Will Arnett played GOB in Arrested Development. He's great with smarmy, melodramatic "villain" stuff. He's in the trailer with Amy Pohler for like 2 seconds hugging the bear rug.

I hate Jon Heder, but I'll see it for Will Arnett.

I re-he-heally don't think that's a problem, Katie. The thing is, what else could they possibly do in a seventh season without repeating scenarios or really stretching things? Season six sees all the characters being as "grown up" as they're probably going to be without losing interest. And if you gauge seasons based on Turk/Carla's relationship: Season 1: start dating/fall in love Season 2: get engaged Season 3: get married Season 4: first-year marriage problems Season 5: have a baby Season 6: deal with parenthood Then where? And I fucking hate babies as characters. Jack has managed to have a few funny lines, but usually not. And pretty much every relationship between the characters has been exhausted, so it'd be best to end it unless they come up with something new and refreshing.

I'm still not sure how much I'm going to enjoy the musical tonight. I'm hoping the shit song isn't totally indicative of the other songs that will be in, but for some reason I doubt that. Mr. Braff: He also said this:

I flew Virgin from Miami to London over Spring Break last year and didn't think it could get better than the current setup, which was a monitor for each seat with the choice of about twenty movies, TV shows, CDs, and games. Guess they can.

Funny you say that, I felt the same way about Miami Vice.

An update on this from Zach Braff's new myspace blog:

The DVD comes out on 13 February in both single-disc and two-disc editions. Single disc: Double: with # Additional scenes with introductions by Martin Scorsese # Feature-length TCM profile "Scorsese on Scorsese" # The Story of the Boston Mob: the real-life gangster behind Jack Nicholson's character # Crossing Criminal Cultures: how Little Italy's crime and violence influence Scorsese's work

They got one right with Scorsese.

And even though I expected it, Alec Baldwin topping Braff & Carell pissed me off too.

This is ridiculous. "Ugly Betty" just won best comedy.

Next week's episode: The week of the 25th is a rerun, and then February 1st brings us

Okay, this is really cool: a full-length table read of My Coffee. One thing that stood out the most, though. Johnny C.'s hair. What IS that? Does that mean he wears a piece on the show or what? He looks 80% bald.

All Things Must Pass is one of my favorite all-time records. Besides that I haven't really listened to much other stuff.

I'm used to it by now. Tonight's episode wasn't especially great, but I did love "There's only one way to settle this." "We both ingest these cyanide tablets." "Yes. Wait, what?" "Mine was a skittle." And Todd's "I can't see the nipple!"

Boon: http://www.tmz.com/2006/10/28/scrubs-nbcs-savior/ And there's another interview I can't find right now where he says something along the lines of "I haven't told the person yet, would you mind telling him or her for me?" which leads me to believe it's someone who in character is a hard-ass, like Nurse Roberts or Jordan. Or Jordan because Christa Miller is his wife and he wouldn't want to tell her.

Yeah, and assuming this is the last season, they'll have to end with Cox giving J.D. a hug or admitting he was his mentor/proud of him for the feel goodery. I'm curious as to who's going to die. Bill said it wasn't one of the main characters, but someone who's been on the show for all six seasons. That leaves, who, Todd, Doug, Ted, Nurse Roberts, and Jordan. The last two are the only two that make sense if they're going for drama. Unless they want a comedic moment where Ted finally gets the death he's always wanted. Still sounds weird either way.

I love Janitor/Cox interaction, so I'm looking forward to this.

This was a pilot episode developed before this fall season by "Scrubs" guys Bill Lawrence and Neil Goldman & Garrett Donovan. It wasn't picked up for this season, but since the pilot was posted on YouTube it's garnered hundreds of thousands of views, which got the attention of NBC execs. This article mentions how NBC commissioned the shooting of "webisodes" while the team started developing scripts for potential pickup next season. Here's the pilot, Pilot Part 1 Part 2 Part 3 plus YouTube has a lot of said webisodes already, with the characters at the Emmys or talking about another show. I really don't like the leads, but the concept is really innovative and there were some big laughs. The execs are probably the strongest characters on the show. I hope this gets picked up next season, especially if Scrubs does end.

I haven't heard any of his music, but the guy is hilarious as the Dad in the criminally-cancelled show Undeclared.

...wow. Another preview of the musical episode, which airs January 18th.

I think it was to make you think he was taking off his coat to put it around her shoulders like a gentleman. Then he went Dwight.
