Yeah, I just bought Seasons 1 & 2 and went through them pretty quickly. My favorites include: "My Old Lady" "My Occurrence" "His Story" "My T.C.W." "My Interpretation" Now to wait for May 9th for Season 3 and "My Screw Up."

I've been enjoying this season. Highlights so far have been "My Way Home" (Wizard of Oz) and "My Five Stages" (the grief counselor). I hate Keith, but then again I hate all of Eliot's boyfriends. The Todd never gets old. From last week: The Janitor hurdling and J.D.'s "Abort the babies!" line were awesome. Also, nbc.com/Scrubs is having a "Name Carla and Turk's baby!" contest. I hope they like Ottoman Turk.

Pssh, I wish. The closest thing to "retro" here is one of the six-screen theaters showing Crash.

Glengarry Glen Ross - 8/10 I rented this a year ago and was completely lost, so I gave up on it. But now that I've read the play, it's a lot easier to follow and a lot of fun. Pacino is just awesome and a perfect Roma. The Squid and the Whale - 9/10 Heartbreaking. But really. How could only two people in a whole audience know that "Hey You" was a Pink Floyd song?

I severed ties with Bucknell last night. As I suspected, because my sister is graduating college next year (with only a chance of going to grad school), the Bucknell grant the following year would be "significantly less." I more or less told him that it wasn't possible to still supplement over $20,000 one year, and then more the proceeding years. So, pending financial offers from UVa, FSU is looking more and more likely.

He's too busy getting his music career off the ground. Highly recommended, btw. -
Yeah, I saw it yesterday too, and loved it. I liked the ending because it left things open. Viggo was great and I loved William Hurt's brief performance. "Jesus, Joey."

A History of Violence: 9/10 Starts with a nice satire of the "modern happy rural family" style, and takes an intense turn. Includes the most uncomfortably brutal sex scene I've seen in film and a great over-the-top performance by William Hurt. Capote: 9/10 Tremendous performance by Hoffman, not only for capturing Capote's voice and mannerisms but for really going deep into Capote's change of emotion towards Perry and the decisions he had to make in regards to the book. Really great stuff.

The problem with a lot of these places is now they're trying to include everything on their menu. In fact, I went to a Friendly's for the first time in forever this past weekend and saw their menu now includes all of these pastas and salads and even steak. If I go to Friendly's, I'm getting either a BLT or grilled cheese and some ice cream. Stick to what you know, guys.

I worked at Friday's for two years and fucking hated it. This might just be because of the managers in the Naples branch, because they were always on a crazy ego trip. Plus, I only got a 25% discount on meals. And because they view themselves as a more formal restaurant than they actually are (I mean come on, it's Friday's), they're obsessed with having hosts always at the door greeting people. So, on a busy night, about 4 hosts are scheduled, along with two bussers. And all six people share a lousy 2% tipshare from the servers. Not worth it. And the food really is hit or miss. My suggestion? Don't get the Double-stack quesadillas.

Nice! TNT/ELM was what got me into the SWF in the first place.

Also: while missing Wilco's swing through Florida this weekend, I have heard "A Shot in the Arm" live and it is indeed excellent. Thanks, myspace! -

My favorite Tobias/Lucille moment (of the few) is from the Maggie episodes in season 2. Tobias goes on a spiel about how Lucille is in denial about Buster going into the army. Lucille: "You're a worse psychiatrist than you are a son-in-law and you will never get work as an actor because you have no talent." -
Oh man, this is great:
