  1. I may not like the movie as much as other people, but I want this movie to make 300 billion dollars. Cause I want to see Freddy vs Jason vs Ash or whatever they come up with next. I wanna see more Jason movies. I wanna see the Elm Street prequel. I wanna see whatever they'll put out bad or good cause at least it's a horror movie that doesn't go direct to video and begin with the words "Wes Craven Presents...."

I don't think the movie has to make 100 million for a Freddy vs Jason vs Ash movie to be made. The two franchises weren't making alot of money and they still made Freddy vs Jason.

  2. A-Rod is every bit as good as Ichiro. Why shouldn't he get the same consideration? Just because the Mariners' pitching happens to be better?

So any player with good starting pitching should be eliminated from the MVP race?

I don't care if he's twice the player Ichiro is. Ichiro fits the criteria the voters look for in MVP canidates. A player who puts up good numbers, and the most valuable to a winning team.

I still don't understand how A-Rod is valuable. It's not the award for best player, or best hitter. If your team is 10 games under, I fail to see how valuable you really are.

  3. That's such a load of b.s. that Ichiro isn't winning it on his own merits. Likely another batting title, over 220 hits, 40 steals, gold glove defense. Ichiro doesn't have the great slugging % or OPS because he's a lead off hitter, he gets on base and is the best player in the league at getting himself into scoring position. Making it easier for the other batters to drive him in.

MIAMI (AP) -- Florida Marlins left-hander Mark Redman says there's a perception problem involving umpire Jim Wolf because his brother is Philadelphia Phillies pitcher Randy Wolf.

The Marlins and Phillies are battling for the National League wild-card lead. Jim Wolf, a Triple-A umpire who fills in for vacationing major-league umps, worked the Marlins-Dodgers series this week, and Redman questioned three of his calls in Florida's 6-4 loss Thursday.

Redman stopped short of saying Wolf allowed his family connection to influence calls, but said, "I guarantee that crosses every player's mind."

"You hope he doesn't do that," Redman said. "It crosses people's minds, but he's a professional."

Wolf declined to comment, but crew chief Larry Young defended his colleague. Young noted the Haller brothers -- umpire Bill and catcher Tom -- were also in the NL together in the 1960s and 70s.

"[Wolf] doesn't perceive it to be a problem, and I do not, either," Young said. "He could care less about the pennant race."

TV replays showed Wolf blew a call Thursday when he ruled Jeromy Burnitz safe on an infield hit. Redman complained, and as he walked off the field at the end of the inning he shouted at Wolf.

"I told him, `You're better than that,"' Redman said. "I don't think he liked it too much."

I've never seen highlights of the game. Did Wolf do a bad job.

  5. Oh and my bold prediction is that at the 10th anniversary show next month Andy will announce he is returning to the show as let's face it his movie and t.v. careers haven't exactly taken off.

Doesn't Andy have a piolet series for CBS? I thought I read it some where.
