I've always liked the Vikings throwbacks (even though there not that old). They should go back to those.
-
Well at least the Chargers lost.... I hate them, but what the fuck happened? This is basically the same team that went to AFC championship game sans Shawne Merriman.
-
Well the Raiders were who I thought they were. What a heartbreaking fumble by Fargas. I hate football sometimes.
-
Touchdown Raiders! All tied up. Now the Falcons need to hold on against the Chargers and we in a tie for second place! I can taste it!
-
I don't think I would want to go to Vegas with Tom Cable after this game.
-
Yeah, my jaw literally dropped after that. Wow, now is not the the time to be cute here guys.

I actually went to the Clippers game tonight with a couple of friends. Had great seats, near the foul line.Pretty good game, but the Clippers have no flow on offense at all. Of course I was there like many others to see D Wade. Too bad he had off night by his standards, because if he was on, the Clippers would have no chance. Michael Beasley had a sick game tonight. Zach Randolph never met a shot he didn't like to take, and I'm pretty sure Baron Davis is going to beat the shit of Mike Dunleavy one day.

To keep their hometown hero and the state's favorite son, I'm pretty sure the Cavs would pony up every cent and then some to keep LeBron around.

My thoughts on Lane Kiffin are well known, but with Saban, Nutt, Meyer, Miles, and to a lesser extent Spurrier (all except one have won national titles) all in the conference, it's really hard to see how Lane Kiffin could bring Tennessee back to being a national power anytime soon. I like USC and all, but looking back, Kiffin and Sarkissan had awesome talent (Bush, White, Leinart, Steve Smith, Jarret etc) that any coordinator worth a damn could have won with. And that was with Pete Carroll's recruits. You have no idea how he will recruit players, how he will handle the media, and will handle the pressure of being expected to compete for a national championship every season. Lane Kiffin has never been successful on his own accord, and his tenure on the Raiders (who should have never hired him the first place) was an unmitigated disaster for both sides. Looking back, it sucks what happened to him, but he didn't help out the situation with his smug comments to the media and flirting with college programs after his first season with the Raiders. Al Davis is a shitty boss, but if he couldn't handle Al, it's going to spectacular to see how he handles the Tennessee boosters and fans. Good luck Lane. -
Barack Obama's Inauguration

I don't get some of the apprehension of Obama picking Hillary as Secretary of State. She has been a good team player for the Democrats in the Senate and there is no reason to think why she can't do the same for an Obama administration. I think some of this "HILLARY WILL UNDERMINE OBAMA" stuff is just bordering on paranoia/being made up for headlines. And really, the only foreign policy that she and Obama disagreed on during the primary was having talks without preconditions to enemy states. It's going to nice to have a cabinet full of people with strong opinions and convictions instead of yes men. -

Then would lose to the Red Sox in the ALDS. -
I don't follow that one Porter. If Chicago signs McNabb, I can't imagine him not starting. Are the Bears that high on Orton now?
-
The Raiders are not going to sign Donavan McNabb to start because they have too much money invested in JaMarcus Russell for him not to start. I'd like to see where is Russell next year where there is hopefully (fat fucking chance) not as many distractions as there is this year and a little more talent on offense. I wouldn't be surprised to see Michael Vick in silver and black in two years. I see McNabb going to either Chicago which is his hometown or the Vikings where their quarterback of the future flopped. I don't see Parcells in Miami particularly interested in McNabb and I don't think the Chiefs want to mess with Tyler Thigpen too much. The only places where I could see McNabb that are not the Bears or Vikings are places where they have no quarterbacks or looking for a veteran to play well during a rebuilding process like the Lions or 49ers.
-
Well the question was which 10 quarterbacks I would take right now over Matt Ryan, and based on right now I would take Matt Cassel. Matt Ryan is an expectational rookie quarterback and there is no doubt he has the chance to surpass Matt Cassel and a bunch of others in time and be the quarterback in the NFL. But, before we go gaga over him, I want see him repeat and build this season next season. Matt Cassel is in the same boat, but at 27, I trust his maturity a little more than a 23-24 year old.
-
Having Moss, Welker and co. at your disposal doesn't equate to automatic success in my book. Plus the Patriots this year aren't the same team Tom Brady had last year thanks to injuries, key players leaving etc. And in my eyes, Matt Cassel as proven himself to be a good quarterback in the brief time he has led the Patriots. I mean Matt Cassel had to follow Tom Brady and perform well on team that expected to go back to the Super Bowl again, while Matt Ryan, who is have a nice season as well, is leading a team that was expected to be rebuilding and has come out of nowhere. I don't think you plug Matt Ryan into the Patriots and expect him to have as pretty good of a season as Matt Cassel. Comparing the pressures of following one of the best quarterbacks in history and leading a team that is Super Bowl or bust and the pressures of being a rookie quaterback on a rebuilding team that Matt Ryan came into the league with, then yes I would take Matt Cassel over Matt Ryan.
-
Well explain to me why Matt Ryan is better than Matt Cassel? Putting up a pair of 400 yard games kinda proves to me, Matt Cassel is damn pretty capable.

Tennessee @ Detroit- As a Raider fan, I feel badly for Lions fans having to witness this shit. The road to 0-16 rolls on. Seattle @ Dallas- Dallas is letting an easy one get by. They win easily Arizona @ Philly- It's high noon for Donovan McNabb, and it ain't going to be pretty. The team is already in shambles, so I say Arizona wins to win their division. Sunday, Sunday, Sunday!: San Francisco @ Buffalo- the West Coast teams can't get up for East Coast start times, so I pick the Bills. Carolina @ Green Bay- Green Bay is schizophrenic at times, I think Carolina wins. Giants @ Washington- Even though they have the NFC top seed locked up, I don't see the Giants letting up Colts @ Browns- the Colts keep marching on. Ravens @ Bengals- The Ravens keep rolling Miami @ St. Louis- After a damaging loss, Miami rebounds against the shitty Rams. Saints @ Bucs- The Bucs get revenge for the first week loss and end the Saints playoff hopes Atlanta @ SLAM DIEGO- Die Chargers Die. Matty Ice does his thing and puts the reeling Chargers at 4-8. Pittsburgh @ New England- Matt Cassel torches the Steelers D in this one. KC @ Oakland- The push for worst division winner ever continues. It's a long shot, but The Raiders might have just waken up. We go to 4-8 to tie the Chargers for second place and make the Charger game actually important. Denver @ Jets- Die Broncos Die. The Donkeys are frauds and with a loss and a Raider win, two games down with 4 to go is doable. SUNDAY NIGHT MADNESS: Chicago @ Minnesota- teams are about eve, so I'll go with the home team. MONDAY NIGHT MURDER: Jacksonville @ Houston- Boring. I'll the Jags in the worst MNF game of the year.

1. How do you feel about the Dallas/Detroit tradition? How would you change it, if at all? It's a good tradition, but I actually kind of like the Cowboys so they can stay, I understand the tradition and all of the Thanksgiving game with the Lions, but I'm sick of them stinking it up (when was the last time they won the damn thing?) let's give another a shot to play that day. 2. Are there ten QBs in the league -right now- that you would take over Matt Ryan? If so, who? If not, does that blow your mind? Where do you rate him? Yes, Matt Cassel, Phillip Rivers, Brett Favre, Drew Brees, Kurt Warner, Ben Rothlisburger, Carson Palmer (when healthy), Peyton Manning, Eli Manningand Tony Romo. I rate him as a really good rookie, but I want to see him repeat and improve on this season for many seasons to come. 3. Who is the best player in the AFC west? Of course Nnamdi Asomugha, one of the few bright spots of the season for my Raiders. The Raiders are going to franchise him again after this year and hopefully do the right thing and trade him for some picks (we need O-line and D-line help bad). He needs a change since after all he came in 2003. But with the cancer know as Deangelo Hall gone (weird how the Raider secondary got better with him gone hmmm) and with some of that money freed up and hell, maybe just maybe, Al seeing the writing on wall in terms of him running the team day to day, he could convince Aso to comeback and give him a fat ass contract. 4. Where does Donovan McNabb play next season? I'm seeing McNabb in a Bears uniform. 5. Why does Seattle suck so bad? Injuries, lame duck head coach and I think the core of Seahawks ran its course.
-
I'm loving the fact that the Raiders are only a game out of second place and three games out of first in the AFC West at 3-8. Holy shit this division is bad. The Chargers play the Falcons next week and we play the 1 win Chiefs (at home!). Second place is within our grasp. Listening to Greg Papa calling the Raiders first offensive touchdown in forever was awesome.
-
So the Raiders get a big win over the Broncos and I have an LSAT class the whole say. Go fucking figure. Oh well, 3-8!

I'll assume you just attended junior high and high school out here (just high school for me). Believe it or not, Canyon Country has gotten worse lately (damn economy). Shootings, hate crimes (some wise guys painting swastikas, and there was black male beaten not too recently) , robberies and just general bullshit. Like, the area around Canyon High is fucking scary at night now (just being black in Canyon Country is a dicey proposition now). It's like there is two SCV's now, the upper middle class soccer mom plastic surgery crowd and the redneck meth underbelly (don't forget the Mexicans!). Seriously, if anybody want to see a real world example of the effects of classism, Santa Clarita would be a good place to start. -
