    Day of Reckoning 2

That's not the World Heavyweight Title. That's the WCW Championship. And yes, there is a difference. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Okay, fair enough... I find it funny that the ring crew always manages to place the defunct WCW World Heavyweight title under the ring for apparently every show. At least chairs and extra ring bells can come in handy.
  2. Where's the 'None of the Above' option when you need it? I have nothing against Austin, but he hasn't been entertaining for years. And Foley will likely just be shilling the new book.

In Story mode, I find it funny that despite the fact that the World Heavyweight Title has been missing for seemingly forever, I can always just grab it from underneath the ring and use it as a weapon.

    So I'm going to Unforgiven.....

"How do you justify Tyson Tomko still having a job while Charlie Haas got fired?"
  5. Well, if we're going to nitpick that much about IYHs, the first PPV to have the "IYH" as the secondary title was the 9/97 Ground Zero (also the last house entrance set). The last PPV to have the IYH ring apron was No Way Out 98. As stated above, the last official IYH was Backlash 99. And to add to the actual topic, I'll definitely be buying the entire set. So far, the only WM I have on DVD is XX, so I won't be getting too many repeat DVDs. Most of the tapes I recorded off of PPV are still great quality, but the Legacy re-releases from 1999 aren't doing so great.

    Smackdown VS Raw 2006

The outfit doesn't bother me at all since she's worn that particular outfit most of the time pre-injury. I rarely, if at all, use the girls anyway. I agree with everyone about the automatic pinning moves too for all the same reasons. It's really frustrating.

    Taboo Tuesday Poster

As much as I'd like to see Angle get the title, I'd hate to see him have it for such a short time. I could definitely see WWE doing it though, mainly to make the fans feel like they were really a part of getting Cena the title, again. Last year was a foregone conclusion... it was basically "vote for which wrestler you'd like to see HHH beat." The only problem with this scenario: who else could be in the vote to make sure it's not too much of a one-sided win for Cena? Maybe HBK, but he's the only one.

Quick Question About One Night Only

From what I remember, the only match that was hyped in the US was Bulldog-HBK. They mentioned that several times on TV, I believe first announcing it at Summerslam complete with match graphic.

Is there a way to create an entrance attire for CAWs? I haven't been able to find any menu or anything. Also CAW-related, I'm trying to make Ultimate Warrior. First, anyone come across any tassles or armbands.. I didn't, so I'm assuming they're not there. Then there's the paint feature. I made a Warrior logo, but I can't figure out how to actually place it anywhere. I found a menu to put it on his face, but I just want to put it on his tights. Does anyone know what I'm talking about? One more annoying piece: Since you don't start out with too many attribute points, I made sure to focus on strength and durability most of all for Warrior, rather than say, flying/aerial skill. So, of course, when I'm doing the moveset, it suddenly requires higher flying skill in order to do a simple big splash.

    Day of Reckoning 2

I only started the story mode yesterday. Single matches are fine, but tag matches can be near impossible. Me & Jericho vs. HHH & Flair. It went about 28 minutes, and it ended when HHH KO'd me with a Pedigree. Every pin or submission finisher is automatically broken up by the partner. Any time I did my finisher to Flair and then knocked HHH off the apron, I went back over to pin Flair and got one counts. This was Normal difficulty, by the way.
  11. I predict Last Man Standing for Matt-Edge. It's really the most logical one. I'm not a Masters fan, but a win over HBK would REALLY boost his credibility, but I can't see HBK doing two straight PPV jobs. The only way I can see Masters winning is via Flair heel turn or something.
  12. HBK-Mankind (Mind Games) and HBK-Taker (HIAC, Badd Blood) should help you out. Those two were on at least three DVDs, each.

No tassles for London, which is good, because I think he ditched the tassles a few weeks ago. He has his light blue attire with vest for his entrance, which has the giant stomping and then run down the aisle. Dropsault is included as well.

    Smackdown VS Raw 2006

At this rate, HHH will be rated an Overall of 98. AndrewTS sounds more right every year about the crappy stat system for the Smackdown games. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Considering Orton was an 88 in SvR, I think 86 is much better. And wow, Orton actually looks good in this year's game.

    Day of Reckoning 2

I picked it up yesterday. I never played the first DOR, but I did play WM XIX, so I'm mostly used to the controls. So far, I've only had a few exhibitions. First match was Shelton (me) vs. Masters, whose entrance is perfect. Next, it was London (me) vs. Carlito. I completely forgot about the stamina meter, so by the end of the match, after every single move I did, London would be weary, which allowed Carlito to just hit his finisher on me (Orton's Overdrive, I believe?). So far, so good.

Oh you suck! ehh fine, fine.....since your all posting in here anyways...YOU ALL SUCK FOR THAT! But yeah...I'm enjoying the game as well, I haven't gotten that far because I've been working on building a CAW...it took a while. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I think it was your sub-title that turned everyone off your thread. Too much anger or craziness. The EB Games near me expects some copies in later today, so I'll probably pick one up later.

    Rewriting History

I've been loving the build in the Bret-HBK feud since Survivor Series, but are both guys still heels? I think HBK obviously is, but is Bret still anti-USA, or is he supposed to be cheered?
  18. During the PPV, Bulldog & Owen jumped Austin when he went into the bathroom, which was seen in the background while Marc Mero was shilling merchandise or something. Later, Gorilla Monsoon was updating everyone on Austin's condition, and he said that his match with Bret would still happen, but to give Austin time to recover, he would put Taker-Mankind first. Edit: If you were looking for the reason in real life rather than kayfabe, like above, I'd take a guess that they maybe thought the Austin-Harts was the hotter feud.

    Day of Reckoning 2

I decided to buy it when I was at the mall earlier since I haven't played any new games since November. I went to EB Games, GameStop, KB Toys, Sam Goody, FYE, Sears, and Boscovs... all sold out or didn't get it in yet (FYE, KB). For those who say reserving a game is pointless, at Gamestop, the guy told me that in addition to the reserved ones, the store got one extra copy, which sold quickly.

    Rewriting History

If Austin wins the title at WM XIV, anyone else think that an Austin-Vader PPV main event would be good? It looks like you guys haven't given up on Vader like the WWF did, and this match would be much better than a series with Mark Henry.
  21. I don't know about the other two, but I'll try and answer this one. First, the only factor in determining which team the survivor(s) went to for the final match was whether they were face or heel, obviously. As you said, it might as well have been a way for Hogan and Warrior to close the show on top. It was DiBiase and crew on the other side because Hogan and Warrior already had to face their rivals (Earthquake, Perfect) in earlier matches and win to advance to the finals. And, obviously, they tried to make it seem like Hogan & Warrior (& Santana) wouldn't have a chance of winning with it being 3-on-5. The match as a whole didn't really mean anything, and all it did was show that Hogan & Warrior are still friends (in storyline terms) and are better than anyone else.
  22. I'd add Austin vs. Rock from DX: IYH. Not a classic, but it's a really fun match that only goes about six minutes. Another to maybe add would be Austin vs. Angle from the October 2001 Raw, since he did regain the title. Unless it was included in the first blood match (I can't remember), add as an extra the supermarket brawl with Booker T.
  23. I'm limited to just WWF, and I haven't seen either of the Benoit matches from 2001 since the original broadcasts, so I won't include them. 1. vs. Bret Hart (WM 13) 2. vs. Bret Hart (Survivor Series 96) 3. vs. The Rock (WM XVII) 4. vs. Owen Hart (Summerslam 97) 5. vs. Kurt Angle (Summerslam 01) Like most, the Bret series and Rock match from WM XVII dominate the list. I've always loved the Owen match, with the only downside obviously being the poor finish.

    OAO SmackDown! Thread

Best Smackdown in a while, with a solid main event. I'm trying to figure out what they're doing with Christian. It looked like he was maybe turning face throughout the night, but then he leaves Booker behind to job to a double back suplex. Benoit's coffee break was gold, and speaking of gold... Mr. KENNEDY... Kennedy. It was the first time I've ever seen him, so I knew absolutely nothing about him. The ring announcement was entertaining, but as soon as he screamed at the fans to move so he could throw Funaki into the railing, only to throw him in the ring, I officially started to like the guy, just like Tazz. The finisher was amazing, and if he keeps it up, it'd be the most unique new finisher in WWE since probably the F5.
  25. Was the incident with Vader on the Kuwait talk show from April 97 actually legit?
