the fuck? I know Drowing Pool is very simplistic nu-metal, and it's not the best of the pool, but I just picked them out of the few possibilites there are for these type of bands. You know their lead singer is dead, right?.....

How did I not see this earlier? Heartbreaker is, far and away, his best album to date. Not just musically speaking, but vocal-wise as well. On a few of the more tender songs, he actually sounds on the verge of a breakdown (Come Pick Me Up, In My Time of Need)...and I'll admit, lloR N kcoR was pure shite. What? is absolutely right...after Lost Highway heard Love is Hell, they refused to release it, calling it "too dark" and "not what he was capable of". So, to spite them and give them the record they wanted, he recorded lloR n kcoR in a close to three-week span.

Since only one of my friends is 21, we'll probably all just go down to Mill Avenue and watch a bunch of drunk ASU girls flash everyone. It should be fairly entertaining.

I'll just say that Gary Jules "Mad World" is one of those songs that makes me want to kill myself. Fuck the Tears for Fears version. It's vastly inferior, and sparked a debate with a friend of mine who claimed that the original is ALWAYS better, no matter what. Also, Lou Reed's "Perfect Day" is one of those wonderfully twisted songs...and I've had trouble listening to Frank Sinatra from time to time. Songs like "I'll Never Smile Again", and "I'm a Fool for Wanting You" get me every time. Anything you can recommend off of that Spiderland album, Inc?

Simon's a manager or a producer or something of the sort... I was under the impression that Simon had something to do with BMG, while Fuller owned RCA...I could be horribly, horribly wrong, though. And I know that Dean Martin won't win this thing. I just want to see him do well, as he's the only one on the show in THREE SEASONS that I've actually rooted for. It's a shame that he won't win, but you have to admit that he has a great voice.

That big football player was incredibly mediocre throughout his performance. Although I did enjoy his wide variety of colored golfing hats, as well as his admission that he was metrosexual, I didn't enjoy his attempt at humor. "I'd like to make Simon's head bleed!" (Goofy face yielding no laughter). It's Simon who owns the god damned record company that you'll be signing with, you fucking idiot. The Hawaiin girl was pretty good, as was the girl who went last...she was hot at least. Bring on Dean Martin guy. I won't be biased, I swear. I did like how the only stuff by him that they showed was when he screwed up. When they had the episode where each individual had to sing, they didn't show his...seems to me like they're trying to hide the best singers so that you'll be surpised by them later on. That being said, I really hope Dean Martin guy does well. As it is now, he's the only one on the show that, if he released a CD, I would buy. Alright, let me sum this all up: Simon is the best part of the show, I don't see why everyone thinks it's "OMG SO AWESOME!" to try to tear him down. This is basically an interview for a major corporation...if you had to go for an interview at Microsoft, would you be like, "You know what, Bill, I'd like to make your head bleed."? I think not.
