TOUCHDOWN MOTHERFUCKER~! Alley Broussard in da hizz-ouse!
-
The Saban looks like he's about to lose his cool... Tough-fought contest where few things seem to be going LSU's way.
-
Jesus Christ, WTF was that?!? Fucking hell...
-
812 yards combined in the Liberty Bowl and Louisville wins 44-40. One game away from a clinch, BAYBEE~!

For the millionth time: margin of victory is no longer factored into the BCS. Only the AP and Coaches Poll can take that into account. None of the computer rankings use margin of victory. For The Millionth Time part II... Cal played Southern Miss (USM, University of Southern Mississippi) and NOT Ole Miss (UM, University of Mississippi). USM alum (2002)

I think we're going to hear another round of whining a la Kansas State in 1998 and Texas in 2003... "We played like shit and got exposed because we didn't get a shot at the big dance! We could have beaten a much better team than the midcarder who whipped our asses if we were motivated!"

The three I've ordered recently are the Mick Foley shoot, the Midnight Express shoot (Bobby Eaton and Dennis Condrey, not Eaton and Stan Lane), and the Jim Cornette "Secrets Of The Ring" interview. The only one I've watched yet is the Cornette one (naturally) and, instead of stories, it's more of an explanation of how to properly do wrestling psychology. A lot of it involves things that Cornette himself admits are elementary, such as finding ways to sell an upcoming match (repeat the date of the match over and over again in the promo) to ways to get the crowd behind you by using interesting language (just plan "You're a liar" vs. "You're as truthful as a "Get Well" card from an undertaker!") If and when I get through those, I'm probably going to get the new Steve Corino shoot, the Fantastics shoot, the One Man Gang shoot, the Butch Reed shoot, the Dr. Tom Pritchard shoot, the Mr. Fuji shoot, and the Lex Luger shoot. Those are the ones I'd have decent hopes for. I'm also considering the Curtis Hughes shoot for sheer camp value, as he supposedly talks about how being black kept him down and that it didn't have anything to do with his drug habits, his shitty ring-work, and his downright horrible attitude. (Hughes' bad behavior has been covered in the past by Mick Foley, Gary Cappetta, Tod Gordon, Ken Shamrock and others through books and shoots, so I'm not sure too much will shock me but it would probably be an interesting read for most people)

I've got newer shoots to review but it's a matter of sitting down and reviewing them. At this point, it's getting into the frame of mind where I can sit down, watch one straight through, then get it ready with minimal trouble. Considering one of the last ones I did was the godawful Keiji Mutoh / Kaz Hayashi doublebill with Muta's horrible Engrish, I'm having trouble getting enthusiastic enough to do one anytime soon.

ESPN, WAFB (the Baton Rouge CBS affiliate), and WBRZ (the Baton Rouge ABC affiliate) have all announced that Nick Saban will be taking the head coaching position of the Miami Dolphins next season. This has been huge news in my area, as I'm in Baton Rouge, the home of LSU, and there has been speculation all week about whether he'd take it, especially after Dolphins owner Wayne Huzinga (sp) flew down here yesterday to talk to Saban again. Now that the Saban chase is over, I'm wondering who the new LSU football coach will be. Offensive coordinator Jimbo Fisher is out of the hunt because the last time a successful coach left and one of his assistants took over, the program went into the toilet within 2-3 years. Top names being mentioned included Louisville coach Bobby Petrino and Auburn coach Tommy Tuberville, but both signed contract extentions with their schools recently. Another name that has surfaced repeatedly is former Cleveland Browns and Miami Hurricanes coach Butch Davis. I'm not sure who will end up getting it, but this may set off another round of coach-snatching across the country, as there have been a large number of coaches who supposedly sent out out feelers to LSU about taking the job if Saban left.

This doesn't surprise me much... Turley's a great player but he's known to be a serious hothead. He was run out of New Orleans because he had some serious problems with management. (Haslett, I think). Between him and Willie Roaf leaving town, there are some huge gaps in the Saints' O-Line now.
-
Actually, Michigan State told Saban not to let the door hit him on his way out. As for this time, he'll coach LSU at the Citrus Bowl but get extremely pissed in the meantime because everyone will want to talk about the Dolphins instead of the bowl game.

Agreed. LSU is returning 2 quality running backs (Justin Vincent and Alley Broussard), 5+ quality receivers (Dwayne Bowe, Craig "Buster" Davis, Amp Hill, Xavier Carter, Early Doucet), 2 highly rated QB recruits (JaMarcus Russell and Matt Flynn), and one of the best defenses in the country. In addition, next season will see LSU play most of their hardest games at home rather than on the road, including Florida, Auburn, and Tennessee. Whoever comes in will have the tools and the schedule to win a national title next year.

I only got one game, Mortal Kombat: Vengeance (Collector's Edition) for the X-Box.

Possible albums to get- 1. Symptom Of The Universe (2-disc Greatest Hits) This is a release covering the 1970-1978 era of the band. It contains great tracks like The Wizard, NIB, Paranoid, Iron Man, War Pigs, Fairies Wear Boots, Children Of The Grave, Snowblind, Changes, Tomorrow's Dream, Supernaut, Sabbath Bloody Sabbath, and Am I Going Insane (Radio). It's pretty much a 29-track version of the album listed below, We Sold Our Souls..., which only had 14 tracks. 2. We Sold Our Souls For Rock And Roll This is the ORIGINAL "Greatest Hits" album, which contains tracks from the self-titled album, Paranoid, Master Of Reality, Volume 4, Sabbath Bloody Sabbath, and Sabotage. This contains most tracks from the self-titled album (Black Sabbath, The Wizard, and NIB) and Paranoid (Iron Man, Paranoid, Fairies Wear Boots, War Pigs). This also contains some of the few good tracks from the other albums, including Am I Going Insane? (from Sabotage), Tomorrow's Dream and Snowblind (from Volume 4), Children Of The Grave (from Master Of Reality), and Sabbath Bloody Sabbath. 3. Paranoid This contains the 5 tracks listed above, which are all classics, as well as Electric Funeral, Rat Salad, and Hand Of Doom. GREAT album. 4. Black Sabbath (self-titled) This contains classic tracks NIB and The Wizard as well as other classic Sabbath. 5. Volume 4 This contains Changes, Tomorrow's Dream, Snowblind, and Supernaut as well as 6 other tracks. 6. Heaven And Hell This is the only non-Ozzy album by Sabbath that I feel is worth a crap. The best tracks are Children Of The Sea and Heaven And Hell.

Thank GOD! I reached my limit on Christmas Story after the first marathon 3 or 4 years ago where we watched that movie 3 times. Now I'll be able to get ahold of the remote and change it to the Lakers vs. Heat game...

Wow... Cincy has completely bitch-slapped Marshall. They've scored 22 unanswered points since the end of the first quarter and there's only about 3-4 minutes left in the game.
-
I loved it and thought it was great... but I also attended a religious HS that had a LOT of the Mandy Moore characters there.
-
When we get to the Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl in Buffalo, NY, they'll have officially reached a new low.
-
I think this effectively came back as the Silicon Valley Bowl in the last few years...
-
I picked it up from Target tonight. I didn't realize how many of the great episodes were in that season... I thought that some of them like Homer The Vigilante and Boy Scoutz N' The Hood were in the sixth season instead.
-
Which just goes to prove my theory... the Big East completely sucks ass.
-
Maybe it was a nostalgia thing for her... wasn't her first role the girl in Kids who passed out and got fucked on-screen?
-
As an LSU fan, I think I can safely say... FUCK the AP! If the AP does pull out, things may get interesting, but they'll find a way to make things a little less controversial. It's not like they can fuck things up much worse anyway.
-
OK, his full picks are up, so you can post mine now.
