Bored's College Football Pick 'Em - Week 10

EDIT- Total for Marshall vs. Akron is 59 points. Louisville and Akron are the two winners so far. North Texas is currently leading Louisiana-Lafayette 17-3 in the 1st quarter.
  2. My personal favorite one of these so far was an anecdote about how the Arab youths in France muscle their way around and that, in one case, an older Muslim tried to stop them from hitting a middle-aged woman on a bus and was told "Back off, Jew." It just shows how this is is an ignorant thug thing more than anything else.

Do the Democrats need a makeover?

Crap, what was it -- was it during that scene when he was in the bar and they showed a picture of "Dookie-kakis"... Nah. I'm actually inspired to re-watch that masterpiece to hear it. -=Mike "Do you realize that because of you, this city is overrun by baboons?" "Well, isn't that the fault of the voters?" Your love of the Naked Gun movies redeems yourself in my eyes... See, we CAN find common ground! Attempted sexual assault with a CONCRETE DILDO?!? Okay, it was from the first movie, but still pretty damn funny.

Bored's College Football Pick 'Em - Week 10

Holy FUCK, Louisville's D sucks... Wimprine had 361 passing yards for tiebreaker #2.

    Bush's 2nd term cabinet

You better be fucking kidding me... If so, I *NEVER* want to see a file-sharing case go within 100 miles of the Supreme Court.

    Elizabeth Edwards has breast cancer

True, it was tasteless. Still doesn't change the fact that the man knew he'd lost, blocked all the networks but NBC and Fox from reporting it, and didn't admit it for another 12 hours.

One Day Left by Michael Moore

I think that quote-unquote "house nigga" Condi Rice should get a shot and smacking that fucking moron around... Funny how the Loony Loony Left is supposed to be so tolerant yet, when everything falls apart, they say more racist, sexist, and anti-gay things than Republicans ever do. Hell, Senator Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) pretty much blamed the entire city of San Francisco for Kerry losing the election.

    US to bomb Australia

I'm wondering how long it will take before the people of Vieques, Puerto Rico, start bitching about their jobs getting outsourced... Motherfuckers only bitched for 20 years about the testing range and then, when it closed, they bitched about how all the jobs dried up.

Newsweek's story on the Kedwards campaign...

They accused Bush of having Karl Rove run a covert smear campaign against McCain, including race-baiting, gay-baiting, etc. If it wasn't for "Karl Rove did it!" replacing "Not me!" as the mysterious ghost who does everything wrong at the Family Circus house, people might actually take the accusations seriously.

Do the Democrats need a makeover?

True, BigJig, but the party leadership is overwhelmingly leftist. Unless a centrist gets both popular support and financial support going into Iowa and New Hampshire, they'll be drowned out in favor of someone who reflects the values of their leadership... overly leftist Democrats from New England or the West Coast. Evan Baigh of Indiana has been brought up as a centrist because he just got re-elected with about 70% support, but something tells me he isn't a party favorite.

Do the Democrats need a makeover?

The only reason Terry's still around, I figure, is because he's buddies with the Clintons and Hillary, as of now at least, has to be considered the frontrunner for a 2008 nomination. Otherwise, his ass would have been gone by like, TODAY. He may not be around for long... After the abortions that were the 2002 mid-term elections and the 2004 Presidential, House, and Senate elections, Terry may be joining Daschle in the unemployment line and Nancy Pelosi may get told to "shut the fuck up and go sit in the corner."

    Bush's 2nd term cabinet

Possibilities mainly because they're Republicans in Congress from Republican-controlled states: Senator Mitch McConnell of Kentucky (Sec. of Labor Elaine Chao's husband and current Majority Whip) Senator Thad Cochran of Mississippi (One of the leaders of the Agriculture Committee in the Senate) Senator Kay Bailey Hutchinson of Texas (Republican Conference Secretary of the Senate, former Texas Treasurer) Senator Lamar Alexander of Tennessee (Former Secretary of Education, Tennessee Governor, candidate for President in 1996) Senator John Cornyn of Texas (Former justice on the Texas Supreme Court, former Texas Attorney General) Senator John Warner of Virginia (Former Undersecretary of the Navy, chairman of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence) Senator Orrin Hatch of Utah (Just get this idiot out of the Senate and into a position where he can't screw anything up)

    Bush's 2nd term cabinet

So do I, partially because he'll be under the White House's thumb and it could interfere with his plans to run in 2008.

    Bush's 2nd term cabinet

People who may not be around for long: 1. Colin Powell (may retire) 2. Condi Rice (may go back to teaching) 3. John Ashcroft (health concerns) 4. Donald Rumsfeld (may retire) 5. Norman Minetta (Clinton appointee who's supposedly fucked up Transportation badly) 6. Tom Ridge (badly burned out) Rice, Powell, and Rumsfeld could stick around, but I wouldn't be surprised to see all three go over the next year or two. Pool of replacements and possible position- 1. Rudy Giuliani (Attorney General) 2. John McCain (Secretary of Defense) 3. Ambassador to the UN John Danforth (Secretary of State) 4. General Tommy Franks (Secretary of Defense) 5. Secretary of Labor Elaine Chao (Never wanted to be over Labor, so she may try to shift positions) 6. Senator Fred Thompson of Tennessee (Veteran senator who's been retired for the past few years)

The One and Only WWE Firing Thread.

Rico getting cut fucking blows... I hope that TNA or Ring Of Honor picks him up as he's great. Worst comes to worst, Cornette could get the WWE to hire him as a trainer in OVW. The only other one that shocks me a bit is Jazz, but I think her getting cut is partially due to her string of injuries.

    Elizabeth Edwards has breast cancer

Special K, it was Slapnuts that I was referring to. It wasn't that the comment in particular was in horrible taste as much as it was a cheap shot at Edwards over the situation. As for my comment about Kerry, Kerry was fair game at the time because he'd lost but wouldn't accept reality. The current news reports that he and his advisors basically threatened all the news outlets not call Ohio as Fox had done certainly hasn't made me respect him anymore.

    Elizabeth Edwards has breast cancer

And if not, John will surely sue for malpractice OK, keep it tasteful. Just because I was banning unhinged liberal trolls doesn't mean you can make fun of Elizabeth Edwards' illness. Arafat, however, is fair game.

    11 States ban gay marriage

Passing a Constitutional Amendment takes 2/3 of the House, 2/3 of the Senate, the President's approval, and the ratification of the amendment by 2/3 of the states. There are NOT enough Democrats in the House or Senate that would cross over to even get the Amendment to Bush's desk.
  19. My alma mater, in the heart of the south, has one of the top programs in polymer sciences anywhere in the world. "S-OU-THER-ENnnn Southern Mississippi... US EMMMM!"
  20. Some people would argue that Boston has a better set of schools, but the only two I have any respect for are MIT and Harvard. I'm not into Boston University, Boston College, UMASS, or and of the other 30 schools in the local area.

    11 States ban gay marriage

Off topic here, but if Eisenhower didn't run as a conservative, what exactly DID he run on? He ran against Adlai Freakin Stevenson Eisenhower himself said he wasn't a conservative. The first Republican to actually run as one was Goldwater. -=Mike Coincidentally enough, the LBJ campaign against Goldwater was one of the dirtiest of the century, with accusations that electing Goldwater would mean Mutually Assured Destruction. Anyone else seen the "daisy" ad by the LBJ campaign?
  22. OK, have fun with him. I may come back later and sweep up the remaining body parts.
  23. Keep it sane and logical or you'll join St. Gabriel Of Djibouti in the Whiny Bitch folder for trolling.
  24. We're having more fun with you disparaging yourself right now... Maybe in a week or two we'll change it.

Anyone else expecting to hear a news story about Moore getting locked in his car and eating himself to death?
