RAW: Edge & Snitsky vs. Kane & Big Show Viscera vs. The Heart Throbs Rene Dupree vs. Val Venis HBK & Hulk Hogan vs. Kurt Angle & Carlito Carlito's Cabana with Hogan Highlight Reel with Cena Diva Search Bikini Bootcamp

Wow.. that was one of the worst Raws I've ever seen. The only thing that was actually good was the Cena-Jericho segment. Everything else was just horrible. The diva segment was just embarrassing. HBK's turn was surprising, but please tell me it isn't leading to a match at Summerslam. I think we all know that the reason he turned is the usual "you were trying to steal the spotlight" or something. I have zero interest in this. No Shelton for two staight weeks. It's a good thing he lost his title so he could be traded over to Smackdown or something.. oh wait.
-
God I hope they extend the Jericho-Cena feud to Summerslam instead of just a title match within the next few weeks. The second half of that segment was just awesome. But, I was expecting Y2-Gay instead of Y2-Cheap.

I just finished reading it a few minutes ago. It's sounds really good compared to last year's. It says the match types will be more realistic, so hopefully Cage and Ladder matches, among others, will be changed. From the cage match picture caption, I think that means at least they will. I wasn't begging for buried alive matches, but at least it's something new. It think it says it only happens in one arena, and the grave has Survivor Series on it. Hopefully they'll allow you to fight into the ringside area. The graphics look great, as usual. The Roster. It says there will slightly be more superstars. Slightly? Last year's game had too small of a roster which forced them to get rid of the Tag and Cruiserweight titles from Season. They're expanding the legends roster as well. I'd rather just have a bigger roster than any legends. I hope they allow you to defend titles in exhibition. He only says that Season is really cool. I hope this means that not almost every single story involves hooking up with a diva. And rejoice, voice-overs are back. He says they're improved, but last year's were really horrible. I think we could all do without them.

Spider-Man & X-Men: Arcade's Revenge. There's a game that I believe I can safely say that I'll never beat. Both of Storm's and Gambits are too frustrating (although I've beaten both of Gambit's about before, and one of Storm's), and I still can't beat Juggernaut in Wolverine's second level despite cutting down all the anvils.

Wayne's World 2, yet it never gets old.

I've started playing Captain America & The Avengers for SNES (it's also on Genesis). I'm almost positive it was an arcade port. Anyway, it's barely much fun at all since it's just so annoyingly hard. I've had it forever, yet I've never beaten it. I finally got to the last stage against giant Red Skull yesterday with only 18 points of life left. One punch from him, and I'm dead. As bad as the game is, however, I'm determined to beat it. I've probably played harder games, but I can't think of any others right now. UPDATE: In a miraculous effort, I was able to beat Avengers. My life may as well be complete.

I think a logical thing would be for HHH to feud with Angle. Let's say he starts demanding a title shot against Cena, then have Angle, among others, get in HHH's and Bischoff's face saying that he doesn't deserve a title shot since he lost 3 times to Batista. There's already seeds planted for a feud between the two from Angle's first night on Raw as well as his match with Flair last week. Have a No. 1 Contender match at Summerslam between the two. Logic says a feud with Angle, but WWE logic probably says a title feud with Cena... or HBK. I'd like to see Jericho keep feuding with Cena up to Summerslam, but I'm not getting my hopes up.

Alot of people complain if you have Cable on your team, but it's how business gets done, goddamnit.
-
About Chavo... I'm almost glad that he's away from the Cruiserweight Title, because he's been getting really stale in the division this year. But, even though the Mexicools are one of the worst gimmicks I've ever seen, I thought it was actually interesting how Chavo and London actually seemed to work together for a minute until they were outnumbered on SD. I figured it might lead to a normal tag or six-man tag at GAB, but I guess not.
-
I was doing that a few weeks ago. I destroy everyone with Gambit, Omega Red, and Cable.
-
Most of the trades seem pointless, but I guess they're good for a few. Regal can get away from Tajiri & Eugene, and the Bashams and La Rez now get to go on their own, unless they pair Dupree with Conway. Already mentioned, but why is Chavo on Raw? I'm disappointed that neither Haas or Benjamin switched, because that's a feud I actually want to see. So, can we assume that Grenier will stick to his French anti-US gimmick? I can't see him or Dupree doing anything else, but at least Conway can probably leave it behind since he's American.

I've never finished Metroid Prime despite being really far into it. I'm somewhere in the Phazon Mines after getting the power bombs. One of the reasons why is because I dread walking out of the save point room because of those bad guys that fall from the ceiling and are insane. They have their own evil music, too. I remember usually losing an energy tank or two just for them. Maybe I'll finish it one day. I think Super Ghouls 'n Ghosts would be one of the hardest games ever if not for the fact that they allow you to have so many credits/extra lives. I've been playing it lately, and here's some other thoughts... - The dagger and crossbow are the two best weapons, and everything else sucks, especially the axe, which actually gets worse as you update your armor. - The second level (ghost pirate ship / water rafting) is just really annoying to go through. While the raft level is actually pretty easy, it just takes too long. - Those red bad guys with wings that are found in the castle and toward the end of a few earlier levels are even worse than the bad guys mentioned above from Metroid Prime. - The boss from the first level, the giant bird that stretches its neck, wears a pair of torn pants... - This is easily one of my favorite games of all time, mainly because it was one of the first games I ever got for SNES. Addams Family for SNES is also a really great game.

WWE (Smackdown!) @ Trenton, NJ - Sovereign Bank Arena - October 6, 2003 WWE Smackdown! Tag Team Champions - US Champion Eddie Guerrero & Chavo Guerrero Jr. defeated Doug & Danny Basham at 9:53 when Eddie pinned Doug with the frog splash; after the match, the Big Show came to the ring and hit a chokeslam on both Guerreros Spanky, Paul London, & Orlando Jordan (sub. for Sho Funaki) defeated Nunzio, Johnny Stamboli, & Chuck Palumbo at 6:39 when Jordan pinned Nunzio with the swinging neckbreaker Charlie Haas (w/ Shelton Benjamin) pinned Billy Kidman at 6:05 following a DDT from the top rope after Benjamin prevented Kidman from hitting the Shooting Star Press WWE Smackdown! World Champion Brock Lesnar defeated Kurt Angle and John Cena at 2:16 by pinning Angle with the F5 WWE Cruiserweight Champion Tajiri pinned Rey Mysterio Jr. at 9:12 with a roll up after spraying green mist into the challenger's eyes Bradshaw pinned Rhyno with the Clothesline from Hell at 2:23; after the bout, the Basham Brothers attacked Bradshaw Torrie Wilson defeated Sable, Dawn Marie, and Nidia in a bikini contest; Sho Funaki was the guest MC Chris Benoit defeated Albert at 5:29 via submission with the Crippler Crossface The only house show I've ever been to, and it was actually disappointing for the most part, especially because of the 3-way between Brock, Angle, and Cena that lasted 2:16. It was the three of them just hitting each other's finishers for two minutes.

I can't remember ever thinking it was real. My dad almost immediately told me it was fake when I first started watching around 1990-1991, but I just kept watching anyway. He didn't like wrestling, but he was a huge IRS fan.
-
With Christian and Benoit on SD, just send over Benjamin and I'll actually try to make sure that I'm home for SD. And yes, Christian needs Tomko EDIT: Actually, Tomko needs Christian...
-
Is SD being taped right now? I thought it was taped before Raw the past few supershows. Well, with RVD and Angle on the same show again, I'm at least hoping for a feud between those two in the future. I know they had a few matches during the Invasion and after, but I honestly can't remember much about them.

I personally liked "Nash would tear a hamstring just picking up the phone."

Except for the diva crap, I enjoyed Raw for the most part tonight. Angle vs. Flair was a really fun match to watch with all of Flair's cheating. I was marking out during the entire match. By the end, I was actually cheering for Flair. When the match was first announced in the beginning, I just assumed we'd get 5 minutes in and then they'd end it on a run-in, no contest, screwy finish, or whatever, so I was actually surprised they went 15+. The six-man was another fun match, although kind of disappointing. Watching Hogan was fun, but I would've rather had Rock or Jannetty. And plus, Jericho and Christian were both tossed aside like nothing. At least it was Tomko who took the pin. The match was a little short and didn't seem to allow Cena to get involved as much, but hey, the diva search's 10-15 minutes were completely necessary. I assume that no Shelton Benjamin means he goes to Smackdown?
-
While I partially agree, it's mostly a matter of wanting a good match, just like you would want Batman to be a good movie. When you spend $35, you don't want to be disappointed with the show.
-
Who's the crowd behind in the 3-way, and is it good so far?
-
So what's actually happening? What is Big Vis taking the hos and Lillian's pissed?
-
But yes, I do agree that's it's stupid for HBK to inevitibly ignore any back work and nip up...
-
I really don't understand why people think it's absolutely necessary for Angle to work the ankle all the time. From when Shamrock did it up to this very day, most fans are trained to believe that the Ankle lock is one of the most painful submissions. Yes, it would be good to work the ankle from time to time, but Angle also has the Angle Slam. While it barely seems to ever finish matches anymore, at least on the first try, I think it's smart strategy to target both parts of the body. If the back work and Angle Slam fail, there's always the Ankle lock, and vice versa.
