I could see Lance getting a month of jobbing to Randy Orton for either of those remarks.

Shit, if this is true, I'm going.

I wouldn't worry about this rating too much. I think next week's rating will be beyond shitty, because everyone who watched this week will tune out next. It's a vicious circle.
-
That's the point I was trying to make. A wrestler specially grown in a laboratory using the DNA of Austin, Flair, Rock, Hogan, Steamboat and Foley wouldn't get over if all you gave him was the name "Ed Dwinklefarb" and sent him out to be squashed by Albert in 40 seconds. Without management's ok, you go nowhere.

We need to ressurrect the 101 Reasons Bossman is better than Goldberg thread.

You know what? Unless they are determined to break the Guiness World Record for Stupid Run-ins (which is possible), I think the Vince/Taker match will be ok. If Steph/Vince wasn't as shitty as we all thought, this should be cake. The real problem is IT SHOULDN'T BE HAPPENING IN THE FIRST PLACE. People say Taker put Brock over. I say he didn't. It should be established that this new monster owns Taker, and that's proven over a series of wins. Instead, Taker is probably going to give a win that could build someone else up to Vince McMahon. No wonder nobody is drawing.

Heh-heh... I've always wondered about this when the old guard says the new guys need to "Step up," as if it's their fault they're not on TV or getting more exposure. So, if I'm just up from OVW I can ask for more match time (and reduce someone else's match time in the meanwhile), and ask for a specific opponent so we can really tear up the ring and show my skills, or I can ask Vince to cut his promo short so I can do one of my own? Sure. I'll be that's the way it works.

Question For The Fans of Women's Wrestling Here
jester replied to ChrisMWaters's topic in The WWE Folder
I wouldn't want to take over most of the WOW gimmicks, which were lame in the extreme. Even Terri Gold's gimmick, a basic female Kurt Angle, was played STRAIGHT. We were supposed to buy her as an all-American face. She'd get laughed out of an arena if she tried that with WWE. And yes, though many of them were green as grass, I would still like to see them in WWE. Victoria and Riot would make a great heel tag team. -
Question For The Fans of Women's Wrestling Here

Riot ruled. She almost had that Austin vibe going (well, by WOW's low standards anyway). She was a heel everyone loved. I could see a few WOW wrestlers doing ok in WWE. Terri Gold, but she needs to revise her gimmick. Apparently Selena Majors and Thug trained everyone there, so they might be useful in that regard. I can't see them letting them wrestle though. They just don't have the looks. But the one thing that has to happen is LAWLER HAS TO SHUT THE FUCK UP ABOUT PUPPIES. I don't need Lawler to tell me that Trish has a nice rack. That I can see. They should concentrate on their skills and trying to put over whatever feud they have on. -
Vince thinking. 1. Eddie is getting a good reaction even though we haven't pushed him as hard or booked him as strong as many other wrestlers. 2. Eddie is smaller than most of our wrestlers, but he is certainly more skilled. 3. Despite personal problems in the past, Eddie has cleaned himself up and been professional. 4. Eddie has great promo skills and ring skills. 5. Eddie appeals to the very large Latino demographic, and could potentially tap into that market. So the only logical Vince K. McMahon conclusion is: JOB EDDIE TO NATHAN JONES!

I agree. Kane should have absolutely slaughtered Shane, maybe squash someone else in a mini-feud, and then go after Goldberg.
-
Who is HHH then? Nelson Muntz? I think that fits. "Stop burying yourself! Stop burying yourself! Why do you keep burying yourself Jericho? Ha-HA!"
-
Sable SUED Vince McMahon and she's back. I think Hogan could kill Stephanie and still be back for Wrestlemania XXX to face HHH in a tables, walkers and wheelchair match.
-
I'm just glad the site dedicates most of the space to the really important guys--the McMahons. Not like those wrestlers we couldn't give a fuck about.
-
Uh, wouldn't it be better for a wrestler to take out Taker, since he hardly ever jobs? That great big rub for beating Take is going to Vince of all people?
-
Amen. Also, I am frankly skeptical about Hogan's ability to help out TNA. Even if he does boost their business or land him a TV deal, he'll pressure management to centre the booking around him and we'll have WCW, Part II. Or Part III, if you consider WWE to be WCW Part II.
-
My thoughts exactly. Yep. IMO they should include more "fake" blown spots, so it might not look as obviously when they really botch one. And a botched spot on a minor move where there's no connection and the wrestler doesn't react, and the match flow isn't broken is ok. When the wrestler doesn't sell on a major move, then realizes she should have and falls in the wrong direction...like Jackie Gayda did in the legendary match from hell, that's another story all together.
-
I agree. And if you think about the last two Wrestlemanias were "Celebrations of the past" with appearances by Hulk Hogan and his bullshit "20 years in tke making" feud with Vinnie. Send the retirement home escapees to play Bingo or something and let the young guys or those who can still work stay.

How long before they announce that they don't like America for the cheap heat and establish themselves as Generic Anti-American Foreigner Stable (GAAFS) #45 this year alone? My guess is two seconds. They'll come out waving Japanese flags of course. Oh, and I also bet that Taker will be allowed to beat up this stable single-handed.
-
He's got a good look and he has potential. Anyway, it's the economy and take time to shove new roid gorillas down people's throats...I mean, build new stars.

Test has potential.

OMFG Abraham is reforming the FLOCK~!

That Goldberg Bounty thing, and Raw in general...
jester replied to Toxxic's topic in The WWE Folder
The problem is that the crowd is used to Austin being like this. And they enjoy cheering him on, even when he's being a dick. He'd have to really do something bad in order to get the crowd to turn on him. Giving the stunner to some nuns and an orphan or two isn't enough. I think about the only thing bad enough would be to piss on the flag in the middle of the ring. -
I'd be all for Hogan having a match at XX. But only if he jobs by tapping to a Jackie Gayda armbar. Otherwise, I am not interesting in seeing more of him.
-
Ok Rock, you have three choices. 1. Return to WWE, go to Raw, and likely get saved from Randy Orton beatdowns by Shane, and back him up during tag matches. 2. Return to WWE, go to Smackdown, and be involved in angles that revolve around feces. 3. Be in a movie where you get reincarnated as different animals. As bad as this movie sounds, let's face it. He made the right choice.
