And the Cowboys put the ball on the turf during the return, but recover it.

HENDERSON 42 YARDS FOR A TD!
-
Onside kick Saints recover. The student is teaching the master tonight.
-
THREE TDs for Mike fuckin' Karney tonight. Goddamn, this is one wacky game.
-
Friggin' sweet pass from Brees to Henderson goes about 50 yards to the goalline.

The #'s are pre Katrina if that makes any difference..its the latest #'s I could find from 2005. Baton Rouge is listed at 310,000 Katrina seriously skews those numbers. New Orleans' market got much smaller while the Baton Rouge and Houston markets got larger. Baton Rouge and the surrounding suburbs (Gonzales, Watson, Denham Springs, Zachary, Baker, etc.) have absorbed a lot of people who were displaced by Katrina. It ain't over yet, but give it another Saints drive or two... The Saints have had an overwhelming advantage in T.O.P. this whole game, so they can stretch things out on the ground and make it so that Dallas has trouble making up 11+ points in the time they have left.
-
BTW, those New Orleans market numbers have got to be overstated... NO's current population is about 200,000. Baton Rouge's in-city population is about 250,000 while the suburbs add probably another 300,000 or so.

61 yard TD pass from Brees to Bush. Brees has got to be getting back on his pace to put up 5000 yards this year...
-
TO should be subject to those NBA rules about lobbying the officials for a penalty... Mike McKenzie's "taunting" was probably telling TO "knock that shit off... it was NOT pass interference."
-
Gramatica goes wide right. Anyone else want to see another Brees Hail Mary like against Atlanta?
-
Jamal Jones TD catch with 44 seconds left. 21-7 Saints (Jones is in because Marques Colston came off the field earlier with an injury)
-
Official review of the Saints' catch came before the Saints spiked the ball on the next play, so this will be held up to see if it's overturned and declared a dropped pass. Pass ruled incomplete, but The Tuna gets an Unsportsmanlike Conduct for throwing the challenge flag within the last 2 minutes of the half.
-
Shit... Marques Colston's ankle appears to be turned 90 degrees in the wrong direction. False alarm, just a cramped calf/ankle.
-
Bush makes a hell of a gain on a busted play, as Brees was looking to dump the ball off any way he could and Bush took advantage of his blockers.
-
KerSACK on Romo by Will Smith, who's gettin' jiggy with it tonight.
-
Karney catches a TD pass. This is one messed up game. Rob, not even MIKE KARNEY has Mike Karney on his fantasy team. He's been primarily a blocker his whole career in New Orleans.
-
That was fast... The Saints just intercepted Romo and will have the ball on the Cowboys 30.
-
The Cowboys score in short order, but the Saints eat up 13 minutes of clock putting up their response. The question now becomes "Can the Saints stop the Cowboys rushing game?"
-
Depends on what your criteria is for MVP. If it's "Most valuable player in the league", it's LT because he can do everything. If it's "Most valuable player to his team", I'd say it's Drew Brees because he's the main reason that New Orleans went from 3-13 to currently 8-4 and a likely NFC South title.

"Official" answer- Because the Big 12 is down this year while the Big East has three 10-win teams REAL answer- ESPN has rights to the Big East but not the Big 12, same reason they talk up the Big 10 and Pac 10 and not the SEC, which plays its big games on CBS instead of ESPN or ABC.

The Giants have sewed up their first win in a long time, beating the Panthers. This makes for a three-way tie between the Giants, Eagles, and Falcons for the 2 playoff spots.
-
The Saban is exhibiting his Divine Powers in doing so.
-
Depends on the tiebreakers, Chris. On top of that, there's a good chance Indy drops at least one more the way they played today, getting gashed on the ground and dropping a lot of passes on offense.

I'm sure whatever they do will make that Atlanta player getting busted with a hooker and having to be bailed out before the Super Bowl look like nothing.

Arizona State hired Dennis Erickson to head their football team, luring him away from Idaho after just one year. Idaho made some comments to the effect of "If we knew he'd bolt so soon, we wouldn't have bothered." Erickson has a record of success wherever college he goes, but he also has a habit of jumping regularly to new jobs. However, his previous record of success at Oregon State, a program that was DOA when he arrived, should hopefully give the Arizona State faithful reason to think they can challenge USC next season.
