First impressions: I like it. I got nervous because the first song, "Kill or Be Killed," is a shitty overdramatic opener in the vein of "At the Bottom of Everything" from I'm Wide Awake It's Morning. But then "Four Winds" comes along and totally wins. Great great song. That, "I Must Belong Somewhere," "Lime Tree," and "Susan Miller Rag" make this a worthy purchase, even if some of the songs sound a little samey. I'm sure it'll grow on me like I'm Wide Awake did.

Bright Eyes - Cassadega I'll give it a listen tomorrow. I hope "No One Would Riot For Less" is just a lame exception.

Yeah, so the description of tonight's episode is pretty obvious: Apparently we're finally going to see the elusive Lester Roberts! Anyway, NBC has switched the order with the supersizing so Scrubs is on around 9:20ish, after The Office and 30 Rock.

The Sound and the Fury was so incredible. Certainly worth the confusion of the first two sections, and once I knew what was going on, I did not hesitate to re-read everything. The overattention to detail, where even the smallest anecdote in the stream-of-consciousness style means something, is astounding. I need more Faulkner, now. I have As I Lay Dying at home but I'll have to wait until the summer to get started on it. Now I'm on Pale Fire, up through the poem itself. Inc, you're right, I'm loving it so far. Kinbote is a wonderful prick.

Yeah, definitely watching next week.

Music Library! Ryan Adams - Heartbreaker Old 97's - Satellite Rides iTunes! A new version of Joshua Radin's "Only You," mixed by Imogen Heap. It's really neat. I pre-ordered Bright Eyes' new album Cassadaga, and it came with a free single, "No One Would Riot for Less." And it's a little disappointing. Overproduced for Oberst. I hope the rest of the album isn't like that.

Oh what a fucking great episode. First off, Braff gets mad props for using a Brett Dennen song. Second, Boobie Horn. Third, Janitor's "that's a funny story," and the cut-away look, oh wait, he's just looking at the tree. And finally CLIFFHANGER oh man. I love this show.
