That's crap, Mascot. I'm not sure anyone involved in this would take Clarett period and giving them Clarett as a punishment just defeats the whole purpose of this draft anyway because it means someone had a throwaway pick instead of choosing someone they really needed. If you're so intent on someone drafting that dumbfuck, take him with one of YOUR picks.

Goddamn, I retook the lead... wasn't expecting that. I'd forgotten I'd even picked Wisconsin to make it to the Elite 8 and I was scared that Kentucky would lose to Utah.
-
2 for 2 tonight... Let's see Oklahoma State put down the Wildcats so I can max it out at 3 of 4. (Texas Tech knocked out Gonzaga, so I can't score in the Tech-West Virginia game)

Whoa, bro. I agree that Deuce needs a stellar backup because he has had some nagging ankle/foot injuries in the past couple of seasons, but taking a RB in the first round for us? Man, I don't care if Benson, Brown, or Williams were all on the board for us.. that we be crazy. This draft really is RB-deep... just like last year's draft was WR-deep. You can wait until the 3rd or 4th round and I still think you will get a decent backup for Deuce. I meant the *defensive* backfield, not a running back. See the addendum to my previous message.

Pffft. Shaun Cody or Anttaj Hawthorne well have been a nice pick as well. James, Cody/Hawthorne, Udeze, and Kevin Williams for a defensive line? Very young and raw, but that's still a lot of talent. I just feel it was a bit of a reach for Webster. And, I've been wanting secondary help ever since we traded up and drafted (up to this point and I don't see it changing) a bust in Jonathan Sullivan.. fuckin' fatty. I like Thomas Davis because if we can't use him in the secondary, he could easily play an OLB for us which we need as well. If I would have taken a CB, it would have been Carlos Rogers instead of Webster -- I just find him to be the better prospect, IMO. My problem was that I was trying to pick from the guys who were left over after my top choices (Pac Man, Rolle, Barron, etc) were all off the board. I agree it was a stretch for Webster but I wasn't seeing anyone else that really jumped ahead of him on the O-line or in the backfield. Hell, I'd been tempted to go with the best available player but that was a HUGE lose-lose situation for the Saints, as the best available player appeared to be either Mark Clayton (WR) or Cadillac Williams (RB), which are both positions that the Saints are pretty stacked at.

I've already heard enough "Cadillac should be upgraded to Escalade" jokes for one lifetime after this past SEC season...

And with the 16th pick of the draft, the New Orleans Saints choose... Corey Webster, CB, LSU The Saints are in dire need of a good cornerback to shut down the opponent's passing game. Webster is a good choice because he has great hands, excellent instincts for his position, can protect on the run, and is larger than the average CB. Considering that the Saints defense needs all the help it can get, a draft pick with Webster's instincts lurking in the backfield (he nearly set the LSU career record for INTs) could be the difference between another .500 season and the playoffs.

Holy fuck... Didn't even look at the overall TSM Picks Group standings until now and found out I'm on top. This is mainly because I made a few questionable picks that paid off, like West Virginia over Wake Forest, Wisconsin over Kansas (actually, Bucknell), and NC State over UConn. I've lost some of my Elite 8 teams (Florida, Gonzaga, Syracuse) and one Final Four team (Florida) but, overall, I'm in good shape because most of the teams I picked to go far (Illinois, Kentucky, Louisville) seem to be doing fine.

LSU's back within 10 and there's 1:22 left... Hopefully UAB keeps hitting jack-shit at the line.
-
LSU is slowly pulling themselves back into the game, but they may not finish it up within the last 4 minutes if they keep doing stupid shit like travelling.
-
6 of 8 right so far... missed UW Milwaukee and Pacific. I didn't have Alabama or Pitt moving to the Sweet 16, so it's only a 2 point loss so far. Remaining games tonight: I've got LSU (naturally), Wake, Waste Virginia, Gonzaga, Texas Tech, Arizona, Illinois, and Texas for my remaining games tonight.
-
I'll do 4 rounds for the 'Aints.
-
The all-time champ of this shit has to be Cecil "The Diesel" Collins, a former RB for LSU and the Miami Dolphins, who would break into womens' apartments and, when they'd get upset, would yell "You know who I am?!?" at them. Last I heard, the dumbfuck was doing time at The Glades down in Florida.
-
All I'll say is that a lot of the people bitching about KKK tend to be the same ones upset when Failed Mascot got booted for making similar comments a few months back.
-
I figure this won't stand long... Something tells me this one will get fast-tracked to the Ninth Circuit, upheld, then overturned by the US Supreme Court, most likely by a technicality because they're a bunch of pussies these days.

LSU has a decent shot at the Sweet Sixteen... UAB doesn't exactly scare me as a first round team and LSU has had Arizona's number for much of the past 5-6 years. Past that, it would be pretty hard road because they'd be facing probably Oklahoma State (one of the better 2 seeds) and Illinois (the #1 seed of the whole tourney), although Texas or BC could also come out of the top half of the bracket.
-
I think #21 is the only one of the three to get a release in the US, although it was near the end of the console's life.
-
I may not win but I think that my boys (LSU) will be primed for a Sweet Sixteen run depending on their bracket assignment. Considering they're going into the tourney winning 7 out of their last 8, with that loss being in OT to Kentucky by 2 in the SEC Tournament, that's pretty damn good. (Before LSU pulled off their turnaround earlier this year, Kentucky beat them by 20 or 30 points.) They're probably looking at a 5-seed, give or take a level depending on other teams' performances.

Come on, it's Doom--easily one of the top 5 most influencial games (as far as mainstream attention) of the past 15 years. Sounds more like something up PWSA's alley. At least his movies tend to pull in a respectable profit. Non-gamers likely never heard of the AitD or HotD games, but Doom? Of course they have. Mainstreamers have heard of Myst... doesn't mean that a Myst movie will be worth a shit or make any money. Super Mario Bros. and Street Fighter both proved that one.

More reason NOT to adapt fucking video games into movies... Just about the only crossover successes have been Tron and Mortal Kombat, the former being given a story that fit the game and the later already having a story adapted / ripped off from Enter The Dragon. The rest of the adaptations (Mario, Resident Evil, MK2: Annihilation, Street Fighter, House Of The Dead, Alone In The Dark, etc.) have been the drizzling shits. The sad thing is that Rock has already signed up to do ANOTHER game-to-movie translation, Spy Hunter. At least that one will pretend to have a storyline.

Which reminds me... Who has she dated besides David Flair and Test? I know I'm missing at least one name in there somewhere. -
27/40 and counting... It appears most of the ones I'm missing are from the latter end of the system's life, when I'd moved on to the Genesis instead.

The launch titles were Super Mario 64 and Pilotwings 64. GoldenEye wasn't reelased until the system had been out in North America for a full year. OK, I misstated things a bit... Goldeneye was still one of the only games worth the $70 cost within the first year or so of the system. (Wave Race, Mario Kart, and Mario 64 were closer to $50-60 because Nintendo could control their costs better) Most of the other shit shoveled out around that time like Killer Instinct Gold, War Gods, and Crusin' USA aren't even worth picking up out of the N64 bargain-bin.
