That would be Boise State and they're going to beat Hawaii's rainbow-colored asses.

Yes they are beatable. But I'm saying that for the National Championship OU is coming with there work boots on and Jason White's going to be on top of his game the entire game. OU won't run up the score and then lay down like they may do in the Big XII. They'll score at every possible opportunity. That 77 points they had against A&M may just happen again. Now I'm sure USC or LSU wouldn't have 0 points but I'm saying that OU really IS that good. And they really are the best team in the country. And that if they are there and trying harder than they ever have...it'll take a damn miracle to beat them. The emphasis on that is that they did it against Texas A&M... This season, that's like saying you did that against Louisiana Tech or Louisiana-Monroe considering how bad A&M's defense is. LSU put up 49 by halftime against Lousiana Tech then pulled all the starters to keep from running up the score more than they needed to. The real question Oklahoma has is whether their vaunted offense can stand up to a good defense, as they had serious trouble with a Bama team that wasn't NEARLY as good as people thought it would be. Facing a defense equal to their own may frustrate them to the point that they make bad decisions and literally throw the game away.

The reason that Georgia's being dismissed is that their offense will have trouble unless their linemen suddenly get better overnight. It's hard for their quarterback to throw when he's knocked on his ass, which is what happened for 90% of the Georgia-LSU game early in the season. On top of that, the LSU offense is really clicking at the moment. The only two bad offensive games they've had all year were Florida (loss) and Ole Miss (close win), and I'd blame part of the Ole Miss troubles on bad field position, which allowed Ole Miss to go up early due to an INT thrown by Mauck deep in LSU territory and frustrated them all night. BTW- If the only available BCS bid is in the Orange Bowl against Miami, Tennessee is completely screwed because they played, and beat, Miami about a month ago. No one likes to see rematches from earlier in the season in their bowl games, let alone ones as lopsided as that one was.

Miami's got an automatic bid. The question's whether Tennessee can get an At Large over Texas or Ohio State and I think the answer is no. BCS Bowl predictions- Rose- Michigan vs. USC Fiesta- Texas vs. Fl. State Orange- Miami vs. Ohio State Sugar- Oklahoma vs. LSU

NBC only has the rights to Notre Dame home games. I'm assuming that ABC has broadcast rights to the Big (L)East.

Stolich is being unfairly run off, but Nebraska isn't a program that can live with just being above .500 and, as people can tell, neither is Auburn. They'll come to realize how good a coach they might have run off when the next guy struggles to hit .500 with Stolich's recruits.

Why? What's the story behind this? The Bayou Classic is always held during the first or second week of the I-AA playoffs, so there's no point in scheduling either team to compete in them.
  8. Besides the That Damn Good and Rock: Just Bring It DVDs, my Walgreens also had the following quality titles: Triple H: The Game (Flair-Steamboat) Summerslam 2001 (Austin-Angle) No Mercy 2001 (Rock-Jericho) Steve Austin: What
  9. I think it was a Black Friday sale, Black Friday being the day after Thanksgiving and the biggest shopping day of the year.
  10. Picked up "Triple H- That Damn Good" and "The Rock- Just Bring It: Special Edition" for $5.99 each. It's worth it to get the Trips-Jericho Last Man Standing match from Fully Loaded 2000 and to upgrade my current version of JBI to the two-disc SE. (I get about $7-9+ in trade credit at Wherehouse for a 3 for 1 tradein, so it's worth the $5.99 cost)

I'll clarify my position- 1. Southern and Grambling are both I-AA teams, which means most people don't care about them to begin with. 2. Because of the Bayou Classic, neither is eligible to compete in the I-AA playoffs, which makes it even less interesting unless you want to see the bands play at halftime (they're damn good, too) or have a taste for SWAC football. Southern-Grambling may be a tradition, but so is Navy-Army and I'm not watching THAT fucking game either.

I live in Baton Rouge, home of Southern, and I can safely say that no white people care about the game unless they're related to the players or are scouting them for the NFL. I know the game is a tradition but they might want to consider moving it up before the I-AA playoffs start so they can make money AND send teams to the playoffs in addition to the Heritage Bowl.

I'm pretty sure there are Navy bases in Texas. As for Louisiana, I don't think so although there are Army bases (Ft. Polk) and Air Force bases (Barksdale AFB). There are a lot of naval contractors in the area though.

NM... was thinking that a lot of the teams who lost to MAC teams ended up being horribly overrated coughBAMAcough.

I'm not sure it's them being a low draw as much as getting embarassed by a MAC team (Marshall). The only BCS-conference team I can think of who lost to a MAC team but is still getting a good bowl is Pitt, who lost to Toledo.

Depends on whether the BCS makes the correct choice about OU's last opponent. If USC loses to OU yet LSU destroys Michigan or vice versa, there may be some prejudice against OU because of factors outside of their control. They're a hella-powerful team without question, though. I just think that there's two games left before their ranking on the all-time list should be discussed and it's not because I'm an LSU fan. Look at how far teams like Virginia Tech and Miami have fallen from late October, when they were both undefeated. OU could still collapse, as unlikely as it sounds.

Ohio State's position in the BCS is tenuous at best. The way things are looking, both Texas and an SEC East runner-up (probably Tennessee) could finish the season in the Top 6 of the BCS, thus getting automatic invites and shutting out Ohio State if they're #7 or higher. The Golden Gophers better not plan on getting a decent bowl. Granted, Ohio State is #5 at the moment but sudden movement in the computer polls or strength of schedule could erode that from their current 14.57 to a 15.08 or higher, enough to be out of automatic contention.

I'd say the only team who REALLY got it piled on by Oklahoma was Texas A&M, but that's because they absolutely suck. I'm guessing that Stoops told the benchwarmers to REALLY take it easy on Baylor the next week.

    WWE DVD release schedule

I don't know... I think the TNT bit with Hogan making "health shakes" using "python powder" was a great bit of camp. They should have left off some of the BS like the Puerto Rico matches though.

    WWE DVD release schedule

The schedule for PPV releases on DVD from today onwards: Dec. 16 - Survivor Series Jan. 20- Armageddon The Rock's Greatest Hits (this is a new one on me) Feb. 10- Best of Confidential 2 Rise and Fall of WCW (I guess we SHOULD have seen THIS name change coming. This was titled "The Monday Night Wars" at one point.) Feb. 24- Royal Rumble Mar. 2- Kurt Angle Apr. 27- Wrestlemania XX Divas in Mexico May 2004- Backlash June 2004- Judgment Day I know that The Rock is popular, but does he need his FOURTH DVD?!? (He has People's Champ, Just Bring It, Just Bring It SE (extra matches), and at least one old WWF home video ported to DVD) This DVD better contain a bunch of good Rock matches that are NOT already on DVD, such as the Rock-Trips match from Backlash, the Iron Man match from Judgment Day, some of his TV matches, etc.

    Randy Orton

Well, it depends on whether or not the match is in Canada. Maybe it's mean but does RVD have a real problem getting over in the south? He's over like rover in the NYC/ATLANTIC Coast-Midwest/West Coast scene but he doesn't seem to be all that over in Florida or those areas... RVD rules the school in Louisiana. It does help that they used to tour there often with ECW. As for Florida, I'd think the same thing would apply there because ECW worked Florida for about 6 years by the time they went under, although they probably burned out the towns.

The same reason that no one wants to go to the Humanitarian Bowl in Idaho... No matter how you feel on the field, they're fucking FREEZING once they leave the stadium. Besides that, you have to worry about transit because airports and streets can get snowed in.

    Randy Orton

Jesus Christ, I'm not saying that Orton is the perfect promo man! I'm pointing out that OTHER now-great promo guys made mistakes in their rookie years. So Orton is allowed to fuck up a few times without you guys writing him off. Man, read what I am actually saying before you attempt to make a point. Read my point: Too much, too soon. If he's pushed to the moon now and no one cares, his career is damaged until he pulls a miracle out of his ass or a whole new generation of fans show up. I'm not saying he doesn't have potential, but that and two quarters will get you a cup of coffee unless your name is Luger. He needs experience and to be brought along at his OWN speed, not the speed Vince dictates.

    Randy Orton

Oh really? See Maivia, Rocky. Yep, he turned out to be QUITE the loser. The problem is they're trying to create another Rock instead of just doing what's best for Randy. Creating a Rock to begin with was an accident... trying to recreate what happened is flirting with disaster unless they kid excels tremendously in the ring or on the mic, which he hasn't shown yet. The only mic work Orton's really gotten over with was the RNN stuff.
