Now that's uncalled for. And, to be fair, weird pictures & emoticons were brand new. I think I got about 20 people asking me where I found them. To tell you the truth, I thought I was on top of the world...! I was also 14. -
My favorite (okay, my only) ska album that I own. I still like it, though. Goldfinger - Hang-Ups (1997) Superman - 9 My Head - 8 If Only - 5 This Lonely Place - 9 20-Cent Goodbye - 8 Question - 7 Disorder - 7 Carlita - 6 Too Late - 7 I Need to Know - 7 Authority - 8 S.M.P. - 3 (I don't really know what this is doing on the album) The Last Time - 7 Chris Cayton - First Part: 5; Second Part: 7; 30 minutes of dead air: not cool. See, it's consistent. And that's good.

It's the first Wire song I've listened to. Now I crave more. It really is outstanding.

Snow Patrol (Final Straw, at least) far exceeded my expectations. I'm digging this CD.

Earth blows up along with the rest of the universe when a Tralfamadorian test pilot presses a starter button. Duh. -

A cool little incident that happened in the Costco parking lot one day. -
Wishful thinking, of course. oh, and the guy who played Max Baer, Craig Bierko, gave a standout performance, too. Played the cocky asshole card perfectly. People in the theater were audibly jeering him.
-
Well, that was painless.
-
New Order is my favorite band that I've only heard a handful of songs from. (Slint doesn't count).
-
I like how you can hide sections. Goodbye wrestling folders. Excellent.

I don't know if it was creative license or what, but in All the President's Men, Howard Simmons gave him that moniker. Ben Bradlee: Where's the goddamn story? Bob Woodward: The money's the key to whatever this is. Ben Bradlee: Says who? Howard Simons: Deep Throat. Ben Bradlee: Who? Howard Simons: Oh, that's Woodward's garage freak; his source in the executive department. Ben Bradlee: Garage Freak? Jesus, what kind of a crazy fucking story is this? Who did you say? Howard Simons: He's on deep background, I call him deep... throat.

In the past few days: All the President's Men - 9/10 Very enjoyable, with a great script and rapid-fire pace. Robert Redford was really good. The Aviator - 9/10 Even better the second time around. The crash sequence and the Senate hearings are so good. Every actor did great here, from Leo to John C. Reilly to Cate Blanchett and Alec Baldwin (who has one of the best uses of "fuck." I've seen) and Alan Alda, I loved it. The way of the future. The Godfather Part II - 10/10 Much better than the first. The inclusion of De Niro playing a young Vito was my favorite part, and makes me want to watch the first again. I loved Duvall's character, and "It was you, Fredo" is just...man. Wonderful movie.
