Anakin is sent after Dooku, and instead of capturing him, gives in to his rage and kills him, which sets off his descent to the darkside. All this happens early in the film, which leads to what I mentioned in the spoiler text a couple posts up.

Not at all. The Jedi forbid love, as love is an entangling emotion. The fear is that love will cause the Jedi to give in to their emotions, which leads to the darkside. Padme is A contributing factor in his downfall, but not THE factor.

Re: darkside turn... He turns before the fight - he begins to suspect ObiWan of having an affair with Padme (not true), and becomes increasingly jealous until he is ultimately consumed by his rage, gives in to the dark side, force chokes Padme, then duels w/ ObiWan.

TheForce.net message boards has someone claiming that he's seen a rough cut of the movie, and that it's "on par with Empire Strikes Back". That sounds doubtful to me, but hey - he posted a description of the trailer two weeks ago, and it's 99.9 percent accurate. Apparently Anakin figured out how to act in this one. There's also a couple pics of the Anakin/Obiwan duel, and seriously...I'm fucking amped for this movie.

I'm glad someone got around to saying it. DeNiro has been releasing stinkers left and right the past few years, and Pacino hasn't been in a movie in quite some time that actually garnered mainstream attention. I'd replace Grant with Bogart onto that list though.

This film was profound on a few levels - a satire of World War II with stereotypes out the asshole. It's genius.
