I was asking about.

I guess it's more in line with Japan though where even an elbow strike finishes a guy as much as a burning hammer does. That's not really correct. You can set an elbowstrike as a finisher, but it's definitely not going to do as much damage as a Burning Hammer that's set as a finisher. There are lots of attributes factored into how much damage a move does... wrestler fighting style, whether or not they have "one-hit finisher" in their critical skill, whether or not they have "finisher" as their special skill, offense/defense attributes - ie: if you have low points in striking then your elbowstrike finisher is pretty much rendered useless, and so on...

A peak rating of 118th (2000-01), and a 5.4 million viewers for season three. But since it's on a weblet... it's all relative I don't really care much for Whedon outside of Astonishing X-Men, but I do think the guy always talks a good game, so getting another show doesn't surprise me that much. Really, that's probably one of the worst things of his you could actually care about. That and Alien Resurrection.

Used her wiles to get control of American women's wrestling (mainly the world title and training/booking the women for NWA territories) away from Billy Wolfe. Good for Moolah. Seriously. Wrestling is such a fucking sideshow, why should we care if people use politics to get to the top? Fuck it, if anything I respect them more for pulling it off and surviving for so long.
-
PS -Did we really need another Benoit thread? Hasn't this "can you still watch his matches" stuff been covered in the other one?

Sad to hear this. RIP Moolah. At least for once it's a wrestling death due to natural causes.

Monster Mash Battle Royal. Miz Vs Morrison. More Balls & Kelly.
dubq replied to Hawk 34's topic in The WWE Folder
Wow, I've now just seen John Morrison's entrance for the first time - that's some of the gayest shit on TV right there... -
I haven't been to Cora's in years, but Papa Ceo's still has the giant slices.

Danville, check out www.fireproclub.com - there're tons of faqs, move guides, rename lists, etc. over there, and if you go into the forums, there'll probably be some edits trickling in after the game gets released.
-
Fuck yes. I just mentioned Papa Ceo's in that Pizza Hut thread. Their pizza is fucking heaven!
-
Pizza Hut is greasy and disgusting. Do they even offer baked pizzas from an oven instead of the greased up deep dish pan crap? Either way, if I get pizza it's either from Pizza Pizza, Amato's or Mama's Pizza - oh, or Papa Ceo's if I'm in the neighborhood (Torontonians will know that one).

I do Bagel Bites once in a while, or fresh food that has to be stored frozen if you're not going to eat it all at once (ie: shrimp) but otherwise I can't touch the stuff. I'm way too used to making my own meals w/ fresh ingredients, and it's actually not that expensive if you go to markets instead of grocery stores. My girlfriend eats a lot of Michelinas - healthy advantange or something - where the meal is only 130 calories or something. I think it's a chick thing because I see other women at work with the same things. Either way it tastes like garbage to me.

That 1up reviewer is way off. Sounds like they have a chip on their shoulder about something here. I haven't had any of the control problems, nor do I find myself missing the executions by glancing over to see what motion to make next. Sounds like someone can't walk and chew bubble gum at the same time over there.

I would like to see Zombies Ate My Neighbors appear on the Wii's virtual console. Apparently the ESRB recently gave it a rating, but it then disappeared from their site, or so the Wiki entry says. I've never played Eternal Darkness, either. I should give it a go.

Even if the thread does go dead for a bit, you should still post pics. It's wierd, but I love seeing other people's collections/setups.
