    Anyone noticed

Whether or not Savage is eliminated is debated by Heenan & Monsoon on commentary. Heenan actually says that the rules state that someone must eliminate you, and you can't eliminate yourself, so they let it go. Obviously, the rule was forgotten over the years (Drew Carey in 2001). Making this even funnier is the fact that Boss Man technically eliminated himself, also, since he jumped at the top rope, only to bounce over, without Flair touching him.

    I'm going to Smackdown.

HHH is on Raw Tawren. If you want to do a creative Smackdown sign, you do "Justa Big Loser". That is probably the lamest sign idea ever. My choice: "It's Tuesday" You do realize that it's Smackdown's overdone sign that obviously is NOT creative, right? It's like Raw's anti-HHH "Game Over" sign.

    Another "build a card" thread

WWF SURVIVOR SERIES! 1. Survivor Series Elimination Match: Blackjack Mulligan, Blackjack Bradshaw, Blackjack Windham, & Bart Gunn vs. Henry Godwinn, Phineas Godwinn, Uncle Elmer, & Hillbilly Jim - Bradshaw pins Elmer with Clothesline from Hell (2:35) - Windham pins Phineas after a piledriver (4:49) - Henry pins Bart after a Slop Drop (7:01) - Mulligan and Hillbilly are both counted out (10:18) - Bradshaw pins Henry after a spinebuster (13:20) Survivors: Blackjack Bradshaw & Blackjack Windham (1/2*) 2. HHH def. Kane and Undertaker in a Triple Threat Match (12:36). Taker survived three straight Tombstones and hit one Tombstone on Kane on a chair. HHH, up after a chokeslam through a table, runs in and hits one Pedigree on Taker for the win. Due to pre-match stipulations, HHH gets a title shot sometime in the future. (*) 3. Gene Snitsky def. Sycho Sid (7:40). After a referee bump, Sid set Snitsky up for a powerbomb, but Heidenreich ran in and hit Sid over the head with his poetry book, allowing Snitsky to elbow drop him for the pin. (-**) 4. The Rock (1998 face version) def. Owen Hart © (1996 heel version) to win Intercontinental Title (13:48). Owen went for the Sharpshooter, but Rock kicked out of it. Owen charges and Rock throws him into an exposed turnbuckle and Rock Bottoms him. (***1/4) Backstage, Maven, who joins Hulk Hogan, Jim Duggan, and Brutus Beefcake in a Team Elimination Match later, is interviewed. Suddenly, all four Radicalz jump him and beat him unconscious. 5. Bret Hart def. Mr. Perfect in a Best 2/3 Falls Match - First Fall: Mr. Perfect pins Bret after a Perfect Plex (9:09) - Second Fall: Bret small packages Perfect (16:56) - Third Fall: Perfect submits to Sharpshooter (22:35) (Post Match, Bobby Heenan tries to hit Bret with a chair, but when Bret ducks it, the chair bounces off the rope and hits Heenan in the face, allowing Bret to apply the Sharpshooter) (****1/4) WWF Title: Chris Jericho © vs. Brock Lesnar... but first Chris Jericho comes out on crutches, claiming that an injury is preventing him from competing. With Brock already in the ring, Jericho sends in a replacement... Lenny Lane! Right before the new match can begin, Commissioner Sgt. Slaughter comes out and says that Jericho's title will be on the line in the new match. Jericho is visibly pissed, but the match begins... 6. Brock Lesnar def. Lenny Lane via DQ (2:05). Brock just toys around with him, giving suplex after suplex. When he brings him up for the F5, Jericho has enough, runs in, and takes out his leg with the crutch to draw a DQ. (DUD) Slaughter comes back out and orders the Jericho-Brock match to go on... 7. Chris Jericho def. Brock Lesnar to retain WWF Title (15:25). After a referee bump during an F5, Christian and Lance Storm run in and attack Brock, only to be taken down with ease. With Jericho begging for mercy, HHH walks out and takes Brock out with a sledgehammer. As the referee comes to, Jericho covers Brock. (**1/2) HHH gets on the mic and claims that he was given permission from Vince McMahon to get his title shot whenever he wants, so he wants it now. HHH rings the bell with Jericho still in there... 8. HHH def. Chris Jericho © to win WWF Title (1:06). Jericho can barely fight anymore, so HHH simply Pedigrees him after about a minute for the win. (DUD) 9. No Holds Barred: Taz def. Shawn Michaels (17:20). Taz brings out tables and chairs, and Michaels brings out a ladder. Both guys are busted open bad, with Michaels doing the worse bladejob. Taz catches a superkick, turns him around and catches him in a Tazmission for the submission win. (***) 10. Survivor Series Elimination Match: Hulk Hogan, Jim Duggan, & Brutus Beefcake vs. Chris Benoit, Eddie Guerrero, Dean Malenko, & Perry Saturn... (Maven is unable to compete) - Duggan pins Eddie (0:12) when Eddie charges but runs into a clothesline - Beefcake pins Malenko with a high knee (4:22) - At (7:00) in, Maven runs out, gets a hot tag, and pins Saturn after a dropkick (7:38) - Benoit pins Beefcake after a lowblow and roll-up with his feet on the ropes for extra leverage (9:04) - Hulk Hogan pins Benoit after Hulking up during a Crossface and finishing him with the Big Boot & Leg Drop (11:52) Survivors: Hulk Hogan, Jim Duggan, & Maven (1/2*) Post-Match, Beefcake returns and brings out Santa Claus to celebrate with the face team as the show goes off the air.

Yeah, I was actually just thinking about that earlier. So, the plan is to try for tickets tommorrow.

Presale Password for RAW/SD Taping in MSG

I just found out, and there aren't any really good seats left for four people, so I'm not going to bother.

    Lame finisher names

Patriot's finisher names never bothered me, too much. The Patriot Missile was the diving shoulder block off the top, and Uncle Slam was the full nelson slam.

    Who said it?

Jesse Ventura, leading into Summerslam 99, I think.

    Wrestler's Worst Year

Almost every year has been bad for Jericho since 2001, most notably 2002... - Booked horribly as Undisputed Champion until WM X8 when he lost it - One month after losing the title, he's left off of the Backlash card - Loses to HHH, AGAIN, in HIAC at Judgment Day - Loses to Flair at Summerslam - Wins IC Title in September, only to lose it to Kane in October 2004 hasn't been good, either, outside of his feud with Christian. Once they had their cage "blowoff" match on Raw, it was pretty much downhill in terms of actually doing anything useful. All he did was lose to Evolution and Edge through the summer. From there on, he won the IC Title, but lost it the next month and again got lost in the shuffle.

March, 17, 2005 WWE SmackDown! Thread

Well, I thought Smackdown was much better than usual tonight. This is the first time in a while that I can remember both Raw & SD being good. I'm still wondering what they have planned for Booker T, if anything, at WM. This Heidenreich feud just doesn't seem to be going away. And I have no desire to see Big Show vs. Akebono, either. If it were up to me, I'd just book OJ vs. Charlie Haas vs. Booker T vs. Big Show in a 4-Way for the US Title, with Haas going over, but that won't happen anytime soon. With Show in the sumo match, I guess put Heidenreich in his place.
  11. How do the passwords become available? I'm hoping to get good seats for the MSG Raw/Smackdown tapings on 4/18, and the presale starts tommorrow morning. Anyone know that password?

    Favorite Survivor Series match ever?

My favorite usually changes every so often after watching them, but for now I'll say from 1995: Marty Jannetty, Hakushi, Barry Horowitz, & Bob Holly vs. 1-2-3 Kid, Skip, Rad Radford, & Tom Pritchard. Just an awesome match from opening bell to the finish with not much resting in between. I love seeing Radford giving thumbs up to Skip & Sunny after doing push-ups, only for Horowitz to cradle him. Then, Jannetty has his sick powerbomb on Skip from the top rope. The one flaw I can think of right now is the finish with Sid interfering. Other favorites... Team Flair vs. Team Piper from 1991 Wild Card Match 1995 Team WWF vs. Alliance from 2001 Team Austin vs. Team Bischoff from 2003

Benoit vs. Triple H on Raw tommorow night

I thought the match was great, particuarly the last few minutes. I was actually starting to believe Benoit would win with the Crossface and then Sharpshooter. I don't have a problem with HHH winning since he is the World Champ, but I do hate the fact that I literally called the predictable finish as soon as the referee turned around to throw Flair out: "Low blow... Pedigree".

    The MOST HATED

does anyone like Phoebe? She is AWFUL. As I said before, she is NEVER funny. A thing to remember too, is that Lisa Kudrow had extensive comedic training in Groundlings and was totally outclassed by 2 big chested hot chicks with no real comedic experience (well Cox was on Family Ties) Girls usually seem to find her to be hilarious.

    The MOST HATED

Phoebe in Friends is, by far, my most hated character of all time. She's never funny, and she often ruins any other funny moments involving anyone else. I'll also say Shawn in Boy Meets World. While I love the character of being good-looking and getting all the girls, which is mostly during the middle school days, I can't stand any time he has a hissy fit over something like living in a trailer or having the bad life. And in the later seasons, it's annoying whenever he's pissed at Jack for having the good life.

The OAO Jakks Classic Superstars Thread

Just opened a box of Classics 5 last night at work, and they all look amazing. I bought Brutus Beefcake and King Kong Bundy. Both are awesome, although I'm afraid to try and take Beefcake's jacket off, as it's so tight, it might tear. He comes with the hedgeclippers. For Bundy, unlike Yokozuna's small head, his head is the perfect size. I plan on picking up Terry Funk sometime soon, as well.

    Make your own wrestlemania card

I: Big John Studd vs. Andre the Giant II: Nikolai Volkoff vs. Cpl. Kirschner III: Intercontinental Title: Randy Savage vs. Ricky Steamboat IV: Dino Bravo vs. Don Muraco V: Strike Force vs. Brainbusters VI: Jake Roberts vs. Ted DiBiase VII: The Rockers vs. Barbarian & Haku VIII: Hulk Hogan vs. Sid Justice IX: Mr. Perfect vs. Lex Luger X: Bret Hart vs. Owen Hart XI: Bam Bam Bigelow vs. Lawrence Taylor XII: Goldust vs. Rowdy Roddy Piper XIII: Ahmed Johnson & Legion of Doom vs. Nation of Domination XIV: Tag Team Titles: New Age Outlaws vs. Cactus Jack & Terry Funk XV: European Title: Shane McMahon vs. X-Pac XVI: Chyna & Too Cool vs. Eddie Guerrero, Dean Malenko, & Perry Saturn XVII: WWF Title: The Rock vs. Steve Austin XVIII: Undertaker vs. Ric Flair XIX: Women's Title: Trish vs. Victoria vs. Jazz XX: Chris Jericho vs. Christian Benoit, Angle, and HHH, among others, were left off, unfortunately. And Shawn Michaels was reduced to a Rockers tag match, but it was good. II & IV are the most notable filler matches. Hogan vs. Sid is there only to get Hogan on the card. For XIX, it was either the Women's Title or Cruiserweight Title, and I chose the better match. I decided to use only one World Title match, for the hell of it.

    Smackdown! Spoilers

I'm loving Angle's 'go through HBK's career', although I would've liked to see Angle beat someone credible in the Ladder match. I'm really looking forward to seeing him vs. Jannetty next week. Although, I can't help but laugh at Jannetty since a neighbor that's about 21 years old now beat Jannetty in some Indy fed about a year ago.
  21. Can anyone refresh my memory of this? I slightly remember it, but I've totally forgotten when it happened.

    Post-Mania Draft!!!

I'd definitely send Orton and Jericho to SD. Right now, the only main event heels for Orton to feud with are HHH & Edge. We've already seen Orton have less than special matches with both. If they send him to Smackdown, he can at least have fresh matches with heels JBL & Angle and faces like Booker T, Eddie, and Cena. And you know WWE will want to do the "dream match" between Cena and Orton one day. Jericho NEEDS to get off of Raw desperately for all the usual reasons. He needs to re-establish himself as a main eventer, because the last time anyone took him serious as a threat to the World Title was back in 2001, and that was before his dreaded run as Undisputed Champion.

    The Best WrestleMania Card

Isn't already obvious that WWE sees Haas weaker than Benjamin with their pushes on each show? Not to mention Benjamin did beat Haas in the Smackdown Gauntlet match post WM XX.

    Generic Post-Raw Thoughts Thread

I didn't notice if anyone else thought of this, but would it be possible that Jericho wants a 3-Team Ladder / TLC match instead of just a six guys, every man for himself? If that's the case, I think it would most definitely be Jericho & Benoit vs. Edge & Christian vs. Regal & Tajiri. Obviously, Regal doesn't fit in there, but does Hassan as others have predicted? I'm sure that he probably meant a normal 6-way ladder match, but it could be possible.
