It's only 400 a month, utilities included in that, so unless I lose my job, I think I'll be alright. And if any mod wants to give me a parting gift, please ban Hermit.

She led in with "I know you're not the father, because I've been with both of you...." That's some deductive reasoning right there.

I loved Dude Where's My Car, and this seems to follow in the same footsteps, so I can't wait to see this movie. Plus, you get to see Doogie Howser do a line of coke off a stripper's ass, so you can't lose.

We used to have a pool in the backyard, but we never got around to cleaning it, so it only lasted about one night before it became too gross to swim in. If you want to see the backyard, dig up the EXTREME FIREBALL~! thread and you can see pics of the actual backyard. All in all, it should be a fun move. Frigid, I know that I can get internet installed, but I don't think there's enough demand for it among the rest of the guys. I'll pop in from time to time, and Spoon's talking about flying out to Arizona, so if anyone is going to be out this way, stop on by and we'll get faded.

Frigid is right...Choken seems to post for no reason other than to tell everyone that they're wrong, without adding anything to the actual conversation. In the thread about Anchorman, he posted saying that he didn't need critics to tell him that the movie was awful, then in a thread in the Music folder, he said that if you went to Warped Tour, you were an idiot. It's trolling at it's finest.

A) I don't watch the Simpsons. B) You used an emoticon to make a point.

Funny, because I don't want to waste any more time on Canada, A/K/A America, Jr.

Which CD is this off of? It's not off the S/T debut, it's not off "Freewheelin'", and the only CD I've ever heard it on is the Live 1964 CD.

Everyone has to get their ass kicked once in a while. If anything, you guys will fight, and if you land a few good punches and give him a few good bruises, I'm sure he'll grow some respect for you. I used to fight a kid every day back in Freshman year, then he transferred schools and I didn't see him for like three years. I saw him at a party a while back, and he came over and we talked like we'd been friends forever. Fight him. Learn your lesson. That's all there is to it.

Anchorman- The Legend of Ron Burgundy
justsoyouknow replied to DMann2003's topic in Television & Film
The man sometimes seems like he has no idea what he's talking about. "One of Anchorman's failings is that it doesn't mine more of that it-could-really-happen-and-often-does humor. Yes, the film is set in the 70's, and much has changed in local news fashion (you don't see leisure suits anymore, though big hair is a dependable staple)." That's one paragraph in his review. If you could tell me how those thoughts are connected, I'd be impressed. "But you'll also find yourself wishing that Anchorman took aim at such ridiculous practices as propping a reporter up in front of a darkened courthouse where a hearing took place six hours before just so the station can flash a "live" logo on-screen. Thats' just one of the many possibilities. Where do we begin with idiotic news-chopper stories? Car chases? Roaming meteorologist, cracking wise as he forecasts more hot weather from the zoo or wherever? At the beginning of Anchorman, a voiceover says the film is set in a time before cable news, a time when the local news was king. It's easy to also think of it as a time when sound bites lasted longer than seven seconds." Then he goes off on a rant about how no one takes the news seriously anymore, and how it's "entertainment for the dimwitted". -
Anchorman- The Legend of Ron Burgundy

Steve Carrell is a funny guy, the only problem is that he's going to get typecast really soon. The local papers here absolutely shit on the movie, tearing it apart in the Arizona Republic's review. They pointed out how the concept was imaginative, how anyone could make fun of the media, and how the jokes were hit and miss. Then they gave it three stars. -
Whoof. I went to a scenester kegger a while back, and they were playing The Postal Service. Just be glad they're not playing the Promise Ring, otherwise shit would have to go down.

I did a spit take when you had Stardust as a Gamorrean. That's just harsh, mang.

I'd be happy with either, honestly.

And then I will tell the story of the guy who insisted that Bidis got him buzzed, and then when I hung out with him once and he lit up, he sparked the filter.

Avoid Hometown Buffet like the plague, Hoff. It's good when you're A) Old or B) Stoned.

"Demontrate" must be one of those five-dollar words Mike likes to use.
