    When TV Shows get Serious

Yeah, I was gonna mention this one. Great TV. How about WKRP- the station staff deals with the kids who were trampled at the Who fiasco at Riverfront Stadium. And then they had to deal with their pedophile boss... The "Whits only" episode of Family Ties. I remember a Mr. Belvedere when the youngest son's classmate had AIDS. The Punky Brewster Challenger episode. OH, and when Cheri locked herself in a fridge. Not William Perry though, some other Fridge. Silver Spoons- the family went hunting and Ricky capped a deer. Sad stuff. Facts of Life- Natalie learns that fat girls need to put out to keep their men around. Did Wonder Years count as a comedy? There are a ton of VSEs there. When someone kidnapped the red headed stepchild on Diff'rent Strokes. (Was this Gordon Jump again?) The post-Phil Hartman era of NewsRadio. Good Times when the dad died. Damn it, damn it!!!!!! Sorry some of those shows are really old, ya whippasnappas.

    Morgan Freeman: I'm joining the

I'd like to know this also nl5xsk1. What you posted before didn't make a lick of sense to me. We must know totally different "skinheads", or we are thinking of a totally different thing. Historically, the first skinheads came around in the mid-60's, and were working class stiffs (think dock workers or factory workers) that hated the rich & the middle class, hated the government, hated the hippies of the time, etc. They were pretty much an offshoot of the whole Jamaican Rude Boy/UK mod scene, and their style of dress & music were both affected by this; for example, reggae & ska were the music of choice. The biggest thing, though, was that they were COMPLETELY non-racist. They, in fact, were more likely to be hanging with the Jamaican immigrants (who were also working class) than anyone white. The 70's brought about the beginning of hooliganism and the origin of the "angry skinhead", and this, naturally I guess, segued to the racist (RAC) skinheads of the 1980s (think Tom Metzger and his idiot followers throwing chairs at Geraldo). Sadly, the US pretty much never enjoyed a non-Racist skin scene ... but there were a few of us that were DEFINITELY non-Racist skins, called S.H.A.R.P.s (SkinHeads Against Racial Prejudice). Most S.H.A.R.P. skins DETEST the RAC, or boneheads. Wow, that was a lot more than I thought I'd write. Sorry if it's boring. It's just that I was S.H.A.R.P. (that still dresses in a "skinhead style" occasionally today) that was always pissed whenever people automatically assumed that I was a racist. And I guess I got on a roll. EDIT: The wikipedia definition is much better than mine .... but I will warn you that the skinheadz.com link on the bottom is a RAC farce that gets shit on by any real skin. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Skinhead Let's grab a beer at the Cambridgeport Saloon.

Nah, the series would be 1-1. give Mr. Big Boned at least a 2-1 St Louis edge before he jumps off the Sox bandwagon.

Boston may ban alcohol during World Series

She was off to the side, with friends near a sausage cart. Someone behind her threw a bottle at the mounted police, the horses got spooked and they fire the non-lethal (sic) pellets at Snelgrove and essentially ended her life on Landesdowne Street. The Boston Herald, without even a hint of class, published photos of the poor girl dying, with blood streaming from her eye socket and nose. This whole episode has really bothered me. Frigging drunk idiots, most of whom aren't even native New Englanders creating chaos for an event they really have no appreciation for. I bet most of the fucks couldn't even tell you who is the centerfielder for the Sox.

Awesome news Hartfan. Please though, do not get involved with any of the foolish behavior that might occur after the game and leave a pockmark on the city's already tattered rep. Oh, and post a message on craigslist saying you have tickets. Maybe some hot chick will bang you for one, if you have an extra.
