Apocalypse Now Redux 7/10 The overall package (cinematography, sound) was great, but some parts of the film were just lacking. If it had just been the regular cut of the movie I probably would've rated it higher, considering most of the parts I disliked were Redux-exclusive (the French plantation, the Playmate affair); they just made the movie drag. In defense of the Redux, it was great to see more of Robert Duvall's awesome Kilgore character, and the funeral for Clean was well done. "Charlie don't surf!"

Overwhelmingly bad reviews, the length, its R-rating, lack of interest in the subject material...I've heard all of them so far.

The entire CD is glorious. "Purple Rain"/"My 1st Song" is sheer brilliance.

I was only really interested in seeing it because of Val Kilmer. And the fact that it's about Alexander the Great, of course. But seeing all of the negative reviews really turned me off of it. Shame, really.

Now, I haven't listened to the Grey Album yet, but I don't see how you can top this.

10/10 Best movie I've seen in a long time. The performances, the writing, the direction...I loved every single second of it.

Unless I'm being deceived by the Target ad, you can get Buffy season 7 for $17.77 tomorrow. Hot.

"Dirve" reminds me of a shirt I saw someone wearing at a math competition. It said "Alcohol and math don't mix. Don't drink and derive." ...okay, so it was funny at the time.

Well, Best Buy has the CD for $7.99 on Friday, so I'll be getting it then. I can't wait to listen to it.

8/10 Bloody, crass, excellent soundtrack, and a whole lotta love. Great movie.
