I went down to North Station Tuesday and saw the Free Speech protest pen. Just my luck, as I get there, the Kansas-based God Hates Fags family was there spewing out hatred and holding up signs like "Demofags" "Boston = Sodom" and "9/11, Gift from God." The people who stayed to heckle these clowns surged towards the stage and the head guy (wearing a cowboy hat and Priest Holmes jersey) yelled out to the cops: "Officer, there's a riot, there's a riot officer!" Gee really? It was like a bad wrestling show. First you call us a bunch of Sodomites, and then adding insult to injury, some of the hate-mongers wore Yankees hats!!! What the hell, they were just asking to start a riot! Seriously though, other than that, everyone seemed well behaved, save for yesterday's semi-melee. Most of the protesting was being done a half-mile away at the Boston Common. A lot of the protesters boycotted the kennel for obvious reasons. The most noise was yesterday with an anti-war march that went from Copley Square to North Station, resulting in the three or so arrests yesterday.
