There's more here than at Bonnaroo that I like (though not much more), but still nothing I'd go out of my way to see. It's rare that I can be motivated to see a band outside a club; festivals hold little appeal for me.

There's less than five acts I like playing, with only one of them (Malkmus & the Jicks) that I'd make any great effort to see. So, no.

I can hold out hope for a runthrough of "Penetration in the Centerfold." On the second disc for The Life Aquatic dvd, Mothersbaugh is interviewed in a segment at his studio, discussing the score for the film. What's noteworthy about this is that through most of the piece, he has this incredibly fat pug sitting in his lap. Maybe that's not noteworthy, but it certainly got a lot of "aaaaawwwwws" out of me.

I was going to add that I never thought there was a "crew"—implied or no—but I suppose Gene and myself co-running a message board designed only for certain people at this board gives the idea of some sort of elitist cabal. This did not become clear to me until after my banning from the Pit. I checked out this thread where the ethics of ridding of me were discussed; one person said something to the effect of "Oh who cares him and Agent are probably laughing about it at their secret board." That someone legitimately thought that was so very, very sad.

I watched some wrestling not too long ago. No, really. It was after I got cable into this place; I was flipping through channels and stopped when I saw this old, greasy dude with an enormous beer gut. He looked familiar. It didn't take long for me to realize that it was Raven and I was watching TNA. I didn't keep it on the channel long—a couple of cookie sheets to the head and some spilled blood. Same ol' bullshit.

Banky was the other 15%, of course.

I was there for the yellow board; I think I only had ten or so posts. As for the Dames-era, after I stopped posting about wrestling, I rose to prominence as being that guy a number of people would confuse with Kinetic, mainly for our mutual love of indie rock and that we were both funny. That, combined with Kinetic and myself being responsible for about 85% of TSM's gimmicks from the fall of '02-spring '03.

I can't not say "Patches." What to do?

I didn't like YATQ very much, outside of "Irish Blood, English Heart" and "First of the Gang to Die." Solo Morrissey is waaaaaay hit-or-miss. For every Your Arsenal and Vauxhall and I, you get Kill Uncle and Maladjusted. I still remain interested in whatever he does, though. His enigmatic nature keeps me coming back.

Granted, solo Morrissey also means a lot of crap, but Czech was once all like "man, nothing past Strangeways is worth my time." Which is just wrong, man.

Not familiar with the commercial, but that's a song by the Nerves. The song itself is more famous for the cover version by Blondie.
