Yeah, I love it. Samuel L. Jackson is the best part, followed closely by the other cliches (popular music, record skipping).

Capote is a really great film, and not just for Hoffman's performance as I've heard from some people. And The Squid and the Whale is depressing but short enough to keep it very engaging. Just like Wes Anderson's stuff, it's categorized as a "comedy" because it's "offbeat," when really, there aren't exactly any laugh-out-loud moments.

And all of his matches should be written like an epic poem.

Winter Passing - 8/10 It's in the same vein as Garden State with Zooey Deschanel (Almost Famous) in Braff's role, an aspiring but detached actress who heads from NYC to her smalltown home to see her father (a really subdued Ed Harris) after years of no contact. Anyway, not quite as good as Braff's. Still, I really enjoyed it, especially Will Ferrel's understated role, which he handles perfectly while still bringing out the laughs ("God is my copilot!"). Solid first effort for Adam Rapp. Recommended.

Best of the season? Yeah. One of my favorites? Definitely. But there's also "My Screw Up" from season 3, "His Story" and "My TCW" from season 2 that I'd put as equal to it (haven't seen season 4).
