Name-dropping works up until the third one. At that point, he needs to answer the fucking question. When you spend 1/2 of your rebuttal name-dropping instead of talking policy, it's not good.

I take it you didn't read the articles on how AFL-CIO members across the nation were invading Bush-Cheney campaign HQs and causing havoc. As a civil servant, I can safely say that the cop had no leg to stand on about keeping his sign in his car. State and federal employees aren't allowed to display signs and/or stickers for or against a certain candidate. Even if this guy is a city cop, chances are that there's a "political activism" clause in his job description that says he's not allowed to take a stand that could be construed as government support or opposition to a candidate. If the other employees had Kerry signs and stickers in their cars, they should have been told to remove it or face disciplinary action.

As you'd guess, I intend the above to be for Michigan State... I'd had Illinois as my choice during my first run-through of the e-mail but I apparently didn't delete the close tag when I changed my pick to Michigan State.

LSU's problems go further back than Hallman... Charles MacClendon (Charlie Mac) was forced out at the end of the 1970s and his chosen replacement, Bo Rein, died in a plane crash before he ever coached a game. From there, former Tiger great Jerry Stovall took over for four uneven years. (Stovall was distracted because his wife had cancer at the time). From there, Bill Arnsbarger was THE MAN for two years but left the school with Mike Archer as the head coach. Archer did good with Arnsbarger's recruits, winning an SEC title in 1987 or 88, but was consistantly at .500 or below by the time he was fired. Hallman took over from there and, despite being written up as "the man who saved LSU football", took the program straight into the toilet, complete with a 2-9 record, the worst in school history.

I'm going to watch Caddyshack, Easy Money, and Back To School over the next few days in tribute. RIP
